May 2017: I love this apartment, beautiful inside and out! Very close to everything you need or want, staff and management are all awesome and kind! This is a great place to live and also very family and pet friendly! All at an affordable price which is hard to find these days!!!! I would definitely recommend these apartment homes to anyone on the look for a nice place to live👌ðŸ»ðŸ‘ðŸ»

Oct 2016: It's okay. Trust me, not the best but okay. If you're going for cheap you can do better (try River Oaks off of Aquarena). We lived right by a hotel and would occasionally make awkward eye contact with our Summit Inn neighbors- not exactly what I'd call ideal. So State Flats has sub-par office management, they have lost multiple papers and accused us of not paying rent due to their loss of OUR money orders. The head of management at one point brought my roommate to tears. You really need to stay on top on the management if you want anything done.

Aug 2016: These apartments are hands down the worst place I've ever lived. Some general issues I've had: -Cockroach infestation -Bathroom flooding from under my toilet anywhere from 1:00am-3:00am -Electrical fire in my ceiling -Gas leak outside my apartment (which I was told was just a normal smell that happens) -Neighbors who were under and screaming profanities and stumbling around the complex and had frequent unsafe visitors -Rude and sneaky management I have gone through three managements since I've lived here and the current management is terrible.

Jun 2016: Lived here for almost a year and I regret it. I only moved here bc this was the only pace that had an apartment for rent around the time of the flood (I should of looked longer). After my first water bill, it nearly DOUBLED! Average we pay is about $140! This property is under its 3rd owner if I'm not mistaken since I've been here. We've had our apartment treated for bugs 3 times and still get them. Unless you keep your ac at 72 your upstairs will stay very hot. I've been waiting over 2 months on work orders to be done, the new owners said they will "reprocess them" but didn't even ask the issues. I'm counting down the days till I can move into my new place.

Mar 2016: I am a current resident of state flats and could not gloat enough about the repairmen and the managing skills of Megan. I did get frustrated at times when things were not done to my schedule but issues and repairs were done in a timely manner. We just transferred into a townhome because the apartment we lived in had problems with the walls. They are making the transfer as smooth as possible, have been more than gracious with the late payments, and I would recommend these apartments to anyone looking. Very quiet and safe for me and my family!

Feb 2016: I can't wait until my lease is up. Things were okay when Fairway Properties took over management right before I moved in. After Rockbridge took over last year, things went downhill. Maintenance requests took longer to fulfill, some went unfulfilled, and the inexperienced maintenance men had to make multiple attempts at fixing things. I had to put in a complaint with the regional office in Austin to force them to fix things. Maintenance even lied about fixing things that weren't fixed. My roof has been leaking since the Memorial Day floods. It's been 9 months since I've reported my leaking roof.
