Jun 2018: If you want to live close to campus, The Suites is the best place! The manager Kayla is super sweet, always avaliable to talk to you and is always willing to help you. The apartments are really nice and the rooms are really huge! The CA's are all super sweet and are very helpful. Everyone is super close and you will meet alot of new people. Literally the best student living! Review from Google
May 2018: Lived here for 2 years with no problems. By far the nicest apartment in Lubbock, so you get what you pay for. Review from Google
May 2018: Save yourself the stress and don’t live here. Management doesn’t care about the students living here. They don’t take you seriously if you ever have a request. What you are told when you sign the lease is not enforced unless it benefits them. They only tell you what you want to hear when you sign the lease after that your phone calls are irrelevant to them. Also over priced for what you get. Way better options out there. Review from Google
Apr 2018: It's a nice place, and you will have to pay for it. But the biggest issue I have had with this complex is their lack of communication. I have walked into my apartment to find my dogs hiding from a maintenance man cutting holes in my wall. No prior information and the man didn't even greet me or explain what he was doing until I asked, like I was the one out of place. There have also been hazards left undealt with for several days, such as broken glass shattered throughout the elevator. So accept that they don't see you as a living tenant, but as a rent check occupying their space and getting in their way. Do that and you will enjoy it here. Review from Google
Apr 2018: I love how spacious the apartment is, it makes it feel like a house instead of an apartment. Another thing I enjoy is how helpful the people in the office are. Review from Google
Apr 2018: Beware!!! I moved out last August once my leased expired. I paid the ridiculous expensive rent on time (please now that there are far way better deals for housing elsewhere in town AND FURNISHED, there's no reason to pay this nonsense high rent for this place) but since I was coming out town, the suites fooled me thinking I was getting a good deal...and now the suites are still billing me for utilities. They have sent this bill to collections. This place sucks...all the negative stuff from the others here are true; extremely rude staff...I will save my money and go somewhere else. Review from Google
Apr 2018: I have lived here for a year now and I will never resign here. Honestly I wish I could give negative stars. It is ridiculous living somewhere that I pay $800 a month to have the sewage problems and the bug problem on the fourth floor. The cable only works half the time and do not even bother trying to make a maintenance request. They won't look at unless they know you're a girl that lives alone, but if you're a parent just know the lovely mid-semester "inspections" which they give one knock and use the master key to get in. Also to my parents good luck visiting the only guest parking is on the fourth floor and has 10-20 spots and YES YOU WILL GET TOWED! Please save yourself go somewhere else. Review from Google
Feb 2018: Every locale has its own unique triumphs and tragedies, and The Suites is no exception. While it is imperfect, when considered overall, it's still pretty great. Rent is pricey, but not outrageous. And here's the thing: when you compare the cost to other nearby properties, that's where The Suites shines. By paying a little more, you receive much more in return. A shorter walk to campus, quieter building with single rooms, coffee bar, larger rooms, safer area, ample parking, dishwasher, washer/dryer, better gym, and nicer pool and jacuzzi… if those matter to you, then spend a little to get a lot. Jan 2018: I am currently a resident at the Suites and I am not thrillled with the treatment here. I moved in August 2017 and submitted a maintenance request for the many issues with my apartment to the front desk and they have yet to fix anything (it’s been five months). I spoke with someone about it and they said they were getting to it and brushed it off. The maintenance I need includes my door which the lock doesn’t work properly which is a safety concern for me and the fact that it is the only white door in the complex (because it’s a replacement door from previous renters who destroyed it and left the place a mess), also one of the sinks does not work and needs to be fixed. Something to note also is that my car was broken into in the parking garage so it is not as safe as they claim. They come around for quarterly checks on the tenants t Review from Google
Jan 2018: Came back from a winter break to find all of my belongings thrown in a pile of the corner of the apartment without any prior notice due to “pipe leakage” that they can’t even prove happened to my apartment. They used scissors to cut the cords to my electronics, dented my furniture, buried my musical instruments under other things and left me without a place to stay. Beware of this complex. Dec 2017: Greatly lacking responsibility! The property is actually very nice, but it is poorly taken care of. Please note that the apartment provides reward points for giving a good review when you initially move in. First of all, we have not had a general manger for a while now and the facility is greatly understaffed. Four stories of apartments and there is only one maintenance worker! don't expect things to get fixed. They won't even even fix the soft spots in the upper hallways where it feels like the floors are starting to cave in. When I moved in, my unit was filthy. Pee stains all over the carpet, appliances were in poor shape, and the apartment had a disgusting smell that has yet to go away. With this said, there are constant puddles of pee in the elevators and hallways. Yes, this is the fault of residents not taking proper care to clean up afte Review from Google
Dec 2017: Horrible place. When first moved in our air conditioner didn’t work for over 2 weeks. Then guys above flooded apartment and it’s been over a month for our repairs to be fixed. Have contact management multiple times and they don’t care to do anything about it, As well as the grills down stairs never work nor does the printer work. It constantly smells like dog pee and smoke in the hallways. The WiFi in the apartments are aweful, you can never get ahold of AT&T to fix it, plus guest parking is a joke, don’t plan on anyone to visit you they will get towed, there is hardly any parking for guest. DO NOT LIVE HERE! Review from Google
Nov 2017: It's alright the apartment are alright but the amenities are never really cleaned asked them time and time again if they cleaned the gym they don't because I left something in one spot one day to see if anyone would move it and nobody did. I just find it disgusting that they don't wipe the place down and it definitely shows. Review from Google
Jul 2016: I have really enjoyed living here the past two years. Its a very quiet community with great staff and maintenance employees. I have recommended the suites to many people as it is the only place I would consider living in during my college years. Although the building can get messy as to college students throwing trash everywhere but that happens everywhere. The pool is nice and secluded it never gets too loud. I really have enjoyed my stay here so far. Review from 7/31/16 on Apartment Ratings
Jun 2016: I like living here. Upstairs neighbor is way too noisy (drops stuff and makes my room shake). Other than that, I like. Maintenance is good, amenities are good, and the staff are helpful. Even most of the other residents are great. New carpets just installed. Review from 6/3/16 on Google
May 2016: I have lived here for a year now and would not recommend anyone else to live here. My apartment has got broken once and my car twice now while it has been in the garage. The suites say that they are not responsible for any property damage or anything stolen, even when my key to get in was in my car, and basically had to give them money for my car getting broken into. I signed my lease for next year expecting to bring my dog with me and after signing my lease they told me that animals were not allowed next year and that i could not get out of my lease. My mother parked here for an hour while helping me unpack and unload my car and her car got towed, and all of this while I pay over $1000 each month to live here. Review from 5/28/16 on Google
May 2016: The management is very friendly and will get back to you in a very timely manor if you need something. The location to campus and restaurants is awesome! Maintenance gets done in a reasonable amount of time unlike some other places I have lived. And the staff in the office is one of the most friendly and helpful staff I've ever had at an apartment complex. If they don't know the answer to something they will find out and get back with you as soon as they can. Review from 5/21/16 on Google
May 2014: Got a pretty good deal on 3 BR/ 2.5 bath... the apartment grounds feel safe .. they have a nice parking garage. However the cameras in their parking garage DO NOT work and do not record anything. We had a car vandalized this is how we found this out. All in all they are good at fixing and resolving issues. Security officers on site are good at enforcing noise control. Parking is great, noise level is great but walls are thin our neighbors complained a lot, internet cable was included. Staff was friendly (2010-2012 staff). I recommend this apt from when I lived there but I hear the new management is bad. Anonymous review from 5/11/2014 on Apartment Ratings
Apr 2014: Are you a young professional, family man, grad student, med student, Law student, or Undergrad who likes to study or sleep at night? don't live here. I have lived in this complex for the past two years, from when McDougal ran it to now. I will admit things weren't the best under McDougal but they sure aren't any better now. The new method of management is all talk, no action and no respect. There is no respect from your neighbors and the management has no respect for those of us trying to make this place a better place to live. The only part of this complex I like in the interior of my own apartment. It's is a great design with great features, but the glamor ends as soon as I step outside my front door. Jul 2013: Since this is the first apartment I've ever lived in, I was kind of nervous about it being too loud and crazy. I chose to live here because my cousin recommended it and I was new to the area. In the 7 months I've been here though, I have heard my neighbors only one time. It is much quieter than all of my friends apartments, and the rooms are much bigger and of nicer quality. Maintenance and office workers are nice and try to help in any way that they can. I love that we have AT&T here instead of sudden link, and it's included in the rent. It's a great location and couldn't imagine living anywhere else in Lubbock. Jul 2013: My cousin lives in these apartments and they are so nice. The people in the front office are very helpful and always willing to assist him with whatever he ask. I love that there is wood floor in his kitchen and bathroom. The granite counter tops give his place an upscale look for student living. Def going to stay here when I leave the dorms.
