Hi, Loading...

Oct 2018: Quiet and safe neighborhood and the staff is very helpful and attentive. Spectrum cable is inclusive in the rent. Very old, moldy and hot apartments. The AC goes in and out and does not keep the apartment cool. There is a huge roach infestation and pest control doesn’t make a difference. It’s very uncomfortable living conditions with all the roaches, especially when it rains. It would be a nice apartment complex if it wasn’t so hot and roach infested. I’ve also seen several lizards in my apartment. The roaches run around like they own the place and it doesn’t matter how many times you clean it get pest control to spray.
Sep 2018: For the price you are paying, this apartment complex is great! Most people leaving negative comments are talking about clogged drains or roaches... The day we moved in we got roach traps at Walmart for less than $8 that are good for three months and we have not had any roach infestations! Clogged drain? Get some Drano! For issues without an easy fix, the maintenance staff is phenomenal!! We had issues with our AC and maintenance was at our apartment to fix it without us even filing a report for help and the issue was resolved the day of! Again, the maintenance is very helpful, quick to respond, and good at what they do! The office staff members are respectful and do their best to help you in every way. We were struggling to find a place to live and, thanks to Jennifer, were able to sign our lease and move in shortly after! I've also read some Review from Google
Sep 2018: Been suffering through a roach infestation for months. They tell us to call to have our name added to the pest control list every week. We do, still infested. Thankfully Massey did more than just spray this last time. Office manager is such a phony. Pretends to care, doesn’t. Had to remind her to do her job and contact the roofers to come fix a leak that turned out bathroom into a moldy wreck with a soggy hole in the wall. We dealt with that for nearly a month. She literally said “Oh thanks for calling that reminds me I need to contact them”. Just one of a few conversations I’ve had with her, all unsatisfactory. Jeremy, in the office, is always rude and always has an attitude and a “screw you” expression on his face. Most unprofessional complex I’ve ever lived in, and between the bugs and the neglect and the lack of respect, I wo Review from Google
Aug 2018: This place has a great feel. The staff and management are helpful and nice. Though there are times when you need help after the a.c. stops working or anything else that may go wrong. The best person to help is Steve in maintenance. Steve is the nicest, most respectful, and down to earth person here. Steve makes sure things get done fast and well. If you need any maintenance done by the office ask for Steve he is simply the best! Review from Google
Jun 2018: The Place at Alafaya staff always makes you feel like you are home and you are part of their family. always helpful and on time to fix anything. Don’t know what to do without them. Very nice and the apartments are spacious. Recommend them to everybody. Worth my years with them and always thankful ❤️ Review from Google
Jun 2018: If you don't like roaches, don't move here. All the past reviews complaining about roaches are true. There weren't any for while when I first moved in, so I thought that the rumors weren't true, but then a few months later they started popping up. I let the office know and they had pest control come out a few times, which did barely anything, but by that time it was winter again and the bugs went into hiding. By the next summer, one of my neighbors moved out and their apartment was empty for about a month right when it started getting warm again and whatever bugs they had invaded my apartment. And by invaded, I mean at least 5-10 in a clean and empty kitchen all sharing 2 drops of water in the sink. The pest control is slow and useless so I had to spend my own money on professional roach bait to get them down to a tolerable level (which means Review from Google
Jun 2018: It's not worth the hassle, the staff and management are bad here. You will go through a lot of work and waste money trying to apply to this place. You are better off anywhere else in Orlando. Review from Google
Jun 2018: don't MOVE HERE. Management only cares about your money, they claim to have renovated but everything still falls apart. I moved in to a 2x1 with no cabinet doors, no drawers, a broken door, broken shower, and torn up carpet and it took over a month for them to start working on it. The stairs outside are wooden and are falling apart not to mention the speed bumps will rip off your bumper if you're not careful. oh and I repeat management is terrible!!!! The only pleasant experience I had here was the maintenance crew. They were super friendly, always eager to help, go above and beyond and actually care about the residents (unlike management). It's one of the cheaper places to live by UCF but it's not worth it. Save yourself the headache and frustration. Review from Google

Jun 2018: Javi and Jeremy have been very helpful since I applied for an apartment at The Place at Alafaya. They provided the information I asked for and went our of their way to make sure the apartment was ready by the move-in date. Whenever I have a question or have a maintenance issue, I know I can call them or stop by the office, and they'll be happy to help. They do care about their tenants and whenever I see them, they greet me with a smile. Review from Google
May 2018: They are great, i didn't want to leave, i moved to their sister property that had a three bedroom house for rent.. so i jumped on the opportunity for move room, and still be among an organization that treats their tenants like family.... Review from Google
Mar 2018: *must read* I did not listen to these reviews. I moved to Orlando for college with my boyfriend and this being our first home together, I was more than willing to look at the positives about this apartment. However, when we started noticing the number of German roaches, silverfish as well as the rude uncooperative staff we could no longer look at the positives. They are extremely unorganized, as they had another person's name on our lease that we have never even heard of by accident? The exterminator sprays in two corners and leaves doing nothing to prevent your bug problem. I could go on and on about this place. SAVE yourself the complications there are far more places in the city of Orlando worth your time and money. Review from Google
Feb 2018: Nice place. The staff is helpful and they host events for residents. But what makes this place so great is the awesome maintenance staff who work hard and fast to make sure this place stays clean and functioning. Particularly Jose, Steven, Mike, and Juan have been incredibly helpful with any questions or requests that I have had. They have truly made my time here at The Place a lot better. Review from Google
Jan 2018: very attentive crew, always a pleasure to be greeted by kind smiles. its nice to know i live in a friendly community with friendly staff. every time i had an issue it was solved with utmost urgency. i had a pleasure working with Jeremy, very friendly, and personable leasing proffesional Review from Google
Dec 2017: Absolutely amazing!! Amy who is “golf cart certified” ;) was absolutely great. She showed me everything and anything that would make this place heaven to its renters. I got approved in less then 5 hours and will be moving in no time. She was absolutely excellent great sense of humor and so speedy to get things moving! I cannot wait to start living here. Review from Google
Dec 2017: Our experience with this place has been positive. We were looking for an apartment for our twin boys and Ms. Amy gave us a tour, she's the BEST, she answered all our questions and has been patient with us throughout the process up to the signing of the lease and have done it all with smile on her face. Jeremy has been a great help as well, he took time to show the apartment again to our boys so they can have an idea on what furniture to choose. This two are what made this place special Review from Google
Dec 2017: Despite all the horrible reviews I decided to move in here. I honestly did not have a problem with bugs what-so-ever. The only issue I had was that the walls were thin but that's going to happen in all old apartments. The leasing office staff was okay but Lisa Marie was the best. She's always so helpful. Review from Google
Dec 2017: On and off, I have lived at The Place for over 10 years. I obviously liked it. I am stunned by some of these reviews. My apartment was seriously damaged by Hurricane Irma, so I was forced to move, but I would be quite happy to return. I would like to address some of these negative comments. I was always treated with courtesy and respect, by the staff. Perhaps, that is because I treated the staff with courtesy and respect. I would suggest that those who are complaining about the staff should reexamine their own behavior and expectations. I find the complaints about bugs laughable. Welcome to Florida! When you have pests, call the Office. They will send an exterminator, and the problem will be resolved, for awhile. Eventually, you WILL see a return. That is just the way it is in a sub-tropical environment. Battles can be Review from Google
Aug 2017: I. Hope this place has changed ,because my granddaughter is moving in..don't want her to live with cockroaches. And hope the management is better.
May 2017: First this has nothing to do with negativity these are just the facts and notice the one star reviews are a lot more detailed then the others! Wonder why that is? Since I've lived here my stuff has been vandalized, I have literally had a beehive removed from the wall that they (let) get so bad I had bees flying in my place. I've had Flood's and electrical problems. They make not having hot water sound like a personal problem. My Water heater has been messed up for six months now I had to buy a portable water heater. There upgrades are nothing more than to cover up the fact that many things are not fixed. Review from 5/29/17 on Google
May 2017: This place has improved a lot since the management has changed. There are no more bugs here than to be expected in Florida, especially with the close proximity of the buildings to trees. If you do have bugs, the pest control service they have contracted are very quick, courteous, and do an excellent job. We had roaches leftover from the last tenant and they were all killed with 2 visits in a month. The staff are all very friendly and very hard working. If you have any problem with your apartment and you go to them about it, they have someone out to address the problem within a couple days, if not the same day. Review from 5/2/17 on Google
Apr 2017: This place was a joke from the second I moved in, if I could give it zero stars I would. Everyone who works here from the office staff to the maintence men are complete morons. I moved here because I was just starting UCF and wanted to be close to school to make things easier on me. What a mistake that was. Within the first two weeks I moved in my cable didn't work and my A.C. broke. They were absolutely NO help with either of the situations. When it came to the cable problem I fought and fought with the cable company thinking it was there fault at first. Review from 4/30/17 on Google
Feb 2017: I was living in a 1-bedroom apartment in this complex last year. The staff try to be as friendly as possible but what matters at first place is the quality of service. There are some points about this place I should mention for the future residents: 1) The apartments are super old in this complex. You won't be alone in your apartment because there are many cockroaches around the place. 2) The water was off many times due to a problem with the main water pipe of the complex. You will learn how to live without water in this complex. Review from 2/5/17 on Google
Jan 2017: I had to make sure I wrote a review because there is a lot of negativity and I'm not quite sure why. Honestly with reading these reviews I was a little hesitant to move my daughter and I here but I'm glad I did! Let's start with the application process. I worked with XXXX and she was so great! Explained everything to me and helped me the whole way. XXXX still to this day will help me with anything that I need! I've been here for a little over a month now. No bugs, it's actually very quiet for being right next to the college, and the maintenance has helped me within 24 hrs. I had the drain in my sink in the bathroom not draining properly and my heater broke and they fixed that in the same day for me. Review from 1/29/17 on Google
Dec 2016: I am a current tenant, about to move out. I have been living here for 1 year and i have to say that in only a year of living here i have experienced the most unprofessional management of any complex i have ever lived in, and i have moved quite a few times. I've had management enter my home with less than a 6 hour notice (early in the morning i might add). I moved in in early December, i did a room inspection as is common for any housing complex, however it wasn't until MID FEBRUARY that they actually fixed the broken things in my apartment. The place is old and cheap, if you want to get anything done or fixed it always takes way too long. There's a constant lack of communication and misunderstanding from the management. Review from 12/8/16 on Google
Oct 2016: I lived at this apartment for a year. Had a GIANT spider (talking bigger than a hand) that took a shoe to the face, as well as a fireball (hairspray and lighter) and still was able to run away. Neighbors reported they had killed it the next day with a large boot. I had a great view of some woods outside of my apartment where a wild boar lived. Someone was stealing power for a few months while here as well. Not a great place. Review from 10/3/16 on Google
