Jul 2019: I am very happy with my experience at stoneridge apartments. the rooms are spacious and the rent is very reasonable. The management staff is extremely helpful and respond quickly to any issues. I did face an issue of roaches but eventually that problem was also resolved.

Jun 2019: The units are rundown, dirty, and absolutely roach infested. My A/C unit has broken an upwards of 5 times in the month of June with no solution in sight. Management is inept and combative and will blame you for the issues. I did not even have toilets in my apartment for the first two days. Maintenance is kind and tries their best, but clearly the issue with Stoneridge lies with the higher-ups. This is also my second review I’ve had to post, as they deleted my first one. May 2019: I have been living here for almost a year now. I live in a 4/4 apt. The rooms are very spacious and have attached bathrooms. The rent is super cheap - I am paying 330 rent and 50 for utilities which is ideal for students. Maintenance is really good - If you request it they'll usually come and fix the issue within a day. The only problem with this apartment is COCKROACHES. The kitchen is infested with roaches. They even come to my room. Sometimes I find them on my bed and study table even if I don't leave any food items in my room. I always find cockroaches in the oven, microwave, dishwasher, even in the refrigerator some times. We cannot keep any food items in the kitchen. We have to wash the utensils each and every time we use it to cook otherwise the cockroaches will feed on them. Washing utensils multiple times a day is so inconvenient. Some times the roaches even get in my clothes and backpack Review from Google

There are times I cannot be home to receive LARGE packages maintenance will receive them and hold them for me. The front desk is always ready, helpful and willing to answer any questions I have. As for Holiday the property manger if I could give her 20 stars I would. She was fast and willing to help before, during and after our application process, lease signing process and moving in. She is always around during the week and some weekends which is nice to know. As for maintenance I see them out and about everyday. They are always willing to fix things or help when needed. please if you are looking to rent don't believe all the bad reviews come see for yourself. I have lived here & personally witnessed them do nothing about bullying or dangerous living conditions until someone was badly beaten where they had to be rushed to the hospital or the unit was breaking into by a stalker. And I'm hearing the same stories recently from friends that live here now. Going to the office does nothing to help. They refuse to remove someone that is violating leasing terms. And they refuse to transfer someone lease to another unit that is living in fear of their life. But you can count on rent going up. But our new manager Holiday, has been able to do big improvements making an immediate impact on our facilities. The parking lot paving and the new fencing look amazing. The available upgrades for flooring, cabinets, ceiling fans, etc. are gorgeous. They've hired new pest control and lawn service. It's like living in a park in the middle of town. If it were up to me, Stoneridge would stay a quiet little secret off of Archer and 34th. But Holiday, her office staff, and the amazing maintenance folks deserve your business. Review from Google

Although roaches are a problem sometimes, the management is quick to spray the insecticides and repairs everything efficiently!

Jun 2018: I am currently living at Stoneridge and previously lived in another building here. Both have been infested with roaches. I have had the technicians that work for the previous pest company contracted by the complex tell me that there is no reason my apartment should have roaches based on the cleanliness of my place. I have also been told (by a different technician) that this is one of the WORST places to treat in Gainesville because the units aren't sealed properly so pests just moved from apartment to apartment when treatments are done.
On top of that there is a flea infestation in my entire building and other buildings on the other side of the complex also have fleas. The pest control the management promises you doesn't cover fleas though so I have to pay 200 dollars out of pocket to have my place treated. It seems to be a common trend that the last month’s rent payment goes missing, they charge you extra fees for cleaning, and then they send the account over to collections. Contacting them by email, phone, or even in person is pointless because they will always end the conversation saying they will “look into it†and then never get back to you. While waiting for their response, my account was sent to collections.
Unless you want to live at an apartment that has terrible customer service, over charges you, and then blames you for their own poor record keeping, I highly recommend renting somewhere else. Review from GoogleDec 2017: Stoneridge is very disorganized with their record keeping, and after I moved out they continually thought I didn't pay the last month's rent even after I emailed them a scan of the check from my online banking. They also withheld my entire deposit and asked for additional payment for "cleaning fees" (I steam cleaned the carpets and left them cleaner than when I moved in) and various utility fees. I was charged for utilities for a full month in which I DID NOT LIVE in the apartment and another tenant had already moved in and lived there. Each time I tried to email them and get my disputes looked into, they dragged their feet and failed to respond. Finally, over a month after I moved out, they said they would "look into it and get back to me within a few days."

Sep 2017: They treated us like a bunch of money hungry thieves. They will seem fine at first when you first move in, and the apartments are spacious, I'll give them that much. It's once you've already been there a while that things begin to take a turn. At one point my AC was broken and I put in a total of 3 work orders and called several times because in a month and a half no one came. Then when I moved out, months later, they charged me around $1000 in "damages" that never even occurred and refused to speak to me about it and sent it straight to a debt collection agency so I can't fight back. It took us almost a year to get the A.C. fixed permanently. They kept making temporary fixes causing a lot of problem for us during the Summer. Additionally, the pest control that is being done regularly has no effect on the roach infestation. Not only are they one of the most affordable apartment complexes in Gainesville, but their maintenance is great. Anytime I put in a work order, it gets done within a day or two. There are some pros and cons to this place, with way more pros.
When I moved in, the apartment was spotless, however we did have a really bad roach infestation. When we told the front office about this, they sent out a pest control person the very next day to get it taken care of. We still have the occasional roach, but its not that big of a deal since my cat eats them anyway (lol). They responded to the issue promptly and took it very seriously which I'm grateful for.
