Hi, Loading...

Apr 2018: If you are reading this and are about to be a resident at apartment 3715- 201-B, attempt to sublease as soon as possible. This apartment complex is atrocious and has no regard for proper living conditions. The only decent workers were Kim and the maintenance workers. I do not blame the maintenance workers for the negligence of the complex; I blame the management for failing to provide them with the means necessary to get work properly done. I have been living here for the Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 semester and am sadly stuck here for the 2018 Summer semesters as well. I wouldn't be here any longer or pay my rents if it didn't hurt my credit. I moved into this apartment excited because it was going to be my first apartment and now I'm excited to go back home. IF I COULD GIVE THIS COMPLEX A NEGATIVE RATING I WOULD IN A HEARTBEAT! Let me list the Review from Google
Apr 2018: As a previous resident, my favorite parts of the Ivy were the outdoor movie theatre and the pool. I was matched with awesome roommates in a 4x4! I enjoyed my spacious bathroom as well. If you're looking for a cheap rate and wanting to live in luxury, the Ivy is the place to be! I've met some great people here and I would say I've developed a friendship with the staff as well. Great community! Review from Google
Apr 2018: The new management company has made a lot of changes, and they are great. I have lived here for 2 years, and going into my 3rd. Great value for the quality.
Feb 2018: For student housing I am very pleased with this complex. My apartment was very cleaned when I moved in and everything was how I expected it to be. The community is well kept in all areas. My maintenance requests get completed with in the 24-48 hours window they are alloted and are done right! The amenities they provide are always up to par and are kept exaclty how shown on the tour. Above all else the staff is some of the nicest people I have ever met! They try to get to know you on a personal level while providing you with the best service. My overall experience has been wonderful I have already renewed and plan on living here all through college. I highly recommend The Ivy to any college student in need of housing !! Review from Google
Feb 2018: I do not recommend anyone live at the Ivy. Staff has limited knowledge on anything that happens in the complex. Every month there is an "inspection" invading privacy and moving your personal belongs. With renovations continuing through 2018, they do not keep a schedule, notify you, contractors enter without warning moving your stuff outside all day to "improve" the apartment. If you value privacy, timeliness or decency from people do not move here. Also, even if your apartment is done with renovations, you will listen to banging, scraping and yelling contractors around you. There is no sound proofing in this complex. If you like constantly being interrupted, confused and rude staff, and loud noises this is the apartment for you. Review from Google
Feb 2018: It is amazing! The rooms are so aesthetically pleasing, the staff are so nice, the outside is beautiful, it doesn't matter living in an apartment with a couple other people when you're paying only about $550/month, and really, complimentary pest control. Review from Google
Jan 2018: They lose packages, they remove property without your consent, they are constantly going into apartments with vague and inappropriate notices. The price may be something that catches your eye but the hassle of living here is not worth the money saved. Review from Google
Dec 2017: I have been living here since August 2015 and it's been pleasurable. The staff is nice and upbeat and usually any queries or concerns I have are address in a timely manner. The maintenance crew is always up and about working to improve the quality of living. Honestly, for price you get a safe, and sound environment; not to mention awesome amenities like the pool and the gym ! I totally recommend it. Review from Google

Dec 2017: I honestly think the only way this place could be worse is if Irma had blown it way. They attempted to make me pay more than my lease stated before I even moved in. They then gave me a unit infested with fleas, and yes, I have an "upgraded" unit. It took a month to finally get rid of them and a lot of borax. All that Jolena could say was "I know, that really sucks, we're trying to figure it out but our pest control people are based out of Orlando." Why their pest control people are from Orlando is unknown but that explains why roaches and fleas are a common theme in these reviews. They have so far messed up my best friend/roommate's rent 3 times and forced her to pay a late fee each time! The staff has no idea what they are doing. They will give you the run around and attempt to turn their mistakes into your own. They will give you electric o Review from Google
Oct 2017: Going on the third night with NO HOT WATER!! The office is ridiculous and will try to give you the run around on any problems you have. For starters when we moved in we got a bunch of stuff taken by maintenance and still haven't gotten it back after sending numerous emails and office visits, I finally just gave up. Maintenance is a joke. They hooked up our washing machine wrong and it caused half of the apartment to flood with 2 inches of water and now the baseboards are coming off of the walls. The microwave was completely broken for the first month and a half of living here and after a handful of work orders and phone calls down to the office we finally got it fixed. Moral of the story don't expect anything from this place. Their managers and office secretaries are rude and they don't care about you or their apartment complex. They may be on Review from Google
Sep 2017: For starters do not be deceived by the beautiful pictures you see posted on their website. Yes the front appearance of this complex is beautiful, until you get an old vacant unit like the one I have been given. Let's start with the staff, when you call and speak to someone over the phone the women who answer always have a rude tone in their voice, but of course when you're in person that is not what you get. Unfortunately I moved in during the time frame Hurricane Irma was set to hit Tampa, and instead I decided to hold off moving in all my things and stay up north until after the storm. On Friday September 8th I picked up my keys, given a "welcome package" and was told by front desk to complete the check list. My objective was to leave asap before the storm came but I was eager to see my apartment so I decided to check it out before I head to Review from Google
Jun 2017: I've called over 5 times for them to fix my washing machine, every time they "claimed" to fix it but still the same issue. And now the dryer is fucked as well because it's staining my clothes. This isn't the only issue I've had with the apartment complex not actually fixing problems in the apartment. Multiple times my AC has gone out for both heating and cooling, my garbage disposal has been leaking several times and now I just stick a bucket underneath and empty it so often. I don't know if it's just my apartment or what but this is definitely not cool and I'm tired of calling. Review from 6/4/17 on Google
May 2017: Since the new management things have gotten a lot better. Maintenance comes within a couple days of putting in a request. The leasing office is super professional and they all try to remember your name. I had a minor bug problem but my roommates moved in early so our apartment wasn't cleaned by the office. The only thing that I have a problem with is that the fridge is too small for four people and it's to old that one of the attachments on the door keeps breaking off. Other than that, it's well priced and not super far from campus. Review from 5/14/17 on Google
May 2017: This place is the worst. I'm a current resident here and I've woken up from nearby construction noises approximately everyday since the new year. SUPER thin walls, you can basically hear all your neighbors loud and clear as if a room away. Key cards to get into your apartment got me and my roommates locked out a bunch of times. I had a very serious bug problem for about 6 months before maintenance decided to do anything about all my work requests. At first they recommended a treatment that I would have to pay for out of pocket. Review from 5/3/17 on Google
Apr 2017: I've been here since last August and have had a fine time here. Initially, there were some issues with my AC, but after a few tries to fix it, management offered to replace it entirely which was really great. Since then, I haven't had a single problem. The staff has always been friendly and professional with me. My visitors and I never have trouble finding parking, maintenance requests are always tended to quickly and with friendly people. There are several social events and the place looks pretty good- especially the pool area. Review from 4/20/17 on Google
Apr 2017: So originally I wrote a post regarding the pros and cons of the Ivy. I am now moving out after living there for a year. The staff is unreliable and horrible at communicating information, manager don't care and Ct like you're a child because they judge everyone as being a "college student". Well moved out early March to avoid paying April rent, however, staff told us we would not have to pay for April because the person was set to move on April 1st! Now they are telling us she may not move in and we have to pay &950 on top of another $1200 for our new home! Review from 4/6/17 on Google
Mar 2017: The administration of this apartment is weak and unreliable. The connivance of Ivy about all the improper behaviors encouraged the growth of a kind of atmosphere: people here can do whatever they want even through those behaviors will hurt others, all their cost is an email or some sort of warning. A noisy issue annoyed me and I keep complaining for half year, until right now the situation is not even getting better. This is the second year I lived here, at last summer the Ivy make a "upgrade change" for the apartment upstairs (which need to pay them more). Review from 3/4/17 on Google
Dec 2016: Okay people give this place a bad rap for nothing. Yes there are problems but the place is EXTREMELY affordable and is super close to campus, which is super rare. The apartments are perfectly okay, aside from the occasional pest problem which gets taken care of. The pool/office area is gorgeous, the place looks like a resort. There have been small problems with entrance gates and such, but it's literally the cheapest place around that's just what you get. The way I would best describe the negatives of this place, is minor inconveniences. On the other hand, there are plenty of positives. If you're on a budget, this is no doubt the best bet. Fair warning, the actual apartments do not look like the model. Review from 12/14/16 on Google
Dec 2016: Office staff is very unprofessional. Takes weeks to get maintenance issues done. They give you a date, then don't show up. My front door was broken for a month and would not lock, all I kept getting was excuses and attitude. I'd fire all of them, no doubt. Do not move here, they will be nice and courteous until you sign those papers. Water is leaking from my roof now for three weeks straight, they said they would mark it as urgent. Here we are, with no maintenance whatsover. I absolutely hate this place. And I , never leave reviews on anything. Review from 12/9/16 on Google
Nov 2016: Lived there for 4 years and as the years progressed, management/maintenance times seemed to get worse and worse, before bottoming-out with new management from August 2015-July 2016. The first few years there were A/C, dishwasher, and stove issues, but all of them seemed to get resolved in a relatively short amount of time with some longer resolutions here and there. Finally, in the last year, the washing machine broke and it took them around 2 months to fix it, promising that it just needed a part and the part would be there in a week each time we would call and ask for an update. Review from 11/11/16 on Google
Aug 2016: Please don't choose IVY for living You will be charged for nothing The managment can't solve any problems Assel
May 2016: Is it still that bad since the renovation
Dec 2015: I've lived here for three years and I do not have nearly as many complaints as these people under me. The management is fine, the staff is helpful, and the community has gotten sooo much better over the past year. Yes, there has been some sketchy events that have taken place here in the past but I can say the same for apartments down 42nd street as well. USF area is a tough area all together. The Pointe is near USF, has great, low prices compared to other apartments near USF, and everything is included. I'm grateful. Review from 12/8/15 on Google
Dec 2015: zero starS FOR THIS CRAP!!! In June I renewed for one year, they promised a $500 gift card by mid September. It is now mid November and no gift card, they keep lying about when I will get it. All management does is say "I'm sorry it is coming soon". They sent an email saying they shipped it and would receive within 5-10 business days now 30 days ago. Then they told me it'll be shipped in a "second batch." Review from 12/2/15 on Google
Nov 2015: Currently going on my second year here at the Pointe and lets say it sucks like everyone said it would suck. I originally moved in because it was cheap and affordable and kind of close to campus. But I have had major problems since I moved in. 1. Moving in day! I waited three hours for my room to be ready and when I got there it was INFESTED with German roaches and it was disgusting. Review from 11/22/15 on Google
