Jun 2019: Just moved in and I am so pleased! The staff is incredible. Rosemary feels like an awesome friend who’s always got my back. Same with Eric. Even Katie the maintenance head is fantastic. The apartment we moved into was a bit behind schedule as far as cleaning and repairs from the previous tenants and they made sure not only were we reimbursed, but the repairs were quick.
I’m gathering most of our neighbors are new tenants, and seem as pleased as I am with the complex. It’s clean, the woods surrounding the property are peaceful, and the only dig I can think of is that parking is tight. I drive a small car so it’s nothing for me.
All and all? I totally recommend this place. Affordable, comfortable, and really just feels like home. Review from Google
Nov 2018: Neighbors Dogs barking for hours all hours. Neighbors leaving food, beer bottles after charcoal grilling on wooden balconies. Cars with flat tires, smashed front ends etc in lot for 2 months and never moved. Refrigerator backordered broken parts...Only been here a couple months Will be moving at end of lease

Jan 2018: Take your money and yourselves somewhere else! This apartment complex is extremely old. Ceiling was like it was going to collapse in any second. Floor was old and badly damaged by water or something. A/C constantly acted up.... the unit had gaps between windows and visual gaps around doors (the unit gets flooded consistently in heavy rain) ; therefore, the unit can never be heated up in winters(Likewise in summer you can’t cool the unit). Not to even mention, my KUB bill went up to 300 dollars/month. Beware they are extremely non-responsive (Won’t answer calls, emails etc in a timely manner). You could have a broken item reported and they don’t come by and fix until weeks later. Roaches, ants, SNAKES, all kinds of insects are crawling in hammond units. just beware... I wish I could give 0 star... BEWARE THEY RAISE THEIR RENT PRI Review from Google
Jan 2017: Went to see the apt. the staffs were push. the apt itself had mold smelling terrible, with even a relatively high rent. With the same amount, you can definitely find many other nice places to live in. Will not consider Hammond. Review from GoogleMay 2016: Lived here for nearly four years. The location is perfect, and the apartments themselves aren't bad, being that they are apartments. I recently rented one of their basement apartments, however, and it just teemed with mold in my bedroom wall. Other than that though, the apartments are spacious and the staff is nice. They just got taken over by a new company, and changed their rent to inflated flat rates, which is why I'm leaving. Well, that, and the mold.

Sunflower has recently been taken over by Rand Property Management, and that has lead to a complete turn around for them as a business and housing facility. Dog breed restrictions do not exist here, which means this is great for all Pitbull owners, including myself. The staff really puts what you have to say into the highest regards, and does their absolute best to fix whatever was wrong. The new management group has done so many renovations already to the property, with a lot more in mind. They're real people, that have been in our shoes at some point, and want to make this a great living experience. Review from Google
Mar 2016: Beware bugs, outdated a/c units (causing nearly $300 kub bill) and fire hazard in attics. I lost my apartment in the fire of 2014 and relocated to a new unit until my lease was finished. I've lived in quite a few apartments around Knoxville and this was by far the worst. Stay away.

Oct 2015: Lived in an apartment next to the maintenance guy and his son. Yes they live together. They chain smoke all the time and when it gets cold they smoke inside. The smell leaks through the wall like nothings there. The maintenance themselves are slow at everything. CAUTION: When looking at these apartments look for leaks and attempted cover up of leaks. They try to paint over it, but it is so noticeable. When I lived there they said it was not a big deal, but the leaks kept happening again and again and they came and "fixed" it every time. We found mold in a corner of the sink, took pictures, then asked them to come look at it.

We have had to wait a few months for a new porch, so we haven't really been able to enjoy that feature. However, our apartment manager has been really accommodating by dropping out rent until that project is completed.
We haven't had many problems. Almost every problem we've had has been fixed right away.

I did decided to go ahead and lease the apartment and on a move in date, have already paid my deposit and first prorated month's rent. Upon receiving news that my work schedule would be changing I called to move my move in dat up a week, which was after the date that they said the apartment would be ready for move in. Both the women who work in the office said they would call me back with a response as to of the apartment would be ready, now a week later have still not received a response. I have called since and left messages and still no one will call me back. I have gone to the payment and looked in the windows and the floors are done.
