Jan 2018: My family and I have lived here for 5 months now and we have had a great experience thus far. Any issues we have experienced have been remedied in a timely manner. The complex is very clean and well kept. It’s a gated community, which provides us with a safe and secure environment. Jan 2018: We have lived at Lodge for almost 6 months. It's been a very pleasant experience. We are very happy about the service to our apt. The response to our requests are very fast. Repairs are usually done in the next day. So far, they've cleaned our balcony, replaced our microwave and washer, fixed the small issues with pipes and insects. The community is neat, clean and safe all the time. The leisure and entertainment areas are very well maintained. We enjoy walking along the lake, feeding the birds and using the BBQ and swimming pool very much. Staff here are super nice and helpful too. People here also get to know their neighbors at monthly Lodge event. It's a very lovely place to stay. Review from Google
Jun 2017: I've had great experience with the service, amenities, and facility here since day one. I have lived in this area for years, and I am glad I moved to this complex. The maintenance and everyone in the leasing office are really nice and responsive. Aside from moving into a clean and beautiful apartment, they have great amenities and events. The pool and pond areas (great place to run) are beautiful. They also have a nice gym, pool table, foosball table, grill area near the pool with a ceiling (in case it rains), etc.

May 2017: My husband and I have lived at our apartment now for over a year. We love the location as it being so close to USF and Busch Gardens. As it is situated on McKinley, you do not hear any traffic which is very nice! The pond is our favorite place to walk our dog because we can watch the ducks, turtles, and fish. The office also offers so many amenities such as yoga, movie night, different cuisine nights, and of course the coffee bar! We really do love where we live and it certainly does make a difference :)

It is a gated community however sometimes the gates are not working but the management makes sure it gets fixed ASAP and they always make sure to inform the residents about any issues which might be going on within the community. There are lots of events and fun activities for the residents for instance; spa day, manicure, brunch, breakfast on the go, movie night and so much more.

The grounds are absolutely beautiful and very well-kept- the giant pond in the middle of all of the apartment buildings is more like a nature sanctuary with several species of birds which makes for a lovely walk or jog. The inside floorplan and design is also clean and homey yet modern. The common areas such as the pool, game room, and gym, are also always clean and orderly, and very comfortable.

May 2017: Living at the Lodge has been a perfect experience so far. I moved into one of the townhouses 9 months ago and I never want to leave. First and foremost, my townhouse is absolutely gorgeous and well-maintained, comfortable, perfectly designed, and beautifully/naturally lit which makes it feel open and welcoming. The staff in the front office are responsive, kind, and great problem-solvers. They are on top of everything. The maintenance staff has always responded in under 24 hours for even the most minor fix.

May 2017: I have been living in this apartment for a week and everything is awesome. The maintenance service is so quick and extremely effective. Facilities are super nice and clean. The only problem is that some residents they are a little dirty, and they put trash and cigarettes everywhere, however the Lodge at Lakecrest team are taking it and making a great job. I am so happy about my moving here.

May 2017: I moved in recently and I completely love it! The maintainance is amazing. The apartment we moved into was super clean and ready to go. They have an awesome office crew and they have always got what I needed done right away. The pool, gym and little trail around the lake are very well kept. I'm super happy with The Lodge at Lakecrest and I do not want to leave!

I have been able to reserve the community movie theatre for multiple "watch" parties, participate in group fitness classes, and take advantage of various other community events and activities! In addition, the majority of the staff is really kind and helpful! The other day one of the leasing consultants even printed my football tickets from her personal work computer because the printer in the club house wasn't working!

Aug 2016: Just moved in with my family to 2 bdr 2 bath from NY. Management is pure delight, quick response to any issues. Changed carpet to laminate as per our request (for a monthly fee that was totally worth it). Great amentities: pool, electric grill in club house, pool table, movie theater, gym- what's not to love. They keep grounds well-kept and washed roofs with bleach. Activities for members are fun. Looking forward to great time in Lodge at Lakecrest.
Review from 8/11/16 on Apartment RatingsApr 2016: I came in for a walk through of the 1br / 1br 700+ sq ft. In my opinion these apartments are overpriced for the area/location there in. They are located on the same street as Busch gardens which is right around the corner from the hood area's on Busch.
The apartments are under new management and they should seriously reconsider adjusting the prices for these apartments based on the location.
TOO EXPENSIVE!!!!

Mar 2016: My girlfriend and I moved in together in July of last year. We have had nothing but an overall wonderful experience with the leasing and maintenance staff. Sometimes college students are heard on occasion, but that is expected with its close proximity to USF. Thanks for the hard work for us so far!

Review from 10/20/15 on Apartment RatingsAug 2015: don't do it. They charged us over $1000 in fees when we moved out that made no sense. They're way too expensive in the first place, and then they nail you when you leave.
Our bikes got stolen our first week we were there, and since they're too cheap to have security cameras anywhere but the gates, they were no help and we never recovered our $400 bikes. The gates are always broken so it's not even a gated community. Stay far away unless you plan on living here forever or you don't care about literally throwing money away.

To those currently living here, take a TON of pictures upon move out, clearly documented with the date and time, and if possible have the manager or a maintenance staff member there when you take them. I wish I could say the opposite, but our time with Lodge at Lakecrest and the UDR corporation has ended nothing short of insulting, burdening, and heart breaking. After being charged over $1,000 for a perfectly clean carpet, I feel like I was completely taken advantage of by them and will NEVER live at nor recommend a UDR community ever again.

Not only did they charge me over $2000 dollars for repairs THAT DIDNT EXIST, they continued to charge extra money on service fees long after I moved out! The rent increases by about $300 a year and renewing your contract is one of the worst decisions ever!
The rent is overpriced, the quality of living isn't that great, and the customer service is atrocious. Very often the representatives at the office will mess up your forms and make you pay extra charges for things you did not do.

Charged for carpet replacement due to normal traffic stains, and charged a general cleaning fee upon move out, both of which are illegal. When called billing department, you reach a rude lady in Colorado who has never even seen the apartment complex. No one ever picks up when you call. Is a trap for unsuspecting USF college students. Walls are paper thin and bedrooms are laid out back-to-back in the units, so you can hear EVERYTHING through the walls. Avoid this place and save yourself money and a headache.

The apartments were really clean and modern. It is not student living so you need your own furniture. Gym was decent with a full rack of free weights. Running around the pond in the morning was nice. They have a fire pit and free hot chocolate which was nice during winter, but I wish they had a hot tub instead.
