Feb 2018: I have been living in my rental property for 3 years. Rubec properties has been managing it for 2 of the three years. The staff is always friendly and willing to help with anything. Maintenance issues are handles promptly and fast. Paying rent is easy with the on line portal. They are great. Pia is so friendly and a pleasure to talk to. I'm a single mother of three that works hard to keep up especially when I'm working over time. I wish there were more people out there that cared about single moms and how they work hard to survive. Review from GoogleDec 2017: It's 3:50 in the morning. can't sleep because I'm dealing with a racoon over top of my head that's inside the beam of the roof, clawing and scratching. It's so aggravating when you have asked over weeks and weeks please come remove this racoon. They are debating on if their going to be responsible for the disposal of this pest. Because the entrance the racoon is coming through is on the neighbor side of the property. But for the most part I hear every move, noise this racoon is making. While I'm in my bed asleep. I want advise to rent from here they are terrible when it comes to this. No remorse that I can't rest for this pest, not only that. I have to be to work in 4 more hours. WITH no sleep. After extensive testing, we were told is not safe to stay at the property, but, realty company chose to try to weasel their way out of the lease.Here it is December, and the work is still not completed. Nov 2017: We have had our property managed by Dave Shearer and family for several years and have been thoroughly satisfied with them. Very honest and reliable. They are not perfect, but nobody is. We have been thru several unreliable outfits in 11 years. Other than a cumbersome appfolio statement, Shearer property management is the best that we've had. No regrets. Review from Google
May 2017: From my first contact (as a new resident to NC) the staff was pleasant, informed and helpful. Any "new resident obstacles" were overcome without issue. They even helped me locate a handyman when I needed one. Upon leaving the property they were extra helpful, negotiating a different exit date from the lease. Also secured the loading dock to move out over a holiday weekend. I truly feel they had the owners best interest AND mine at the same time! Tough balancing act. This place is a great apartment option. They were both very helpful & professional when informing about the application process. People usually seem to stay here awhile & it is not like the surrounding apartment complexes filled with loud students. can't beat the area right across from the Boardwalk.
