Sep 2019: You won’t find a better more attentive Apartment HOME!! Quiet and well maintained. The staff and maintenance team are the very best ever. I have loved living here for nearly five years. The service keeps exceeding my expectations. Review from Google
Jul 2019: The place is great & the staff are excellent and always cheerful. Review from Google
Apr 2019: While doing the irrigation at this property it was very well maintained with extremely polite staff. Review from Google
Apr 2019: I wouldn’t even give them 1 star. I lived here for 5 yrs and each yr it got worst and worst. The original property owners, Belle Properties, were willing to work with their residents. I did not begin experiencing issues until Courtland Properties took over. Recently they sold the property to Presley but still items are not addressed. My HVAC malfunctioned Feb 2018. Maintenance came out on 3 diff occasions to “fix” it. I even sent a review to the maintenance supervisor and still nothing. The upgrades Courtland Properties did 3 yrs ago were poorly done, and not worth the increase of rent. If you’re willing to pay $1000-1200+ in rent there are better rental properties in Charlotte that are newer and worth the money. I paid a deposit to Belle when I originally moved in, and now the new management is unaware if they have the records to return it. Review from Google
Oct 2018: I recently moved to the Charlotte area and was in need of finding somewhere to call home as soon as possible. My first interaction with The Oaks was with Whitney, and until this day she remains to be a huge help and a friendly face. The community is located in a very convenient area and if there's something that you may not be able to find, the staff will go out of their way to help you. Review from Google
Sep 2018: My wife and I lived at the Oaks for 15 months and it was the perfect fit for us! This was the first place we lived in Charlotte, and it really helped us feel at home right away. Love the nature all around the complex, the renovated gym and leasing office are superb, and the staff always went above and beyond. We made some of our best friends through the community events that they hold every few months. Some of the biggest pros: spacious balconies, awesome shower heads, safe and walkable throughout the complex, free drinks and snacks in the leasing office. Denise and Rayla always took excellent care of us. We planned to live here until we were ready to buy a house, but we both work in Uptown and the commute got to be pretty annoying so it just made sense to move to Uptown. We will always hold fond memories of The Oaks! Review from Google
Aug 2018: I had to move to the Charlotte area on short notice and toured multiple apartments in an effort to find one. I found The Oaks to have the most robust amenities and most importantly the kindest staff. Alexis helped answer all of my questions and make my move as painless as possible. I even toured other Cortland Partners locations and none matched The Oaks in service and quality. Review from Google
Jun 2018: Am relocating from another city for a new job opportunity and chose The Oaks Apartment community. The staff was extremely helpful in working with me in getting me set up in my new apartment. Special Thanks to Whitney Mack for her time and patience in assisting me on every step of the way. May 2018: With our 8+ month stay here, I can say this apartment is good overall. definitely recommend this one. Review from Google
May 2018: I have lived in multiple apartment complexes over the years and The Oaks is the best. The office staff are amazing! Whitney in particular always helps me whenever I have questions or need something. Also, the maintenance staff is awesome! They fulfill all my request without any hassle. I have zero complaints living here. If you are looking for a great place to live, I definitely recommend The Oaks! Review from Google
May 2018: The location is excellent with lots of places nearby to shop and eat as well as having easy access to 485 & 77 makes the commute really convenient. The staff(especially Whitney Mack), hands down, has been one of the best that I've worked with while renting. The maintenance crew is exceptional, always on top of your request. If you're looking for a safe, well-kept and friendly place to live, The Oaks by Cortland is for you! Review from Google
Apr 2018: In the process of relocating to the Charlotte area, went to view The Oaks and totally loved the experience! Apartments were great, area was great, prices were very reasonable and staff was very helpful and wonderful! Received great assistance from Ms. Whitney Mack and she was wonderful! Definitely considering moving into the Oaks :) Review from Google
Dec 2017: My favorite part about this community is everyone at the front office. They've always worked with me on any issues or problems and do so with a smile! The maintenance team is great as well. Very quick and efficient. Biggest plug lately is the Google Fiber install. Definitely worth moving here! Plus the pool is awesome, last year 95.1 came out and threw a party. Would absolutely recommend. Review from Google
Dec 2017: I have been a resident at the Oaks for over 3 years, and the moment Cortland took over it has been absolutely amazing. Small issues take less than 24 hours to fix and the maintenance team always leaves a gift. The office staff is equally amazing. Stephanie, Whitney, and Rayla are always extremely nice and keep up with me and my life happenings. It feels good to live in a community where management team really has a pulse on what goes on in the community. The Oaks is awesome! Review from Google
Dec 2017: I was extremely impressed with the staff when i visited. I did a tour with Whitney and she was very professional and knowledgeable. She offered different options to accommodate my needs. One of the big things I look for when leasing is the willingness to help from the staff. I greatly appreciated the time she spent with me. The grounds was amazing and the office was even better. I will definitely be making The Oaks my next home! Review from Google
Dec 2017: I love this apartment complex. The grounds and pool area are beautiful. The office/maintenance staff are friendly and courteous. I rarely need to put a work order in but when I do, then maintenance team is quick and tidy when they come to the apartment. Overall, I enjoy The Oaks! Review from Google
Dec 2017: Wow, I love this place! I recommend it. The price is right and the amenities are abundant. They just recently had Google fiber installed too. The fitness gym is amazing! The staff: Rayla, Stephanie, Whitney, and Denise are awesome! I would renew my lease, Highly recommended! This company really cares about their tenants! Plus I hear they have an awesome tech support person that fixes their computers too! Wow! Review from Google
May 2017: Lived here for nine months. The fitness facility is not open 24/7 and they just opened it 2 months ago. When I singed my lease I signed because of the gym on site but it wasn't helpful at all because it was only open for the last two months of my lease and only available during leasing hours. Construction and noise were also a huge issue while I lived here. Rent is way over priced. The security gate never works either. Review from 5/18/17 on Google
May 2017: This place is sub par and ran by sub par people. This was supposed to be an "upgrade" and in an attempt of trusting liars in the office and being in a rush I had to rent here. Biggest mistake of my life. It's not worth the money. The gym is open when the front office is open which is beyond foolish. Wanna work out before work? Forget it. It's more like a tiny imitation of a gym...that my neighbors tell me took two years to build and still isn't up to code. Review from 5/16/17 on Google
Apr 2017: Update: I can't stand this place. New management is just like old management and staff...liars. The only my nice part about this place is the office. Some websites lie because you can't rate under a certain point. Everything is old. There are roaches. Valet trash is a joke. Maintenance is a joke. You can't use the gym unless the staff is working. So if you want to workout in the morning or at night you won't be able to do that that is stupid. Review from 4/22/17 on Google
Mar 2017: I gave the Oaks one star because the original maintenance guys that are left (XXXX and XXXX) really do what they can to take care of you. Living here for close to 2 years was an awful idea but I thought with renovations and a completely new office staff things would turn around. But now it's just the same terrible service and excuses with different faces. The Oaks hasn't had a gym for 2 years and guess what it's still not complete !! They were waiting for mirrors for over 2 months making the residents wait and now it's open still with no mirrors ? It's poor management all around. . If you are looking to move in here do not be persuaded based on what eventually will be there because you will not see it for a long time. Review from 3/5/17 on Google
Feb 2017: I absolutely love living here! A huge part of that is due to the staff. I moved here while pregnant and have since had my baby here. The staff has been absolutely amazing and so helpful! Jimmy does a great job to quickly resolve any maintenance issue I have had. Location is great, and love the landscaping here. My one complaint is that when we signed the lease they said the fitness center was supposed to open in July of 2016 and January of 2017 it still isn't ready. Review from 2/9/17 on Google
Jan 2017: The Oaks, I feel kind of bad giving two stars as the people who work in the office, the maintenance guys all are really nice and really do try to help you with your problems. I also like the mature landscaping of the area. I think the majority of the problems of this place are due to Cortland Partners who bought the oaks and hired contractors for the renovation. The renovations are more or less a bad job, not well done and the people in the office are having to deal with the impact of the bad job. The model apartment is beautiful and is very good bait, for any perspective renter. Review from 1/18/17 on Google
Dec 2016: My time at the Oaks has been horrible. The property has been renovated and yes, i expect their to be noise but wow; nails all over the sidewalk where i walk my dog, shaking windows from the banging, and plenty of trucks inconviently parked all over the property. The Oaks has been renovated with the cheapest of parts possible. If your door knob or sink faucet break, (which are the most commonly broken items), you will be told that they will have them "in a couple weeks bc they are coming from China". This property has the friendliest of staff, dont get me wrong, but management and the speed of which things are done at is horrendous. Review from 12/6/16 on Apartment Ratings
Oct 2016: My experience living at The Oaks in Charlotte, NC has been horrible. From spiders to roaches making their way across the apartment floors is disgusting. The Oaks' fix to this issue is to have someone from a pest control company spray 1x a month, not enough. With The Oaks being an older property, there are multiple renovations going on all the time. Usually starts at around 8am and goes all day long until 5pm. Random pieces of drywall and nails can be found all over the path in which i walk my dogs. The most important information I can provide you with, is to stay as far away from unit #724 as possible. Review from 10/25/16 on Apartment Ratings
