Jan 2019: I lived here from May to October and absolutely loved it. The staff is always happy and willing to help with whatever you need. I had some trouble with logistics while moving (I was already living across the state in Newland, NC), and Dale was a huge help in that very stressful situation. I recommend this place to everyone I know that is moving to Wilmington or staying there. It is a great price and a great location. Unfortunately for me, tons of new activities were scheduled just after I left. I loved my time at City Block, and I know you will too! Review from GoogleJun 2018: A great place to live! Apr 2018: I don't live here, but helped a family member move in on a recent Sunday afternoon. The employee who helped coordinate everything (I believe her name was Cynthia) was incredibly helpful and personable. She made an extremely good impression , and was very constructive with her actions and suggestions (re: elevators, truck placement, etc.). If her kindness and helpfulness is any indication of the experience my family member will have as a tenant here, it will be fantastic! I think the apartments are very quiet I’m on the fourth floor and have a beautiful view. We have gated parking so whatever there’s fireworks or activities downtown it’s great because we don’t have to worry about a place to park. Dec 2017: Where do I start...This establishment is Far from what I expected or imagined. The management is friendly but unwilling to accommodate to residents needs. Very few people here will even take the time of day to say hello to you. It is not a warm or inviting environment to walk into. Nothing comes with the expensive price except internet that’s won’t work and a gym with three pieces of equipment in it. The noise is awful, everyone can hear everything but people will still complain to try to get others in trouble. 0/10 would not live here again next year. :( Review from Google

I have to admit I love the views and the convenience, however I moved in about 6-7 months ago and since then we've been very disappointed. Not about the management because they are great, but the structure of the building is absolutely horrible. You can be talking a little loudly and your neighbor WILL hear it. My neighbor is quite loud so we hear everything. The only amenities are a gym, cafe, and a grilling station.

Apr 2017: Great Location right downtown! Kitty corner to Cape Fear CC, walking distance to PPD, Two blocks up from the River Walk! Beautifully renovated with all stainless steel appliances. I lived here for over a year and I miss it constantly.
There really isn't a better value for downtown living.

Review from 3/15/17 on GoogleJan 2017: Everything in the place was cheap, which is why the $500 fridge door replacement was absurd! The carpeting is cheap quality and hard to step on without slippers, the "wooden" floors were just a layer of thick foam covered by a sticker that resembled wood, the shower knob broke twice (leaving the option of scalding or freezing water or applying much force to the handle on and off), the wooden fixture under the plaster bathroom sink was not fitted properly and constantly fell, the door frames had dings and damage before we moved in and no one had even lived there before!
