Nov 2019: Horrible apartments!! Could list a million reasons why not to choose these apartments. Showed me the wrong floor plan saying I was going to be living in an updated apartment, finally got to my moved in date and was the wrong floor plan completely. Not updated AT ALL. If I wanted to change to the floor plan I was originally showed, I would have to pay EVERYTHING over again just to move. Maintenance said I got the worst apartment out of all of them. Horrible Bug problem (specifically roaches). The guy that would spray the apartments once or twice a month did a very poor job every time spraying. Made many complaints and never fixed it, even when I said I had babies, one was a newborn at the time. VERY high crime rate. So many cars broke into (including mine & my moms). Took over a week to fix a water leak the upstairs neighbors made. That’s now even half of the reason I give this place a 1 start (would give 0 if possible) Review from Google
Sep 2019: Great atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very quiet neighborhood. Love that it is pet friendly. Apartment was clean and room was very spacious. Maintenance are very quick when requesting fixes. Review from Google
Aug 2019: Great looking apartment! Staff is very friendly. Only four stars because we can hear all of our neighbors and some are not so considerate. They just leave their dogs feces in front of you apartment and loud bass. But other than those things I do recommend. Review from Google
Aug 2019: DO NOT LEASE AN APARTMENT WITH District West. #1: double charged us for a car port for 4 months #2: our heater started shooting sparks and it took them an hour to come fix it, then when he "fixed" he broke our ac and only heat would come on no matter what you did. It took him 5 times to get it fixed and one of those visits Trevor came home and found our door wide open with the maintenance keys still in it! My husband complained and all the office had to say was "we'll talk to him". #3: they towed my car after they sent an email about the parking lots being repaved and didn't include the whole side of our building in the email so none of us moved our vehicles. They towed 10 cars and charged us $25 a piece. #4: they put a notice on our door LAST NIGNT to have everything cleaned out of our sinks and bathtubs because they we're renovating all the pipe lines and plumbing TODAY THROUGH FRIDAY Review from Google
Jul 2019: A woman from the office told me to put my 8 week old puppy on a leash with an attitude while there are people with German Shepard’s and Adult small dogs with no leashes. I feel they should enforce that on all tenants and not just a puppy that didn’t bark at anyone. She watched me walk downstairs because she was at the door and didn’t say anything until she was going to leave. That was unprofessional. And I believe I heard gunshots in this location not long ago. Review from Google
Jun 2019: Hands down worst apartments ever...since I moved in we’ve had a cockroach problem, rude staff, tiny a** pools, it shouldn’t even be called a pool it’s a little puddle. And there are ridiculous fees everywhere...they charged me $100 just to tape a piece of paper to my door. I live 5 feet from the office! Since being moved in I’ve never been so excited to get into a new place. If there was an option to give negative stars I’d give it -2. Oh and don’t expect hot water because you’re not gonna get it for a few hours😂 Review from Google
May 2019: Overall the District West Apartments was a great place to live. Since I have graduated from Texas Tech I have recently moved out, but greatly enjoyed the convenience of the apartment's location. Everyone in the office was very helpful when approached and made sure you understood what certain charges were for on your bill(s). I hope to find an apartment like District West in my new location. Review from Google
May 2019: Appliances are always falling apart, water is shut off every other day, hot water takes about 30-1 hour to heat up. Worst apartments to stay at. Review from Google

Apr 2019: Rudest office staff I have ever delt with in my life. Not only are they rude they don't seem to care about the residents at all after they get you to sign a lease. Our neighbors are literally the loudest people on the earth, after several complaints nothing has happened they are still ridiculously loud at all hours. The maintenance staff is exceptional. Review from Google
Apr 2019: Phenomenal location great maintenance and very friendly staff. Couldn’t recommend this place any greater! Review from Google
Mar 2019: "District west Apartments is a Great place to live! Great value. Great location too! Helpful staff. Wish the outside was cleaner and that they offered an office with free printing and a free 24 hour gym."
Mar 2019: Don’t expect running hot water every day if you choose to live here. update: not much has changed but I saw the owner replied. I’ve been trying to get in contact with her for a month. Left voicemails and still no call back but replies on here. I’m to the point where I’m tired of always getting mad. I don’t get mad when I turn on my faucet expecting water to come out but I only get 3 drips. Or when I’m mid shower about to rinse my hair and the water starts to slowly turn off. I’m just begging, pleading please let me out of my lease!!! It’s ridiculous the amount of fees that are tacked onto rent (140+ On top of what they call rent) and this place still can’t get the water fixed right. I guess the pipes are as thin as the walls here cause every week, sometimes every day, AT&T accidentally hits a water line. I wanted to call AT&T and tell them we don’t want faster and better internet, we want water more so leave our water pipes alone! I just want out of my lease and have already started packing even though my lease isn’t up until November Review from Google
Mar 2019: Great, peaceful environment. So far, the service and maintenance has been incredible. Would definitely recommend.
Feb 2019: Honestly if I could give them 0 stars I would. I've lived here since January of 2017 literally since the week I moved in the water has been shut off at least once a week or more. It's rare that you get any hot water and having to fill up a pot and boiling water to shower you and your 2 kids Is not fun! especially for everything they charge you for. I also had a roach problem (not because my apartment was dirty) but my upstairs neighbor was disgusting and was infested. She had a very big dog that stayed in the house all day so "supposedly" when management or pest control would try to go and spray they couldn't get in because of the dog and the "fear of getting mauled" so the roach issue never got fully addressed until she moved out. And of course it wasnt managements fault it was hers for having a big scary dog that kept them out. When they cou Review from Google
Jan 2019: District West formerly known as Canyon Crossing, as can be seen with their poor attempt of covering up there old name around the area, was a very poorly managed apartment complex. I was a resident of this complex for 5 years. Throughout the time I lived there with my roommate we shared multiple good and bad experiences. Ill share the good first. The good. Some of the select staff were really great people. They were really nice to us and helped us out with issues that could be resolved quickly. That was about it. The bad. When we first moved in we noticed the complex has very thin walls. Too often we could here people outside talking, hearing our neighbors, etc. Later on the constant water shut off became so inconvenient. 90% of the emails that I had received from Canyon Crossing were about our water being turned off for a unknown amount Review from Google
Oct 2018: District West is in a great location right by the Loop. There seem to be a lot of negative reviews for these apartments, but the new management is doing a great job and I have few complaints. Office staff are friendly and the apartments are good. However, there are some water issues (water is shut off about four times a month or so because of leaks, broken pipes that need to be shut off in the courtyard). I still recommend this place and I enjoy living here. Also, rent rates are great for students! Review from Google
Oct 2018: The water here has always been a big issue here. After I moved in I learned that my water connection in my kitchen is backwards. So cold is hot and hot is cold. Trying to take a hot shower is damn near impossible. There’s never any hot water at any given time of the day or night. Someone somewhere is always hitting a water line or the equipment is faulty causing the water to be off for several hours at a time. On a non water issue, every night there’s a street race that takes place in front of my apartment. This goes on all night with very little sleep at hand. The upside is your close to what you need for restaurants, school and shopping. The downside bad area to love in, even more so when your told there’s been a high level of car break ins in your apartment complex. Review from Google
Oct 2018: The community is really nice and quite so far (been living here about a month). There aren't any loud distractions or unsettling sights. These apartments are comfortable and really aesthetically pleasing on the inside. Review from Google
Sep 2018: For the month I have been here it has been extremely enjoyable. Friendly neighbors, clean community areas, and very polite staff. Debris does tend to accumulate in the front door area of my building due to the weather, but with minimal work that is easily resolved. Review from Google
Aug 2018: A great place to leave. Seriously these reviews are true. I want people to see this here and be warned not to even consider this place. I had my ceiling cave in because of my neighbors. I warned management several times about them and I even had the police come down. After my ceiling caved I was stuck sleeping in my truck and never got any discount. My credit is still damaged from this place. don't make the mistake I made. don't live here. It will cause sleepless nights and years of financial issues. Review from Google
Jun 2018: DO NOT LIVE HERE! IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS THERE WOULD BE NONE!! Please be smart and trust the reviews. There are more bad reviews than their is glowing. DO NOT LIVE HERE. This apartment complex is very poorly ran. The office is UNPROFESSIONAL. Nobody ever answers the phone and if they do its only b/c you've kept calling. I lived here for two years and did everything I was asked of them before moving out. When moving in being young and dumb I ignored the reviews thinking "It could NOT possibly be THAT bad. But indeed, it IS THAT BAD. They have a HUGE pest problem, even though they say they do spary, THERE IS ALWAYS INSECTS. Priscilla is VERY VERY RUDE and does not maintain a professional relationship between residents and her position. She once was YELLING over the phone with my boyfriend about our pet deposit, which we payed and gave her Review from Google
Jun 2018: District West is in a great location right by the Loop. Office staff are friendly and the apartments are good. However, there are some water issues (water is shut off about four times a month or so). This hasn't really been an issue, but it does happen. I still recommend this place and I enjoy living here. Also, rent rates are great for students! Review from Google
May 2018: Love living here! Everyone is nice and willing to help answer any qustions I have. Review from Google
May 2018: If I could give this place negative stars, I would. When I first started looking for an apartment to live, i looked at all the reviews on this place, ignored them and said "it can't be that bad." Absolutely worst decision I ever made. The apartments are constantly infested with bugs. I clean and take trash out every single day and have even chatted with a few neighbors from different buildings to discover my building was not the only one infested. Management is extremely rude and has made more than one false accusation claiming I was violating my lease to get more money from me. So if you're trying to find a new place to live, don't be like me and ignore all of this. I wouldn't even bother wasting my time looking at this place. This has been the worst experience and you will regret it just like I do. Review from Google
May 2018: Awful Place to live. Not only is the management team incredibly rude and condescending, they also could care less for you as a person and only care about getting as much money out of you as possible. I would not recommend for my worst enemy to live here. Review from Google
