Jan 2018: I moved to Monroe Place in 2012 and since then I have enjoyed living here and being part of this community. The apartments are great and have been recently upgraded and the location could not be more convenient. We are right between Mid-town and Buckhead which are two of the best areas in Atlanta plus we are within walking distance from Piedmont Park.
The management at Monroe Place and all staff from maintenance to the leasing office are fantastic people, They are friendly, professional and most importantly they do a good job. They really make you feel welcome. Review from Google
Jan 2018: I am a current resident, and this is by far the worst apartment I have ever lived in. The access and location is fine, but everything else is just completely disastrous. There is no communication when something goes wrong in or around your unit; they will say they completed things when they clearly did no even attempt to; there is no manager or anything to appeal to; the maintenance crews clearly do not care.
I think there was a lot of turnover in the middle of last year, and I tried to give them all the benefit of the doubt, but nothing has changed and it is clear they do not care about any of the issued residents have. This is by far the most incompetent workforce to ever manage an apartment.
I once just sent them a note letting them know my bike had been stolen; never even got so much as a response back.

Sep 2017: I called Monroe Place inquiring about a studio apartment and greeted by such a friendly young lady named Natasha. Natasha answered all my questions, didn't make me feel rushed and scheduled an appointment based on my availability. I love a place a business that provides great service so decided to visit the apartment based my telephone experience.
Natasha followed up with when I missed my apartment due to being ill and rescheduled. When I met the leasing manager in person, she had a big smile, tones of energy and a sweet personality. She introduced me to the staff, shared rates, floor plans and gave me a tour of the complex. Everyone in the office was super friendly, especially Louisa. I decided to submit my application that day.

Sep 2017: I am a new resident here and I love it. This is really a great property in a great location. What's even better is leasing agent Luisa Garcia! She is AMAZING-hands down the best leasing agent I've ever come across. She demonstrates a great level of professionalism but also concern. Your concerns and issues are HER concerns and issues as well. And because of that she makes you feel right at home and assures that everything works in your favor. So with that being said come live here and make sure to lease with Luisa Garcia! She is truly the best (she should be the property manager). They are affordable for being minutes away from Midtown and Piedmont Park, pet friendly, have a nice pool/grounds and events, and the staff was much nicer than some of the other complexes we looked at. However, there were a few things that happened while we lived there that makes this place a no-for-the-love-of-god don't live there for me and anyone who asks me about it: 1) Guest bathroom smelled like dead fish. It would happen a few times a week.

May 2017: I have lived here for 17 yrs. The first 4/5 yrs were great! Afterwards, the staff in the office rotated in and out so fast you never knew anyone and it was very disjointed?..Things have greatly improved over the last few years. My only concern at this time is the number of kids using the parking lot as a playground.

May 2017: I enjoy it. Staff is nice and helpful. I also like the location. Although I do not really communicate with the other residents, they all seem friendly and many have cute dogs which makes the neighborhood that much more enjoyable.

Feb 2017: The staff are wonderful. The crime is alarming. Rent is higher than the value given comparable apartments in better areas are similar or less and the amount of crime. Staff are working to address security issues, and I'm hoping rent will not increase.
Review from 2/28/17 on Apartment RatingsFeb 2017: I have not lived here very long but I can already say that I do not recommend this place due to the lack of the office's and maintenance staff's ability to get their act together. The list of things they've screwed up since I've moved in is remarkably long. This included maintenance LEAVING MY BACK DOOR OPEN while I was at work, bait and switching me about lease terms, and staff giving straight up incorrect information without bothering to confirm it's accuracy and with little regard to its consequences. But perhaps one of the biggest reasons I say to avoid this place is because the construction is SO POOR. I can hear every single step my upstairs neighbors make.

We received brand new beautiful granite countertops and all new stainless steel appliances with new, oversized sinks in both the kitchen and bathroom. We also received upgrades to the exterior sconce on the porch and brand new 2" wooden blinds inside. Additionally, we received a new digital, user-friendly thermostat. The look and feel of this place is completely different and WE LOVE IT! Thanks to the staff and maintenance workers for making this a smooth transition in a timely fashion!!

I've lived here for several years, and thanks to the turnaround that Monroe Place has experienced in the last few months, I'll be here for another. The new manager at the leasing office, Kathleen, has gone above and beyond with her team to rectify the cons of the past -- the leasing office staff are friendly and prompt, maintenance orders are carried out rapidly (and the maintenance guys are great), she's completely professional when it comes to discussing rent or renting at other locations, and they've made significant improvements to the quality of the property.
