Sep 2021: I rarely had any issues at first when we moved here but after management and new employees were hired, maintenance and management has gone down hill. Takes forever to get maintenance to resolve issues. When the office doesn't answer the phone, which is most of the time, the emergency maintenance number only allows you to leave a voicemail and they do not return your calls. We constantly have issues with our a/c either going out during the hottest months or it leaks in our bathroom. Walking around wet towels and emptying pots full of water is not fun. I shouldn't be uncomfortable to use my bathroom in my own apartment. I'm still waiting on a part that needs to be replaced on the a/c unit and it has been over a month which is ridiculous. Also the entire complex has a water bug/roach issue. Believe the reviews, don't move here.
Apr 2020: If negative 10 stars were an option - that is what this apartment complex would receive. I have an absolutely obnoxious neighbor that the apartment complex refuses to do anything about. The manager told us she has a "relationship" with them so expect to have your neighbors blast music until 7:30am, party all night, vandalize other apartment doors - my neighbor actually just installed a camera. I assume they're being protected because the manager here is partying with them. Who knows! They suggested I move apartments even though everyone in this building has complained about this trashy neighbor. Expect to have a hole in your ceiling above your shower that spills out moldy water 6 months out of the year. Expect to not have working air conditioning or a working refrigerator. Expect to move in and have dirty carpets, white paint all over the floor and carpets
Oct 2019: The new management team is already making some awesome improvements and I feel like they are doing a great job. They are trying to do more community events and are extremely communicative with the residents through email. The staff and the grounds are 1000% better. I love the changes and look forward to what they in store. Review from Google
Oct 2019: A Cut Above I checked out numerous places beforehand, have lived here for 6+ years and I love it. It's well-maintained with all the amenities you could ask for ... Swimming pool, great workout room, and carports & garages are also available. Not to mention the helpful, friendly maintenance crew and the accommodating & easy-to-look-at leasing consultants (Lauren, for one, is on my mind rite now). Since most of my friends are either in nursing homes, bad health or have already kicked the bucket, living around this younger and more active crowd is ideal for an old goat like me. Major renovations throughout are in progress now so grab a place while you can ... It's gonna become even better. Review from Google
Oct 2019: It's just an average apartment complex. I lived there for about 6 months, during which time the complex came under new management. The management, like any other apartment complex management team, is out to get as much money from you as possible. For example: I moved out a day late due to a severe concussion & they made sure to charge me for that extra day... even though it was still the same day as my move out inspection and the manager going to do that inspection did not contact me about a time anyway. The staff is "friendly" and "understanding" but it's feels very fake. Review from Google
Oct 2019: Don’t move in here, nothing gets fixed if you ask for multiple days, trash is always forgotten. They removed gates. This place was much better with old management company Review from Google
Aug 2019: Changing my original review from 5 to 1 star because upon moving in, I was informed they will be removing the gates and the reason I signed here over other properties was for a gated community. Upon expressing my concerns to the property manager since they are not putting any other preventative security measures in place, she said their solution is to encourage residents to call the police when suspect things are going on so that they will feel more comfortable contacting the police. I am comfortable contacting the police, I just feel if you are making the decision to remove such important security measures, other measures need to be put in place like additional courtesy officers or a contract with a security company. Review from Google
Jun 2019: I wish I would have read the reviews before moving here! I have been a resident for 2 years and being it being close to campus and me graduating was the ONLY thing keeping me here. I plan to move as soon as my lease is up. . 1. The office staff: They were super nice at first! But as you become a resident the treatment gets more and more slack! The only one who actually cares about your concerns and tries is Karina. If your building is on fire I promise they won’t treat it with urgency. Property manager is rude, does not care about “resolving your issues” just sits there looks you in your face and pretends to care and does nothing. 2: Amenities/Pool: Half of the gym equipment doesn’t work and has old & poor equipment not even worth the time. The pool is always closed on Saturdays when you’d actually want to go & is always dirty!! How disgusting. Not to mention there was always a man walking around the pool harassing residents if they live there Review from Google

Jun 2019: Today was my second time coming for a tour and not getting one at all, and completely wasting my time. The leasing agents are so lazy and will exhaust every route to not leave their seats. I had plans to move in July, and came to see a one bedroom. “We don’t have those available, only two bedrooms.” Okay that’s fine to me. Every other community I ever visited will show their model and just make the notes of differences between that apartment and what I want. As a matter of fact, the CALICO plan looked exactly like the floor plan except the extra bedroom. Including the patio/balcony. “No ma’am, it’s not the same because it’s a two bedroom. And the balcony wouldn’t matter because you’re inside most of the time.” WHAT?! I laughed out loud and left because at that moment it became clear that she would not be leaving her precious seat for any reason. She told me to check online because they have pictures, and I said blatantly, “I would never lease at a place where I’m not able to step in and actually see an apartment in person Review from Google

May 2019: You'll be paying for a gated community, with a movie theater, pool table and pool.. but has none of the above. You'll have all the amenities available to you for inspection week but after that.. everything is closed due to "maintenance". don't waste your money like we did. So much patience can only go so far Piedmont staff. Also beware.. don't complain about anything or you'll get talked about behind closed door. Walked in on the two front desk staff talking badly about us. Great job! Showed your true colors today staff! Review from Google

Apr 2019: This place is actual trash. My AC hasn’t worked for a month and they claimed they fixed it, I have to run my drier three times to get the load to dry, I have had several leaks from my ceiling, and not to mention they refuse to deduct ANY of these things from my rent. I also put in a notice to vacate, they claimed they had no notice, and are expecting me to pay monthly when my lease says it ended on the 12...while this place is falling apart. I mean my apartment is literally 75 degrees INSIDE right now, when I had the AC turned ON. And they expect me to pay full rent when my lease claims it ends on the 12, they lost my vacate notice or are lying to me, and I have leaks and no AC...don’t move here. Ever. All the office cares about is stealing all your money, not your actual problems. I’ve never had an office staff treat me with such disrespect, or just not care about their residents. This includes the property manger, because when I brought these issues to her attention and asked for my rent to be fixed, she said “you cannot decide how much you will pay,” which obviously I understand but this place is literally uninhabitable Review from Google

Mar 2019: This place is horrible worse place I have ever lived at office people rude and have no clue what they are doing they have charged me for the most stupid stuff and then they lie about prices which I caught them in a lie the apartments falling apart ceiling was leaking the sink broke and the microwave too the pool is dirty in the summer I would not live here for the price it’s a rip off..... Jan 2019: Maintenance takes days to respond even in an emergency like a water leak. They don't answer the phone after hours or on weekends. the front desk never answers the phone and has no clue about anything. They JACK the rrent up over $100/month when you renew bc they figure its too much trouble to move on short notice.
Sep 2018: For the past few months my husband and I have been considering to move to Charlotte from Atlanta! I googled apartments in Charlotte and this property caught my eye! I called and talked to a young lady named Stephanie, she is amazing! She was very informative and welcoming just over the phone! I can’t wait to come to Charlotte and view this property in person! Review from Google
Sep 2018: I had a great experience. The woman who helped me, I think her name was Stephanie, very knowledgeable. I will definitely send my son to view/lease at this property! Review from Google
Sep 2018: Inquired about a apartment earlier last last week because I'm thinking about moving to another city Charlotte to be closer to family, and Stephanie was very nice and considerate of my situation and looking forward to moving there very soon! Review from Google
Aug 2018: Inquired about staying at an apartment. Never set anything into stone because I was moving from a major city to a smaller one with lots of distance in between. Literally was harassed about moving in then when I said I wasn’t going to right away and that my application could be on hold for 30 days before I decide what I was going to do I was told no it would be thrown out because I wasn’t swift enough, basically didn’t move in on her time. Stephanie is EXTREMELY rude and shouldn’t be the face of this apartment complex. I will never move in now because I’d hate to have to deal with her pettiness everyday. Review from Google
Aug 2018: Stephanie at the Piedmont at Ivey Meadow was incredibly rude over the phone. She spoke with an attitude and constantly interrupted me as I was trying to politely explain a request. It was amazing. Even after I asked if she would please allow me to finish my thought, she continued to interrupt. I couldn't believe it. Review from Google
Aug 2018: I stayed at this place for 2 years and this is the review: Office staff: Rude from the very beginning. Even when me and my first roommate took the tour all we got was attitude and unanswered questions. I've had to complain to corporate 3 times yet the same three women who makes the company and apartment look bad as a whole still works there. Being a college student location was the only thing that kept me at this place. Actual Apartment: Both apartments were in decent condition, even though my first roommate had small bugs on her floor upon move in in which one lady from the office asked her" dont you have a vacuum". Pest Control: Payed every month but did not come to spray my apartment not once until the last week of my lease. At that time we already seen numerous water bugs inside the house. Apparently you have to be put on a list for your Review from Google
Jun 2018: I've somehow made it to living here for a year. Well first off, I think the maintenance staff are pretty nice. That's the only thing I can compliment about this place. The people working the front desk could care less about you. I live on the first floor and one day while my sister and I weren't home someone cut the outside screen of the master bedroom window, got into the window, stole my car keys from the counter and stole my car. They might as well take the front gate out because it's pointless. I don't feel safe living here and it's been a month since this incident has happened and the window screen is just sitting there chilling on the ground because I don't think they care to fix it. Also, if you have the room where the AC filter drains into your bathtub, mold will grow all over the ceiling and apparently it's fine. Review from Google
May 2018: UPDATE: Really wish we could get rid of this valet-trash nonsense. It's not worth it, and it tacks on a fee to the rent, AS WELL AS an additional fee for the trash compactor? Why are we paying for both? I can understand some of the complaints that people have posted before me, but I'm really happy living here. I've been here for over four years, and I plan on upping my lease again. I've had nothing but great neighbors in my time living here, and surprisingly I have never had to make a noise complaint (unlike other places I have lived). I find the staff to be nice and helpful, my service requests are always completed on the same day they or made, or the day after. The new management company seems to be working on the complex, the gym got some new equipment, and the pool area got an upgrade as well. I use the gym frequently, so I was happy to s Review from Google
Apr 2018: The apartment went to repaint parking lines and supposedly sent an email about moving cars. Some individuals did not get the email and had their cars towed. The apartment refused to admit fault or pay for the towing for residents that did not get the emails. This is ridiculous paying 200 dollars to release my car when I pay to live here. Don’t live here.
