Hi, Loading...

May 2018: My wife, cat, and dog have lived her for almost two years and we've thoroughly enjoyed it. Wonderful location (just steps away from Lake Johnson), quiet neighbors, and great staff that go out of their way to work with you. We hate to leave, to be honest. High recommended. Review from Google
Mar 2018: I dedicate this review to the staff and maintenance. In every experience they have always been pleasant efficient and very considerate of my belongings in my apartment. also a joy to talk to, thanks! Review from Google
Feb 2018: I don't really know why there are a bunch of negative reviews on here, but I have lived here since 2013 and I love it. We have lived in both a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom. Sales staff/management is awesome and super friendly. The maintenance staff is also great - outside of peak times (August, when everyone moves in), we have had our requests fixed within 24 hours. Most folks who live here are grad students, singles, or small families, and in the 4.5 years we have lived here, we only had one issues with noise (which was promptly taken care after emailing the staff). They are extremely pet friendly and have one of the lowest pet deposit/fees in the area. One of my favorite things, though, is that the whole complex is surrounded by trees/woods, and it is right next to lake Johnson. It may be 10 minutes from downtown, but it feels like you're in Ga Review from Google
Feb 2018: I changed my mind. Aftet trying to pay my rent on the last day it was due but still on time I called and was told they closed 2 minuted ago and they have no drop box (which they must not have on purpose) so they gouged me a 5 % late fee. Then they wouldnt except my check so I had to get a $ order which cost me more time and $. What a pain in the butt! Love the location and some of the staff but the apartments are old and in need of lots of repairs and maintenance so inspect everything before signing anything and have them fix everything(and there was alot)or will wasting alot of your time waiting on maint.men. Dec 2017: ***ROACHES and SILVERFISH*** I’m a grad student from NY and I moved to NC for school so I was unfamiliar with the area. After living here for 5 months I still have issues with pest control - cockroaches and silverfish. I’ve put in service requests and an “exterminator” has been to my apt several times since move-in but nothing has changed. It’s really upsetting to live with these bugs. Another grad student who lives here woke up with a cockroach underneath her in bed. I recently complained to management again and the woman tried to suggest that they’re only wood roaches? As if that was a better roach to live with, since it’s not bc my apt is “dirty.” (I said yeah I know I’m a clean person, thank you.) She even tried to suggest that there were only a few that I’ve seen, so that makes it more OK? I told her no, I’ve seen Review from Google
Dec 2017: I have not even been able to view an apartment, after waiting over an hour and a half and the one person in the office is talking about irrelevant to the lease. Review from Google
Aug 2017: Management is terrible. Was a tenant for 7 years and they didn't agree to me leaving a month prior to end of the lease. Ended up losing 2k thanks to these money grabbing goons. Had to email them 20 times to get them to refund my deposit. AVOID AT ALL COST. Review from Google

Jun 2017: I lived here from august 2015-2016. Maybe some things have changed since then, but I really enjoyed my time living here. Pros: the location is great, right next to lake johnson and the beltway, secluded, grounds are well kept; the apartments only have two stories, so you wont have to climb several flights of stairs; there were rarely problems requiring maintence, but if there were they were always quick and responsive; the office workers were always friendly as well; I never had any bug problems, but I also had a cat. Cons: the apartments are older, the kitchen is very small, so if you cook with someone else you will bump into each other frequently and you might not have enough space if making a complicated dish or if you have several appliances; if you are unloading dishes you cannot access the fridge or the laundry. That is my only complaint Review from Google
May 2017: Management is terrible. Was a tenant for 5 years and they didn't agree to me leaving a month prior to end of the lease. Ended up losing 2k thanks to these money grabbing goons. Review from 5/25/17 on Google
Mar 2017: Pros: Beautiful area and surroundings. Great location walking distance to Lake Johnson. Nice size rooms with walk in closets! Cons: Apartments are peaceful but some noisy neighbors (I guess you'll get that in most apartments). Since these apartment complexes are older the walls are uneven and the floor boards underneath are also uneven in areas. BE PREPARED FOR COCKROACHES!! When it's warm out we had SO MANY cockroaches in our apartment. They actually come from the sheetrock. We had to do our own work to try and seal off pipes under the sink. Also we had a neighbor with his dog CONSTANTLY barking and off the leash. Review from 3/5/17 on Google
May 2016: I Do not recommend This Complex to Anyone We just moved in this weekend and our apartment had not been cleaned (carpets stained, wall dirty, floors dirty, Windows dirty, dusty) they told us someone came and cleaned twice but that was clearly a lie. When I tried to rectify the situation by asking for a place to stay till they cleaned up our apartment they informed me that there is nothing they can do till Tuesday. Seeing as how frustrated I was I went with it and tried to stick it out, the first full night there I swear I saw more roaches than I've ever seen, bugs being in a vacant apartment is one thing but 10-12 roaches is unsanitary. May 2016: Lived here from February 2014 to February 2016. We had an amazing two years here. Sure, there are a few issues, but that's anywhere. First, know what you're getting - an older apartment that is by no means luxury, but is extremely livable, cozy and in an amazing location. You're basically in the woods - hence some of the pest problems, which I'll get to - but also minutes from downtown. We faced Lake Johnson and after Lake Dam Road shut down, it couldn't have been any quieter (minus the occasional motorcycle or sometimes teens messing around in the park). May 2016: Went there to pick up an application for an apartment. When arriving to the office the staff seemed busy but they were having a personal conversation, I waited for them to acknowledge me so they knew I was there, and they then asked me to wait. There was a couple before me that they took to show apartments, it took about 15 minutes for them to go look at the apartments and then another 10 for them to talk about paper etc. Then they left and I continued waiting for someone to bring me back so they could help me. A woman came in and sat down, she then got up and started talking to the staff. they skipped me and took this woman before me, another 15 minutes pass and I was still waiting, no one checked up on me or acknowledged me. Review from 5/8/16 on Google
Feb 2016: First, the good: Office staff has been super nice. Grounds are well kept, maintenance has been prompt every time I had an issue. The apartments are older, smaller, with walls and carpet show their age. Kitchen can range from nice to old, depending on the unit. Review from 2/3/16 on Google
Oct 2015: The office was not honest or helpful. Our neighbors below us smoked illegal drugs all the time and they did nothing to stop it. Also there were so many fees that there should not have been. Would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Review from 10/5/2015 on Google
Sep 2015: I've lived here for several months and I hate it so much. I've never lived in a worse place. It's almost all students and my new upstairs neighbors think it's cool to walk around and make noise all night long... like sunset to sunrise. I can't sleep, at all. The office doesn't care. Nobody cares. People drive too fast in the lot, the parking isn't good, people drink beer while standing in the pool and I've even seen people smoking in the pool using the deck right next to the pool as an ashtray. This place sucks so bad. Review from 9/25/2015 on Google
Jun 2015: The office people are very rude and are never there. I had an appointment at ten to pick up keys and didn't get them til much later because there was only one person there and their phone call seemed to be much more important. They also wouldn't let us into the pool, which is supposed to close at dusk, when it was still two hours til the sun started to set. The picture of a newly renovated apartment has a microwave, but is there ever any truth in advertising? Guess not. Review from 6/17/2015 on Google
Jul 2014: I lived at Walnut Creek for three years, (then moved to Charleston) and I loved it! The staff is friendly and helpful. I rarely put in a maintenance request, but when I did the problem was resolved within a few hours. My apartment was NOT updated, so it all was a little old and the vinyl flooring was coming up on the edges but my rent reflected that and that was the least of my worries. The size of the one bedroom at that price, I would kill for in Charleston. I NEVER had a problem parking, and neither did guests when I had them. I am a "girl" in my mid 20s, living alone, but I never felt unsafe, even with just a dead bolt lock. I won't say there are no sketchy people here, but its not something you should worry about.
