Jan 2018: Hello friends I am a current tenant. The staff that works at Cypress Pointe only cares about averting blame. Details aside, with years of renting experience, I highly recommend living ANYWHERE else. These folks are beyond incompetent, they are an insult to professionalism. Review from Google
Nov 2017: Current resident at Cypress Pointe and it’s been pretty good! The front desk has always been very cheerful and helpful, and they did a great job moving me in last minute. However, there are some problems with living here.
The rooms are decently sized, kitchen appliances work, washer and dryer as well (in the apartment!), and also has a dishwasher too. Small but spacious living room, and like I said, the bedrooms are a great size!
Some problems here would include:
1. Roaches. It isn’t too bad, and some residents don’t have them, so it might just be my fault.
2. Maintenance. We had a leak in our roof that caused water damage and reported it numerous times to Cypress Pointe, and said they’d get on it. They did, but it took months to do, and that’s just when I lived here, my roommate who spent a year already here said it was an is Review from Google
Oct 2017: Out of the 30 phone calls I've tried to contact the office, ZERO are ever answered. Seriously. And if you walk up to the office itself, 4/5 times they're on a "break". Even physical interaction barely gets anything done. I'm not sure what's going on with the change in management but the staff... It feels like there is no staff. If you need anything fixed- expect to wait at least a month. They re-paved the parking lot and moved MY car to the opposite side of the complex without any type of prior notice, seriously?!! I had to go to THEM and ask where MY car was. An email, notice on my door... Would have sufficed. But don't take my car without telling me. We put in our notice to vacate yesterday. Jul 2017: My son was in need of a Fall lease only and they approved him quickly in late Spring. I tried and tried to call them, left message after message to with no success. We still had no lease with a few days before move in. Then the day before, they informed my son that his unit wasn't going to be available (after hooking up the utilities).
Needless to say, his current apartment complex worked with us and he signed another lease with him.

Jun 2017: I'd give this place a 5 - but my neighbors are rude. I feel the racial tension every time I walk by. The residents here refuse to even give me eye contact. When I say hi I am ignored. They look down and walk away. I've even heard one of my other neighbors mumble racial slurs as the other white girls laughed at me. My place is amazing, but if the people were a bit less racist and more friendlier - I'd have a better experience. Maybe that's just Wilmington? I've never felt less welcomed by other residents in my entire life.

Feb 2017: The staff is amazing here. XXXX and XXXX especially always look out for us here. I have lived in multiple apartment complexes and never felt like the people care as much as they do here. And maintenance is fast. They really look out here!

Feb 2017: RATS!!!! This place has buildings infested with rats. Absolutely no kidding. They were in the walls and affected all tenants in each unit and nothing was done to eliminate the problem. A dead rat has remained behind the sink for 3 days, because they don't want to remove it! Health hazard!!
The ownership has changed and all of the staff quit. don't move to Cypress Pointe!
Oct 2016: Minor to moderate Cockroach problem. I see about 3-5 every week. That's too much for me. I've lived in other places that weren't so spacious and in not so great neighborhoods, but never had a cockroach problem like this before. I do live on the ground level and I keep my place clean. I vacuum twice a day these days and I still see cockroaches appearing in my living room, washroom, kitchen, and several times in my bedroom. I never leave food outside either and I've had problems getting the Pest Control to spray down my place. They have repeatedly forgotten to come to my place on several occasions when I would specifically request them through the office staff.

Aug 2015: What to say about cypress pointe... I'm pleasantly surprised by them. I've lived with them for 2 years while attending undergrad at UNCW. The office staff did not always have the answers to your questions but were nice and attempted to help to the best of their ability. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the apartment complex, the pool was nice. Maintenance got there without much time lapsing (thank you!). So long as you're a good resident you will have no issues. My roommate occasionally forgot to pay rent on time and they always reminded us without being rude. I greatly enjoyed the last two years with this apartment and highly recommend them!
