Aug 2021: Management is horrible and unprofessional. There has been mold growing in our apartment since January 2018. Service work orders have been submitted and management has refused to rectify the situation and it is now August 14,2021. My mother and father have been hospitalized several times over the last 3 years and most recently on august 2,2021 my father was carried away in an ambulance because of mold and now has to be on an oxygen tank for the rest of his life. Lawsuit coming
Aug 2019: I never leave reviews but felt the need to today; Me and my roommate moved to this property from Greenville, Nc recently and I will say that it is very spacious which is great. Love the layout and having two pools is nice. I am a little concerned with the attitude of the assistant manager, Lynn. When I came to move in (which is supposed to be an exciting time) she had the worst and nastiest attitude. I did not get not one smile from her the whole time on move-in day. Being that it was me and my roommates first time moving into apartment that was not student housing, the process was a little different for us. On move-in day we had an issue with insurance that could have easily been fixed in which it was, but the attitude from her just made me feel like I was stupid for not knowing some things. Both me and my mother noticed this and felt uncomfortable.Going back to when my roommate and I were in the process of signing a lease we had the pleasure of having Patrice as our leasing agent and the difference between her and Lynn were night and day Review from Google
Jul 2019: Pros: 1. Great location if you’re an UNCC student. 2. Ok apartments for the price. Could be better. 3. My apartment has a lake view so it’s nice. 4. Cable is included but you must pay a $50 which is mandatory for not much benefits. 5. People say it's noisy but I never had an issue 6. Maintenance is quick if you have an issue 7. Staff are very nice Cons: 1. No recycling service 2. Older AC units but still works 3. Car wash station doesn't have a power outlet for pressure washers and the vacuum doesn't work 4. If there is moderately strong wind and rain the entire side of apartment west of the lake looses power Review from Google
Jun 2019: Well maintained, spacious apartments. The management is great! Very prompt with service requests. We didn't have any problem during our stay for a year. Review from Google
Jun 2019: It’s an okay place. If you’re into cars and you wash your car yourself, there’s a wash station with no power outlet if you got a pressure washer, a vacuum that doesn’t work, and today no water. A wash station is a big thing for me and most other places offer wash stations with power outlets. My garage is way too far to pull an extension cord and there isn’t a garage that is sensibly close for you to pull out the power for the pressure washer even if my garage was the one closest to the wash station. I lived an apartment complex in Florida and their service were way better for a much cheaper price. They had a wash station that even had a pressure washer updated interiors, and I’m talking latest upgrades and right next to my old university. Review from Google
Jun 2019: I have been dealing with a mold issue for over 4 months! Management is very rude and short. This complex is not worth the stress. I was sent a notification about renewing my lease and then I was told after they found out they had a hearing with the city that I did not need to come into the office and that I need to lease that date my lease ends. Now they are advising a end of lease inspection with a k9 dog. Review from Google

Mar 2019: I have been a resident here for 13 months , I signed A 15 month lease when I first moved here from NY in March 2018. My time here has been mostly pleasant except for a few hiccups with the office, encountering an HOMELESS man sleeping on the yoga mat in the fitness center at 5:30 AM on March 6th and then to TOP it all off, Someone BROKE into my apartment and stole all of the things I worked hard for and cherished on March 20th! If you are considering moving here DO NOT move on the ground floor! other than the constant Debris from the landscapers you COULD ALSO BE TARGETED! I left my guest window cracked while I was away at work & someone took full ADVANTAGE by cutting a whole in the window screen & and climbing in. I’ve lived here for a YEAR with not ONE incident not even a package being STOLEN. The only invader I’ve ever experienced was a frog that got in after a rainy day by the lake! PRIOR to the breaking and entering I have had no issues with management! The morning after my home was violated I went in to the office and spoke with Patrice, she is always pleasant and professional and normally gets my service request resolved the next day Review from Google

Dec 2018: Amazing place to have your home beside the lake. Provides with various amenities like Tennis court, Pool, Gym and Internet Cafe available 24 hours and excellent service from the Maintenance team along with the office staff. Being gated community keeps your safety first and have very well maintained apartments. Although, I am an international student the leasing procedure and all takes place smoothly and will recommend to stay here for sure!! Review from Google
Dec 2018: I've lived here for a few months now, and must say that I've been pleased. The people in the office are friendly, and maintenance responds quickly to all concerns. I don't know what the previous management company was like, but the new management has been great; for the University Area, I highly recommend staying here! Review from Google
Dec 2018: You are forced to pay $50/month for cable. I was told that the only way to get out of this fee is if I worked for spectrum and work out a deal with them. Management removed recycling services, but continues to charge the same fee for trash pick up. Now the trash dump is consistently overflowing with recyclables. Pool is typically closed for half of the summer. When asked why, every single staff member gave me a different answer. Rent goes up every time you renew your lease, we had to move apartments just to get back down to a reasonable rate. Staff is friendly and helpful when it comes to everyday things, but dismissive of the problems above when brought to their attention. I get the impression that MAA has instructed them to do nothing about such things. They put in much needed speed bumps, but managed to find the most obnoxious ones on the m Review from Google
Dec 2018: This is a descent place to rent. Neighborhood is pretty safe and no mess here the maintenance team is fast and pleasant! The prices on some apartments are not worth it but hey that’s everywhere in Charlotte! I like clean and no mess . Review from Google
Dec 2018: Thes best located and pleasant environment community which I had been so far. The beautiful lake at the center with Waterfall. The service provided by them are super fast and very good. It is the best community to stay in North Charlotte as its has many stores near by and also the train stop for easy access. and its one of the huge community with more that 11 buildings in the campus. Lastly I would just suggest everyone to be here is like heaven. EAST OR WEST MAA IS THE BEST..!! Review from Google
Dec 2018: It is a very good complex near university. Maintenance is excellent too and fast! Review from Google
Dec 2018: Moving me and my mom down here frm NY we love this place....I love it in the summer time it looks so beautiful.....one thing they need to improve with is putting side walks thru out this gated community.... Review from Google
Dec 2018: Wow Google Reviews do not do this place justice. After the new management took over, this place is flawless. But looks like everyone has been putting reviews on the actual apartment sites recently, but whatever. Maintenance is so quick and considerate. The office staff is friendly, helpful, and most importantly: knowledgeable. definitely recommend. Review from Google
Dec 2018: The people who works on the office are very kind. Also they have very good spot and everything near to me Review from Google
Oct 2018: We are happy with our new home Patrice has been more than helpful even checking to make sure that our move in was good and that everything in our apartment was working. So far so good Review from Google
Oct 2018: The accommodation here is wonderful and close to the services and there is also a metro train to go downtown really a special complex Review from Google
Sep 2018: Living here for a year, staff it's very friendly always attentive. Review from Google
Sep 2018: The property manager suggested to pay maintenance “under the table” when I inquired management to install a ceiling fan in one of the bedrooms. This constituency participates in unethical business practices which makes me feel highly uncomfortable. I would not recommend this complex. Review from Google
Apr 2018: The leasing staff is so much better than the ones when I moved here. It's great to have staff members that really care about their residents and the apartment complex, they work for. Every time I visit the office I'm always received with a warm welcome from Patrice, Michael, and Lynn. They're professional and friendly. The office staff is Amazing. Review from Google
Mar 2018: Absolutely horrible place to live. When I moved in, one of the hall closets was full of trash. After telling the front office they said cleaners would be coming before the day ended, but they didn’t show up. They tried to charge me $1000 for replacing the carpets when they had not been replaced in years or cleaned from the previous renters. Seriously the worst apartment complex. Changing their name to “The Lake” won’t make the management any better. Review from Google
Mar 2018: Worst management .. They don't talk to you properly.. They charge you for every minute thing. They charge every apartment for bedbug($1200) because of one apartment.. beware of this agency Review from Google
Feb 2018: Make sure to read all the underline information before signing up at this place. Getting a unfurnished at cheap price sounds good but then you are paying pest fees, cable fees, trash fees and not normal AC bills. Do your research then sign here. Review from Google
