Jan 2018: Cons: High electricity bills, no parking, trash always everywhere, will charge you without warning, office won't uphold the incentives they offer you unless you remind them, walls so paper thin I can hear all my roommates and neighbors have sex and then argue with their girlfriends, construction is mediocre at best, most people there are party animals, pretty overpriced for what you get. Pros: nice clubhouse and looks nice Good if you are still relying on your parents for cash. Otherwise you'll notice a lot of small things that make you say, "why am I paying this much?". Jan 2018: Don’t live here. I convinced my boyfriend to move here and it was my mistake. They gave him empty promises, the property is TRASHED all the time, there is (like everyone else said) no parking which forced him to buy a $30/month parking space. Every time you go to the office with issues they just shrug their shoulders and say “we don’t have any control over that” they show no customer service at all or any sympathy for the fact that THEY messed up. They noticed their air conditioning wasn’t working on the bottom floor of their unit and called 3 times because it was still running and not cooling down. Later on a large electricity bill was handed out and we found out that the heat was coming from upstairs where the dryer wasn’t connected properly causing all of that hot air to go into the apartment. Do you think the management offer Review from Google
Dec 2017: Staff is so unprofessional. Scott won’t return calls. Don’t live here. I’ve lived at three different USF apartments this isn’t worth it. Walls made out of cardboard. I heard people outside and thought my window was open and I went to close it, it was already closed. Even the easiest things are difficult for them. They can’t even get a working gate. Got charged a 100 dollar fee for trash but never was given a warning or anything. If it sounds to good to be true, that usually means it is. At almost $800 dollar a month it’s a joke. Sep 2017: If you have NO friends, this is a perfect place for you! Specifically moved out of IQ due to their lack of visitor parking. The first question I asked before signing to The Retreat was if there was going to be visitor parking and they told us there would be 2 per resident. How is it that the nicest student apartment complex around USF has 8 visitor in total???? For the amount we are paying it's a rip off because even at night it's almost impossible to find a parking spot as a resident!? You also have to put your trash in your car (which is disgusting) in order to drive to the single dumpster across the property because honestly who has the time to walk it there. Additionally, the property manager told us that The Retreat was a "green" community yet I haven't seen anything designated to recycling? I give it 1 star for the granite counter tops Review from Google
