Jan 2020: NASTY PLACE As a parent I taught my child at a young age to clean. However his 2 roommates are the 2 nastiest individuals I have ever met. How do you have gnats in the freezer 🤷🏾‍♀️. And then to be penalized and fined because your 2 roommates can't seem to buy trash bags for their trash. I am NOT responsible for nobody but my son. I wish he had stayed where he stayed last year at the Reserve. And he wish he had stayed as well. Who owned these apartments? We need to talk!! #UPSETPARENT
Aug 2019: Management has been helpful to me since I’ve been there for about 7 months or so. Just moved into a 2 bedroom with my brother and there are Roaches 😡😡😡. Pest control should be coming through to clean it but still not happy that they’re there. Didn’t have that issue in my 1st apt but that may have been due to me staying in my room the whole time. Frank, Mark, Mason, Alexis and Deion are always helpful, won’t stay after this year though due to seeing the roaches. Review from Google
Aug 2019: Managers aren’t available when you need them! In addition, emails aren’t answered in a timely manner. Regardless of how busy it is there should always be someone available to help the current residents. Can’t access the student gym when needed because the “individual that works with the entry fobs” doesn’t work on the weekends. Someone should be able to at least help with the fob system when the “individual that works with entry fobs” isn’t available on the weekends”. Also, the cleanliness of the buildings is ridiculous. They care more about the buildings that are leased through A&T rather than those who lease through Burkely Communities. Review from Google
Dec 2018: DO NOT SIGN A LEASE HERE. The office is unorganized and will contact you for any random nonesense, walk into your apartment without warning and charge you with no warning. They placed me in a unit with an animal with no prior-notification and when I informed them of my allergies, they told me that I have to have a roommate mediation, get approved by this Mason character, and then I would have to pay them $200+ in order to relocate. I would not renew my lease here if they paid me. They hardly ever know what they’re doing and do not contact you over important matters. I pay $39/mo to rent furniture and it took me almost two months to get the furniture I paid for (including the BED!). Aug 2018: Fall 2018, moves in two weeks ago and classes have started without beds for the students who paid Two weeks ago for August’s Rent! Aug 2018: In my experience with the STAFF, they will assist as much as possible and they will go to great lengths for you. When going in to a bad situation, you have to go in with and open mind to realize things by putting yourself in their shoes to have the best outcome. The STAFF for me is beyond amazing but you only can get what you give. When dealing with people, the best peace is sience and a smile. There is no reason to get worked up over anything because 9 times out of 10 they were already working on it and as fast as possible. There is no other STAFF I would ask for because they have worked wonders for me which they will do the same for you. Review from Google

May 2018: I have lived in this apartment complex for 2 years and it’s honestly been shenanigans right from the start, for starters I had signed a lease for a completely different apartment than what they moved us into and waited until move in day to tell us. The lights in the breezeway were constantly broken and my roommates and I complained about this constantly, you DO NOT receive packages in a timely fashion they make constant account ledger mistakes lose paperwork and the “manager” mason is rude and unhelpful unless he is demanding payment we are in the process of moving due to A&T buying our building and were told we would not be receiving our PREPAYMENTS for July’s rent back until 30days after we move out. The Dean’s list credit is a joke and you have to hound someone just to get the credit applied to your account , nothing is fixed quic Review from Google
Mar 2018: I have lived at Sebastian Place since January 2017 & it has it’s ups and downs. First the WiFi here is just terrible they are suppose to be getting new services but as of now it’s still terrible. In the breezeway there is always dog pee, the sidewalks had dog poop on it sometimes. Next I pay for furniture and it’s some of the worse furniture ever. The bed is hard like being in a dorm, they brought me a desk 6 months later having me moving in, didn’t put it together for weeks, the glass isn’t even attached to the table. I rather pay more for quality furniture. The only positive about here is the closeness to campus, incentives for good grades & valet trash pickup. Review from Google
Feb 2018: I recently reviewed this location wrongly and falsely and I wish to correct it completely Mark and His staff and have been completely helpful in this business, I reviewed this place wrong about drugs, I'm regretful and remorseful in what I have said, I will never review this such again, Mark Everhart I am sorrowful and unable to refix the stupidity and damage I caused. Jan 2018: If i could give these people a zero i would because they are unprofessional and they want things done when it on their time. To start with, they moved me into a different apartment when i wasn’t even in town and didn’t even tell me that there was a dog in the apartment. Not even asking me if i was allergic to the dog. Then they move me into another apartment with a mother and a baby and didn’t even notify me that the girl have a baby. The mother and baby is fine but the principle of letting me know did not happen. Second, I’m fighting the assistant manager to open the portal so that i can pay my rent because i am not paying the rent the way he wants me to he’s don’t going to open the portal. Nov 2017: DO NOT MOVE HERE! I wish I could give this place zero stars. There was a shootout in the parking lot one time, on weekends you can't get any sleep because its too loud from parties, and they WILL HURT YOUR CREDIT! I moved out of this place and got charged like $70 for allegedly not taking the trash out (which was false). I paid the fee and still found they reported me to collections. If my credit had not been so good then I may not have been able to buy my first home. The only positive thing about this place is the fact that it is close to campus. They charged me an extra $25-30 each month because I "allegedly" went over on my energy bill. You've been warned. Review from Google
Sep 2017: Dear Reader, I would strongly recommend that you would not rent an apartment in this complex, or any other apartment/property belonging to the Burkely Community LLC. I repeat, do not sign a lease, it is not worth it even if they would pay you to live there. I want to give 0 stars but that is not possible with the review. I had the misfortune to rent an apartment with this company from August 2016 till July 2017 while pursuing my graduate studies and working for the admissions department at UNC Greensboro. Sep 2017: I give 2 stars because these people in the leasing office are extremely unorganized. This year everything was a mess, no keys were made in time for move in. I had to come back at 3pm to get my keys to move in. I still don't have gym passes, and they lost my lease agreement. Review from Google
May 2017: I live here under the " new management" its horrible if you're a parent looking to find you child off campus house please know this is a unsafe environment. Mar 2017: New management is cool and all and I do give credit where it's due the new management has been trying to clean up Sebastian from what it used to be but my main complaint is the wifi! It is TERRIBLE! Sometimes I can't even get my homework loaded and my pages have crashed during timed online hw and tests before. Very unreliable! I understand it may be cheaper to make it a community internet source but we are definitely feeling the consequences behind it. When I stayed in courtyard I had wired Ethernet cable access but I move to the nicer side (Sebastian Villages) and don't get the same convenient internet access. Review from 3/2/17 on Google
Nov 2016: This place is disgusting and full of shady staff who aren't helpful and will steal your money, they lie to you during the tour, they lie during your leasing process then they never return your calls, I had been living here for over a month before they ever gave me a mailbox key!! They use cheap flat paint on the walls so everything stains them, my carpets were soak and wet when I moved in, the leasing manager tries to pressure you to renew with promises that ARENT TRUE. Feb 2016: Everything is getting better now because Burkley Communities has taken over. They are quick to fix issues, send text/email when rent is due or you have a package, and do follow ups to see if your issue has been properly resolved. Also, they gave out $100-$125 gift cards for students who made the Dean's/Chancellor's list. Unfortunately, I won't be renewing my lease because they have switched to Student Housing only and I graduate in May. Review from 2/17/16 on Google
Feb 2016: This place is horrible. Management was slack since day 1. After signing my lease online, I called office to see what the next steps were in getting furniture, to which the man I was speaking with told me he would transfer me to the guy that does that. After being transferred, I was told all I had to do was tell him I wanted furniture, so I did and he said it would be taken care of. Move in day, no furniture. No one knew anything about it. Spoke with manager and she said I would have it by Wednesday, apologized, and gave me 125 off of my rent that month......NO FURNITURE FOR WEEKS! (More than 3 weeks). Sep 2015: If i could give this place no stars i would. Im a student at A&T and if not for the fact that campus was literally across the street from Sebastian i would not WOULD NOT WOULDDDDDD NOTTTTTTTTT live there. The "management" is terrible. The "staff" is terrible. Everything is just wrong. Maintaince always takes forever!! no security. The clubhouse never has working computers or printers. Oh and i was promised a gift card once i SIGNED MY LEASE AND DIDNT RECIEVE IT UNTIL A Whole YEAR LATER. smh. Im just currently waiting for this lease to go so i can leave!
