Hi, Loading...

Sep 2019: TERRIBLE place to live. We have had problems since the very beginning. We moved into a disgusting apartment that had not been cleaned and was only cleaned after confronting the property manager about it. There are paint stains all over the floor and our kitchen counter top is cracked in half. We moved in on the 16th of August and are STILL missing furniture for our unit. Under our sink is bowing due to previous water leakage. None of our maintenance requests have been taken care of. We moved into a roach infested apartment that we complained about the day of move in and it did not get sprayed until 10 days after living here. The communication here is terrible. They will tell you one thing and then a different thing the next day. I am not able to access MY packages because the apartment still does not have keys to THEIR OWN MAILBOXES and as a college student who needs their textbooks, this is VERY inconvenient Review from Google
Aug 2019: Price is reasonable. Pest control is a joke. Moved into a roach infested unit. Their bare minimum "spray" wasn't justified. They weren't in the apartment more than 2 mins. Only community amenity is the pool. The local towing company is predatory. The smoke alarms are outdated and out of regulation. You get what you pay for. I wouldn't recommend. Review from Google
Aug 2019: Be very careful when dealing w this company. My son was quoted $600 per month for a bedroom in a three bedroom apartment. I asked to see a "signature-ready" lease. Sure enough, the effective rent was $625. I confronted both the location and regional managers. Both refused to honor their initial quote, and, both deferred to some "milly-mouth" language of "monthly installments" ( I am still not sure how that is different from monthly rent payment); and, also the assertion that "all complexes do the same thing". The lease document is a bit tricky. It clearly identifies the requirement to pay 12 monthly payments of $600, but, only provides a lease term of 11.5 months. So, the effective rent is $625, not $600. This problem is systemic to the apartment industry serving the San Marcos students and their families. I can only hope that the CEO of this company will reach out to me! Review from Google
Jul 2019: Very reasonably priced! However the low price makes sense because the units are extremely old, and the management doesn’t care about the residents conditions. First problem I encountered was my units washing machine and dryer broke in the middle of the semester and it took maintenance 2 months to fix it after it was reported. I followed up with the front office multiple times and they would never give an estimated time for the machine to be fixed and kept making excuses as to why it wasn’t completed yet. The building is really old so they’re are bug issues. We’ve had to get our apartment sprayed twice for roaches since living here and it’s not like we’re leaving food out or dirty dishes. Last problem I’ve encountered is my A/C unit just stopped working in the middle of summer. The past 2 weeks and counting my A/C has been down and it’s 85 degrees in my apartment. I’ve called the front office 3 times and they send maintenance over but never find a solution Review from Google
Jul 2019: Great place to live! The leasing office is filled with great helpful people who attempt to even try to learn your name. The prices are manageable. The only complaint I have is maintenance. They pretty quick about completing small tasks, but anything pretty big like an AC repair does take some time to be completed, but doesn’t take insanely long. Review from Google
Jul 2019: I loved living at this property. The staff was amazingly understanding of my decision to leave. Trust me when I say that my reason for leaving was not because of the property, it was moreso due to a less than favorable roommate situation. Youll get the bang for your buck at this property. Manager Donyelle is amazing and assistant manager Katie Bowman are a joy to work with. Review from Google
Jul 2019: I’ve lived at this apartment complex for six years and over these six years my A/C had broken five times and they’ve taken weeks to repair it. I’ve had to deal with water damage, broken appliances, bugs, and seven different management companies. They charge way more than they’re worth. Sure you get granite counter tops and “hardwood” floors but it’s not worth it. They’ll take two years to repair a dishwasher and then they’ll do inspections with out giving you a notice. They walk into your room while you’re sleeping and without waiting for you to respond after knocking. I literally had a maintenance guy walk into my room while I was changing. Save yourself and find a better place to live. Review from Google
May 2019: The beginning of my lease was quite unpleasant, but management has changed and issues are being taken care of. Donyelle (general manager) has been wonderful and sincere with tenants. She’s the first manager that I have dealt with that actually follows through on her promises. The apartments are on the older side, but the recent renovations are nice and it’s on the less expensive side compared to other complexes in San Marcos. The only thing I would recommend is more lighting toward the front of the complex as it can get very dark on this street at night. Thank you for improving my experience! It goes to show that customer service really goes a long way! Review from Google

Apr 2019: I used a apartment finder here in San Marcos and he showed me for very convenient locations, and this one came in at number two. Review from Google
Dec 2018: Its a nice complex just needs to keep up on maintenance Review from Google
Nov 2018: They have free Starbucks coffee in the office. There are lots of contests for free stuff. They also like to give out free pizza to residents often. Anytime I have a problem the employee staff is polite and helpful. They even remember your name. Have bad credit? They'll work with you to let you know what your options are. Review from Google
Nov 2018: Great place to live nice rooms staff is great especially mrs Donyelle always looks out for her residents 👍🏾👍🏾 Review from Google
Oct 2018: I love living at Elevation on Post. The location is great about a 10 minute bike ride to campus, there is also a bus stop with a cover if its raining. We accepted an as-is apartment, but the complex staff was very understanding and accommodating to our issues. We have a beautiful forest out our bedroom windows and plenty of parking for residents and visitors. We are so happy to call Elevation our home. Review from Google
Sep 2018: First stop on and second off for the shuttle. Spring lake is a 5 minute bike ride. Which opens up to an expansive trail system. You can’t beat it Review from Google
Aug 2018: Not a good start at all. My daughter started moving in on Friday. THE APARTMENT IS FULL OF ROACHES!!! Went to the front office explained this to them. They said they would get it sprayed right away. Saturday I went 2 more times to the office still nothing. They are having the bug people come out on Tuesday there normal day. So they rent apartments to people FULL OF ROACHES. she did not stay there because of the ROACHES. she signed a year lease so she is stuck for one year. I will make it know to everyone I can that her place was full of roaches and the office people were no help. This is a horrible place. I will leave reviews everyone so no one else gets stuck. Jun 2018: Worst living experience I've had to date. The manager wouldn't let me move in until the room was "up to her standards" and I turned in the decisions made on some cases I had 5 yrs ago! On my move in day (after a 10 hr shift) I rushed to pay rent to move in around 5:30. I was told that a money order was the only acceptable form of payment and that I'd have to pay for a full month even though it was already mid May. So after telling Aria, the leasing manager, that I'd be right back with the money order, I arrived to a closed down office at 5:59 when they were scheduled to close at 6. I was forced to get a hotel for the night. The following day I was able to move into my empty/dirty ass room which shouldve been fully furnished and up to the managers standards. So there went another expense on an air mattress. After 2-3 weeks I finally got my furn Review from Google
Jun 2018: Utilities keep breaking and the parking lot is a pain. Old units with missing floorboards here and there. They had two mid lease inspections” for every unit (probably because most of the air conditioning units were sketchy). MOST IMPORTANLTY: these reviews are bs, they bribe new residents with waiving fees if you make a google review. —Overpriced, railroad intersection so train horns constantly, but I will admit the management and staff have always been helpful and friendly, hosting promotional events with free food, gift cards etc...also one of the better apartments if you like pets. Review from Google
Apr 2018: Had a great experience with the staff! All super friendly and helpful. The apartments are old though, and when I moved in I was provided with furniture that was chewed on and has not been replaced and the apartment was really dirty and smelled like smoke which was disappointing because of the price I am paying to live here. Overall not a bad place to live except for some annoying neighbors and trains. Review from Google
Mar 2018: DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!! I'm just going to give the run down of everything that has happened here in the short amount of time i have been a resident at Elevation. My A/C has gone out multiple times. I put in a maintenance request for my A/C it was hot outside and we were stuck in a tiny apartment with it being 85+ outside and also inside yet no one came to fix it. I had to bombard them to even come. That was just the first time this has happened multiple times. My hot water heater has gone out, my car has been towed even though i was a resident at the time and i had to pay out of pocket for that, another vehicle i have has a parking sticker on it and they put a towing tag on it saying it would be towed at my expense if it was not moved. The Maintenance team unsure of exactly who it was came in to fix my hot water heater and used my personal drill Review from Google
Mar 2018: Been here for two years and Elevation has undergone quite the remodel and upgrade! New countertops & cabinetry, newly furnished apartments, renovated front office, & new management has made this plave much better than when I originally signed. Review from Google
Mar 2018: Do not live here. This complex is terrible. My smoke detector was years out of date when I moved in and went off every time I took a shower. My heater had a missing part and wasn’t fixed until months after we were even told the part was missing. There are cockroaches coming out of the kitchen sink and after 3 maintenance requests being put in to do something about it, the problem has still not been resolved. I will not be living here again or recommending it to anyone. Do not live here. Review from Google
Feb 2018: There are much better apartments in SM. Utilities keep breaking and the parking lot is a pain in the rectum. They had a “mid lease inspection” for every unit (probably because most of the air conditioning units were sketchy). MOST IMPORTANLTY: these reviews are bs, they bribe new residents with waiving fees if you make a google review. —Overpriced, railroad intersection so train horns constantly Review from Google
Dec 2017: The staff is great but I have always paid more than my actual rent. Utilities are not included, they try to charge for every little thing, and the quality of the apartment is not that good. There are apartments cheaper and nicer than these. Review from Google
Nov 2017: Fantastic staff, the newly renovated apartments are beautiful. Love the new granite counter tops and flooring. Location is ideal to downtown San Marcos and campus. doesn't flood which is a necessity in San Marcos. Amenities have been renovated as well that include dog park, hammock garden, and pool area with grills. On the Texas State bus route and only takes about 7 minutes to get to campus. Review from Google
Nov 2017: Elevation's staff has done an AWFUL JOB when it comes to resident satisfaction . I CANT BELIEVE THIS. I have been without a working dryer for over A Whole MONTH, and they haven't fixed it. I HAVE TO FAN DRY MY CLOTHES OVERNIGHT and humidity is all over the apartment. The place itself is not bad and the price is reasonable but THEY don't TAKE CARE OF THE RESIDENTS AND IGNORE YOUR MAINTENANCE REQUESTS. My roommates and I have been calling constantly and asking them to fix our dryer but the don't take care of our problem, WHICH IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. WE are supposed to have washer and dryer inside each unit. IF YOU AND LOOKING FOR A NEW PLACE AND DONT CARE ABOUT HAVING YOUR NEEDS IGNORED. THEN MOVE HERE! Review from Google
