Dec 2020: This place was nice, but the people discriminated against me because I had a noise disturbance on my record 10yrs ago. A freaking noise disturbance?! Are you kidding me? They classified it as a CRIME?! Like what? I paid a fine for throwing a can of juice. I was a college kid and paid a fine for a noise disturbance and they denied me because of my horrible criminal record. This crap doesn’t even come up when employers do a criminal background check. I guess I’m a thug! I have the police report and they wouldn’t even listen. I make over 3.5x the rent and have impeccable rental history. I think it’s because I’m black and I hate saying that!
Jun 2019: Absolutely love it here! The pricing is wonderful compared to what everywhere else in Atlanta is charging for an apartment, and the location just adds on to how great this place is. The staff is always extremely helpful and caring, if you come to rent make sure to talk to Desiree because she really takes pride in her work and it shows! One of the best places I’ve lived so far! The convenience of the location can't be beat, as I can walk to work, Lenox, Phipps, and 4 (yep - four!) different grocery stores. Feb 2019: served in Army for 28 years, lived in 6 States and 2 foreign countries. Last assignment Atlanta - when looking for housing I look for nice apt, friendly office staff, competent maintenance, good food and entertainment nearby - been here (Axial) 21 years - guess I found it !!!! I moved to ATL not really knowing the city and could not have found a better spot to live! The community, staff and location are great and the neighborhood/area has everything I need close + it's safe.
The apartments are spacious and nice. The flooring is gorgeous and there is plenty of closet space. They also come with a full size washer + dryer which I think is important in an apartment but maybe that's just me. My unit also has a pretty spacious patio which adds to the niceness of the spot.
The community is dog friendly which is nice, including bigger dogs which isn't always the case with apartments. Jan 2019: I’ve been living at Axial for over two years and I love it! The apartment updates are gorgeous, the staff and maintenance team are friendly and responsive.
The location is great, in the heart of Buckhead. Walking distance to MARTA, plenty of shops and restaurants.
There’s also more than enough parking spaces and room for guests as well. Very safe, I’m never worried in this area.
Amenities are great and it seems like they’re always trying to improve on what they have.

Jan 2019: Total lack of security, heard gunshots the other night. Gate is always broken and most services are outsourced to a 3rd party so the front staff are useless. Way overpriced for what you get, older building hid by cheap renovations. Make sure you look hard at comparable apartments in the area before making the mistake I did. Review from Google

Water bill is just so expensive. Water pressure is low and takes so long to receive heated water to the shower.

Instead of getting my deposit back, I'm being charged for "damages" to the nasty, brittle, falling-apart pair of blinds that were installed in my apartment. Ironically, I offered to pay to have them replaced less than a year ago so I could enjoy nicer blinds. Management couldn't get it together then, but it's annoying that I'm being charged on the way out. Have a 1 star review. Like others have said, walls are solid and I can never hear any of my neighbors. Almost everyone has a dog too, which is nice. It is also very safe; which I think is important in Atlanta. Also, if you think it is expensive to live here, compare the rent to other places in Buckhead first. Review from GoogleAug 2017: Please read this review and do NOT lease here. I had to live there for 3 years after a divorce. It started out ok, but quickly became uninhabitable. In three years, I never once had a full summer with a functioning air conditioner - it was routinely over 90 degrees inside my 3rd floor unit, despite having $300 power bills. The air conditioning still has never been fixed. When, having little other choice, I had to sign a lease renewal, the leasing office conveniently "lost" my original signed lease before giving me a copy and refused to honor the lease amount - they jacked my rent from the $1300/month I signed to over $1700/month.
Frankly, the only reason I haven't sued them (I'm an attorney) is because (a) I don't want to spend the time and effort to do so and (b) I never want to think about this apartment complex again. Please, pleas Review from GoogleApr 2017: New management, much improved, and awesome new office staff.
I moved here in the summer of 2016, and the management company at the time was what you've probably read in the other reviews - unresponsive and unengaged (though some individual employees were good, it appeared that they weren't well supported).
Since the current company took over at the beginning of 2017, things have really changed. New apron area has been added to the pool area; the complex grounds have been cleaned up; things like air filters and fire systems inside the apartments have been checked (apparently the old company didn't keep documentation consistently).

I've been living at Axial at Buckhead for 5 years and in the last two years they have been taken over by a few new companies, 2 of which were an absolute nightmares. HOWEVER, in 2017 Axial was taken over by a company name Venterra Living and let me be the first to tell you that THEY ARE THE DREAM TEAM!!!!!! Manager Kristen and her team have been sooooo exceedingly kind and professional. There is always someone in the office to help you with anything you need; the maintenance staff is very kind and professional as well.

I've not had the problems others have mentioned. The few maintenance problems I've had were taken care of quickly and effectively. My only issue is the garbage dumpster is full/overflowing.

Feb 2017: You're paying for the location and not a damn thing else. Poor service, outdated amenities, leaking windows when it rains, a plunger is needed with every other flush, AC floods your floors every spring, fridge goes out- people take 3 days to show up Wont be renewing.
