Dec 2017: Location is excellent. Convenient to many places including walking to NCSU campus, library, stores, mission valley center. It is good if the apartments are maintained and the resident clean regularly. As many reviewers have mentioned, the residents need to keep the place they live in clean.
Dec 2016: Strictly OK apartments, lived here for 2 years and moving out now...
Pros:
1. Large living room and master bedroom
2. Attached bathrooms for each bedroom
3. Toilet near living room
4. Washer/dryer included
5. 2 parking spaces !!!
6. Good maintenance team
7. Future Google Fiber location
8. Very close to NC state campus
Cons:
1. Roaches can be a problem
2. Old creaky floorboards, not renovated, and shows signs of age
3. Some noise is audible from neighbors
4. Right next to frat houses
5. 10%-20% more expensive than neighboring apartment complexes
6. No pool, gym or dog park
7. Joe Stewart, the property manager from Wilson property management is a racist and is quite rude
8. Not meant for families

Dec 2016: The location of the apartment is outstanding for who attend NCSU , as well as the price, but there are too many international students live there never clean, since the first day they moved in until they leave, they never clean the place, or take the place, abuse appliances they live like their home country, never mop, wipe, dust etc...

Jan 2016: Champion court is a place for students and not for families with kids. I liked the spacious master bedroom with attached bathroom. The spacious living room also had a toilet nearby for guests to use. We had 2 parking spaces, washer/dryer, and maintenance came when needed. Also close to NC state and future google fiber location. I disliked the roaches, creaky floorboards, noisy neighbors/frat house, no community center (no pool/gym/dog park). It is also a little more expensive than other apts nearby.
Apr 2014: You cannot blame the complex for the irresponsibility of the residents. The appliances are fine considering the price. However, I've seen a few of the apartments, and recently started subletting here--the residents just keep them in abysmal condition. When I moved in there were tons of maintenance issues that had gone ignored, because my now roommates "didn't have time" to call maintenance. If your appliances are falling apart, its because previous residents did not take the responsibility to maintain them. Furthermore, if creepy crawlies entered your apartment, its also because many of the residents here have never cleaned their apartments since the beginning of their leases...not even a simple wipe down with clorox wipes.

Feb 2012: RUN AWAY FROM THESE DINGY OLD BAD APARTMENTS. SPIDERS, CREEPY CRAWLIES, BED BUGS EVERYWHERE. THINGS FALL APART all the time. RENT IS SOARING WHILE QUALITY IS PLUMMETING. GET THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT TO THROW OUT ALL YOUR FURNITURE AND PAY FOR YOUR OWN EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE EXTERMINATION.
Also management is horrid and they are incredibly slooooow at getting things done. You have to bother them a trillion times before they do a half assed job at whatever it is they were supposed to do.
Trust me and what the others wrote below...don't lease at Champion Court Apartments.

Feb 2012: The appliances are old and the heating/AC systems were broken. When they do work (after it took an eternity for the maintenance guy to come in), they generate a ridiculously high energy bill. In the winter time they should always be running otherwise they run the risk of freezing. So while you are at home during all or most of winter break, you are really draining your money away. Our winter bill was unbelievably steep. If you are smart and would like to save money then this is NOT the place for you. Actually, if you care about your quality of life then this is not the place for you. I regret being so quick to sign the lease for this place without doing my homework and I'm stuck in this binding contract. I cannot wait till July 31 comes around. I will bolt from this place.
