Sep 2019: Amazing staff, wonderful residents. My favorite part is the welcoming faces of the dining hall. Super friendly and great to hold a conversation with!! Review from Google
Sep 2019: 2nd year living here. New management this year and already see big difference. The elevators actually work now! Hallways and lobby are always clean. Rooms are nice. Like having security and someone at the desk always. Food upstairs is great. Only complaint is the ac system. It is ridiculously loud. You cannot watch tv while it is on and can barely have a conversation. It’s also really dusty. Hoping the new management will change the ac. Review from Google
Jul 2019: The dorm rooms are a little small if you're not used to sharing a room. The buffet is amazing although quite limiting if you have any special needs diet wise. This review is per my daughter who stayed there for a school program Review from Google
Apr 2019: Very nice dorms!! The only problem is the walls are very thin and you can hear everything going on. Review from Google
Mar 2019: I have lived at University Towers for two years now. The first year I was here I have a good time and had minimal problems. This year however has be horrible. Every time I do laundry which is about once a week I cannot find a working dryer. I wait an hour for my clothes to dry to find that the dryer was broken and I have to find a different dryer and wait on it. The cafeteria had good food in the beginning but quickly became repetitive and boring. I park in the parking garage and my car has been hit serval times because spaces are too small and the deck is not well lit. It is not worth the money you pay to live here especially when the rooms are so small. Review from Google
Feb 2019: Do NOT live here. There are plenty of better places with cheaper prices near NC State. Many other places have better payment plans if you’re on financial aid. Here, they charge you before your aid/scholarships come and apply late fees. The food isn’t good and the workers don’t even try to make it so. They are also very rude. The elevators are bumpy and feel unsafe. But they are never working so you probably won’t be riding them very often. There are about 12 washers and 12 dryers split between 8 floors of students, about half of each actually work. The management seems to not care about college students’ schedules. I had a racist roommate and had to move into a single room. I ended up in the single room for a month with no information on how to find a new roommate. Management assigned me to a new room with no information on how to obtain the key and without confirmation from the roommate that I could move in after this month long period Review from Google
Feb 2019: Please, please do not live here. The cable hardly ever works, even when I asked them to fix the problem, they told me I had to call the service provider because they didn’t want to deal with it. Yet I’m still having to pay for cable. There’s nonstop yelling in the halls. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. I’m honestly surprised it has a 3 star rating. Please find somewhere else to live for how much money they cost. When I first started living here the rent was $623 a month. The next year they bumped it up to$683. A $60 price increase with no upgrades to anything. The furniture is horrible and hasn’t been upgraded on the lower floors. Rent is also going up again to $799 for the most basic room with no meal plan. I have lived here for two years, and I can’t wait to move out and never see this place again.
Feb 2019: I don't recommend living here. There are 14 washers and 14 dryers split between 8 floors of residence. Half of the washers don't work one week and half of the dryers don't work the next. If you go home every weekend it's not a problem but if you stay the only time to actually do laundry is 6 o'clock in the morning and midnight. Review from Google

Jan 2019: I was falsely accused of smoking weed so I mean, there's that. Rooms are nice though. Review from Google
Nov 2018: Definitely a nice dorm to stay! And I would stay here for subsequent years of my college life! Review from Google
Aug 2018: Came back to update my review .The rooms are nice and big and they always come to clean I‎t every other week thankfully l haven’t gotten sick like everyone says just Lysol your room maybe once a week or so ,the only problem is that the elevators , washer ,dryers are always broke like every day it’s a new elevator and let’s not get started on the ac I‎t sounds like a a 1947 dinosaur air conditioner so freaking loud so good luck trying to watch tv while getting some cool air. The food combinations in the dining hall is pretty odd never knew that squash would be served with fried ravioli. ln the mornings like the last few weeks of school l noticed that the strawberries were 90 percent of the time rooted or gone and the desserts in the fridge are always hard . The gym is a nice size I‎t always smells like musty crab meat to me but tha Review from Google
Jun 2018: It has a secure environment, great people, and delicious food. The staff is kind and attentive. I have made many new friends. It is a 10-15 minute walking distance to all my classes. It is great! Review from Google
Apr 2018: This is one of the worst places to live. The damn elevators do not work. Even though there are 4 elevators, only ONE of them will run when you call it while the other 3 just sit on one floor. One of them is always broken. If anything is broken don't count on it getting fixed. My roommate and I asked to have our shower door fixed three times and no one ever fixed it even though they said they would have maintenance take a look at it. My mini fridge is either too hot or too cold and I asked to have it replaced four times and no one did a thing about it so i gave up. Parking is TERRIBLE. Everyone literally parks over the lines and hits each others' cars and staff doesn't do a thing about it. I got a brand new BMW for Christmas and within 2 weeks of being here it had 2 dents in it from the parking deck. The food here is ok. It's not worth how much Review from Google
Apr 2018: Came back to update my review the food is still good except the strawberries everyone loves them so either it’s always gone or half of them are rotten .The rooms are nice and big and they always come to clean I‎t every other week thankfully .l haven’t gotten sick like everyone says just Lysol your room maybe once a week or so ,the only problems is that the elevators are always broke and the washing machines are always filled everyone leaves there already cleaned and dried clothes sitting inside the machines for 30 min when other people have to get in there so then the entire laundry room is filled with clothes sitting out or clothes sitting in the dryer and people’s clothes have gotten stolen or misplaced . On the weekends the food is actually pretty sad no variety or flavor but ya know I’ll rather live here because we have a pool , Review from Google
Apr 2018: I would highly recommend not living here. The air is stale, windows don't open the slightest bit, stairwells are disgusting. Had multiple items stolen out of my room that management not only treated as a frivolous event, but told me that the cameras don't reach down the hall to where my room is so there was no way for them to view camera footage of what might have occurred. Wow. There is not much sense of community here so if you are an incoming freshman, living her is not advisable as you aren't introduced to your neighbors and there are no hall events to become friendly with people. The only renowning feature is the size of the rooms, but at this rate I would much rather have just lived in a dorm on campus. This place is not worth the money. Review from Google
Mar 2018: my first semester here at UT was average, not a ton to complain about. however, 2nd semester has been TERRIBLE. The food here has significantly gotten worse: many stale food items, undercooked foods, spoiled dairy products, etc. some days you can get lucky and have a good meal, but rarely. definitely not worth the ~$9 per meal price that you pay for a meal plan. the laundry room has about half of the washers out of order at all times. the majority of the dryers don’t dry your clothes at all for the entire hour that they’re in there. you end up spending about 4 hours doing one load of clothes. the employees here (mainly the RA’s) treat the residents terribly and act like they’re above the rest of us, even though the RA’s also live here. the bathrooms are disgusting, there is no ventilation for the steam from the shower so the room is Review from Google
Feb 2018: UT is overall a pretty great place to live. Though, it does have setbacks- the wifi here constantly goes in & out, which is super inconvenient when trying to do homework in the building. It can go out from anywhere between 1 day & 2(ish) weeks. The food is good & the people are nice, but in terms of the capacity to work from your room or any other place in the building, don’t live here. Wifi isn’t guaranteed like it is other places, which is super inconvenient. Review from Google

Feb 2018: I enjoy living here a lot. It has a secure environment, great people, and delicious food. The staff is kind and attentive. I have made many new friends. It is a 10-15 minute walking distance to all my classes. It is great! Review from Google
Jan 2018: I’ve been at UT for about a 3 weeks and so far I’m impressed my room was clean and the carpet and mirror were clean we have our own bathroom which we share with one other side , gym , and dining hall haven’t had issues washing clothes best time might be during games or times when most people are in class the dining hall at the top of the building has everything l need and we get a variety of foods a main meat , pasta , breads , grill stations , sand which , pizza , desserts , and free Krispy Kreme . Better then any other dorm I’ve seen.Only downside is if you’re assigned ncsu freshman then you have to have a meal plan here and you’ll have to purchase a separate meal plan for ncsu dining if you want to Review from Google
Jan 2018: Beautiful!!! Set up like a luxury hotel I feel that my granddaughter will enjoy her time here Review from Google
Dec 2017: This place is not a great place to live, I lived on campus last year and had a better experience than this and it is only half way through the year. The only nice thing is the room size. I find myself sick here a lot due to the fact of the lack of cleanliness in the stairwells and the building. Not the mention the fact that the air is shared throughout the building causing illness to spread, which could explain my frequent illness here. The most annoying of all, laundry is the biggest pain. I am spending 3 and sometimes 4 hours on it because I can't find a dryer to dry my clothes and not to mention half of them are broken, drying machines and washing machines. Also, they don't recycle, a manager told my roommate and I that they just throw it away, very ashamed!!! Review from Google
Oct 2017: Looks kind of damp in there and definitely has the college atmosphere, but overall not a bad place to live Review from Google
Jun 2017: After living here for the entirety of my freshman year, I can say that UT is severely lacking in a variety of different categories. One of which is the overall cleanliness of the facility. There is urine, feces, and beer in some of the stairwells. Additionally, the entire air system is shared among the entire building -- this leads to illness spreading rapidly throughout the property and among its residents. The food quality has declined as UT is trying to make ends meet financially. Review from 6/3/17 on Google
May 2017: I stayed at UT for my freshman year at NCSU and overall the experience has been good. Compared to on campus options UT definitely is a step above. The Pros: - Bigger rooms - Only 4 to a bathroom - Fast elevators - Chill RA (Your's may not be) - Quite (End of the hall) - Food is above par - Pool and volleyball court - Workers are friendly - Free washer/dryer - Good location The Cons: - Stairwell is often very gross and dirty - Elevators often break Review from 5/12/17 on Google
