May 2017: Not going to bother adding on, but all the reviews hit on all the key points and then if the owner decides to take the time to actually respond to your comment, they will tell you to contact their "community manager XXXX." They know we are students and therefore are limited to leasing options and they take advantage of that fact.

Apr 2017: Now that I am far removed from any sort of retribution, let me tell you a bit about my experience at Westmar Lofts so you can make an informed decision. I will not tell you what to choose, just the cold, hard facts.
There are some pros to Westmar Lofts such as there are free shuttles to GSU, GaTech, and other local venues in Atlanta, rent is relatively cheap compared to other options in the Atlanta area, and the pool/recreational area can be a refreshing option if you need to cool off after a long day or just want to get out of the room.

Apr 2017: West Mar is a horrible place to live. Garbage litters the grounds and is not cleaned up. The fire alarms frequently go off in the middle of the night. They do not enforce the noise policy, and music is playing at all hours of the night. Cockroaches are regularly crawling around the apartments and through the hallways. The trash chutes are located inside the building, making the all the hallways literally smell like trash.
You could not pay me to live here again.

Mar 2017: To be honest, you shouldn't lease here because everything advertised on the website is totally marketing. The rooms are unpainted, the pipes are visible and you can hear others flushing their toilettes. They force you to renew before your lease is up or raise your rent. The shuttle is a mess and makes people late to class. I know what am talking about because I have being here for a year now. The washing machine is filled with dirty plates by previous occupants.

Buses are never on time, if you get a "special" and they supposed to give you a gift card, expect them to delay giving it to you, or try not to give it to you at all. There is trash everywhere, they never keep it clean, and then will threaten to fine you for not keeping the hallways clean.

May 2016: Ive lived here since 2014.The worst place to live at. RUN! The leasing office is by far the most unprofessional I've experienced so far. good luck paying rent, I am trying to pay May 6th while I am in Florida online and surprise surprise, they only want a money order! NOW HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THAT WHEN IM OUT OF STATE?????? The response I got from an employee was "sorry for the inconvenience" Really? So I then asked if I was going to get evicted and she then responded it would be avoided unless I come to the office IN PERSON and drop off a money order. I am a graduating senior who took a quick getaway to Florida before I graduate and I'm trying to pay my rent online what's the issue?

May 2016: I've really enjoyed living at WestMar this year. The staff is amazing and the residents are pretty great as well. From the events to just saying hello in the hallway, I will always remember my stay at WestMar.

Mar 2016: WestMar management I hope your reading this... Your business sucks. This has been the biggest waste of money for me to live and and spend my time. It is amazing at how many health codes that are being violated here and I don't see how y'all are still legally in business. I honestly hope to shut this piece of crap down for good before my lease is up or atleast hope y'all get fined like crazy. Btw, I wish law enforcement would get involved since it is clearly obvious by the constant SMELL of weed lurking through all the hallways that y'all allow drugs in the building.

However, since I've been here over a year now I've seen multiple management and employment turnovers as well as lack of communication. Not to mention last semester, my roommates and I had a rodent issue. Things are getting better here but I think the company needs to strive for efficiency and effectiveness.

Review from 12/3/15 on GoogleNov 2015: Poor services and there's trash all over the place. 2nd floor smells like trash 24/7. Paying rent is a long process when official mess up. When I first got the keys to my room, I get there to see the place not even furnished. Took 2 weeks to get my couches and the blinds are still messed up from the previous renter. Shower was clogged and had to hire me own plumber to fix it, since Westmar takes forever to reply. Also contract are pretty much always 12 months or 11 months. Also when you realizing what a terrible place it is to live, you are told that you have to pay the remainder month in full. In my case 7 more months, which is $7245 if I want to move out. Please don't waste your money on this place, it's not worth it at all.
