Hi, Loading...

Jul 2019: The pool hasn't been usable for over a year now. The dumpsters at my building are completely overflowing. Last night a drug addict walked into my home. The leasing office is never open. On holidays or weekdays so people with regular work schedules never get to use any of the amenities. New management is slow and inefficient. I asked for an air filter for my apartment 3 days ago and no one has shown up to give me one. I expected to get one at the office as I usually do when I ask about one. Review from Google
Jun 2019: The Crest at West End has been purchased by Eller Residential. We hope to improve every aspect of the community. Improvements to the exteriors, interiors and clubhouse are right around the corner! Review from Google
Apr 2019: Pest infested. Maintenance work is shabby and they definitely should tear down and rebuild. Bed bugs in the walls in some buildings... Smdh Review from Google
Nov 2018: Great place to live & friendly staff this use to be a quiet neighborhood now its very active to much nonsense going on here bugs seem to be getting worse and now we have new Management so who knows how it will go. If rent goesvup anymore I will habe to move.I am on a fixed income and can only afford so much . Review from Google
Nov 2018: Love the area! Staff is kind and the spectrum rep is amazing. Review from Google
Nov 2018: This apartment complex is disgusting and roach infested. The kitchens and bathrooms are especially bad, but the bugs seem to have free reign all over the place (see the photo of some of our cabinets). There are other major problems with this place and its management that would also lead me to highly discourage you from considering living here, but the bugs are the most glaring problem. May 2018: Lived here three years... when I first rented my apartment, the rents were around $400. They went up every year. However, there were no positive additions to the property - they painted the pool room blue (who cares?) and made a big stink about it. But the apartments themselves were "meh" at best. In shambles at worst. Maintenance was lovely, as maintenance usually is. They were always friendly and pretty responsive. The front office staff changed hands three times in that many years, and it was always a surprise to see who would greet you - if anyone greeted you at all. They were mostly a collection of catty women who would sooner peer down at their cell phones than open the office door, even if no one else was there. Parking was fine. Laundry was fine - yes, we all shared, but there was never a struggle to find an available washer. The c Review from Google
Apr 2018: The crest is not a community, it is only friendly on the surface. They don't not care about the residents nor will they work with you on any level. Their fees and eviction protocols are unreasonable and akwardly designed in my opion to keep people flowing through. Keeping residents means nothing to them. After 3 years of being a resident I may face eviction over a 40$ discrepancy. Despite the fact that I just handed them nearly a thousand dollars. Their only obligation is to bleed you dry regaurdless of payment history. I have had to spend my own money cleaning the carpet upon move in. issues do not get addressed in a timly matter, the grounds are dirty, but by far the greed and unwillingness to work with residents in any way is by far my biggest issue. I don't recommend the crest to anyone. do not move here! Beware Review from Google

Mar 2018: I give the Crest 4 stars because the woman i love and going to marry lives there. Stop going up on the rent. You are punishing hard working people and leaving them unable to advance within their individual growth. Review from Google
Feb 2018: I live at The Crest, and am specifically upset about the gym. While they have an adequate amount of equipment, most of it doesn't work, and their plans to fix or replace it are far in the future. Review from Google
Dec 2017: I was hopeful , but my credit is bad, do to getting injured and becoming totally disabled . I was even to put double or triple deposit, and still got turned down. Just looking for a place to call home Review from Google
Nov 2017: Just a Uber driver picking up a client and Google insisting I say something. Review from Google
Oct 2017: My experience living here was not 100% negative. It's decently priced for a good-sized space close enough to downtown Carrboro. Also, maintenance issues are taken care of quickly... except the maintenance men will come into your apartment without your permission. I was walked in on naked not once, but twice in two years. And those were just the times I happened to be in the shower. They came in uninvited more often than that, even though I had repeatedly informed the leasing office that I had a cat who was a flight risk. Also pest control was done inside my apartment without my consent, and the property manager tried to tell me that poison traps just spontaneously appeared in my apartment and I didn't hear anybody enter my home in the early morning. The Crest parking lot is also one of very few places in Carrboro where I've been cat-cal Review from Google
Sep 2017: The nicest thing on the property is the rental office. We moved in on a Saturday the carpet wasn’t finished the paint was running down the walls. The roaches run 100 miles per hour and the tenants above us have a babe pstairs who cries all day and the dog parks constantly the walls are paper thin. The area is ok but the property is over priced. They sprayed for bugs 5 or 6 times and it made it worse. It’s infested and needs to be torn down. The management made it seem like they where addressing the problem but it continued. If you want to live with roaches then the crest is for you. But for 850 a month move back towards Raleigh or bite the bullet and pay a few hundred more and live in the heart of Orange County which is Chapel Hill!. We moved out because of the infestation it’s horrible run for the hills not the crest Review from Google
May 2017: DO NOT move in here. Huge bug infestation in their buildings that they do not take care of despite many tenants informing them. Rude, unhelpful management. Office workers are NOT trained on leasing agreements! When I was getting ready to move out, I went to the office to inform the workers I was not renewing my lease, the office worker told me everything was okay after I asked her if she needed anything else from me. When I kept receiving renewal notices I called the office again to tell them, and, once again, they told me that I was good and nothing else was needed. Review from 5/23/17 on Google
May 2017: This is by far the worst apartment I have ever lived in. Management here is HORRIBLE they are rude and do not care about you as a renter. As long as they fill an apartment that's all they care. There are drug deals on the playground and management won't do anything about it. Do not live here if you don't have to. The maintenance guys are the only good thing about this place. They are awesome. Review from 5/14/17 on Google
Dec 2016: Great staff, shabby apartments. You get what you paid for with this place - small, roachy, and shabby. The staff working here are all very nice and helpful, but the quality of the maintenance work and really anything that costs money on the company's part is lacking. Review from 12/3/16 on Google
May 2016: Signed a year lease in 2015 and I am so happy to be gone! #1 First off the roaches are disgusting in this place. They have a guy who comes and sprays but it doesn't work. Every type of food item had to be in a plastic or glass container b/c the roaches are in your cupboards. I think the wood is rotting in the bathrooms and under the kitchen sink and that brings all the roaches. #2 the place is set up like a Red Roof Inn or some other low rent motel. You can hear talking or coughing clear as a bell coming from the hallway #3 They have about 300-400 residents and 6 washers so imagine the fun that is trying to get you wash done at 3am b/c that's the only time the washers are not in use. Feb 2016: I moved in December of 2015. So far, I've had a pretty good experience. One of my neighbors was blasting music for several weeks, but once it was addressed with management, it hasn't been an issue since. I've had a few maintenance requests (the garbage disposal was clogged about a week after getting there, door on the cabinets fell off, water not hot enough, and laundry room hookups extremely dirty). It may sound like a lot, but the issues were always handled extremely promptly. The complex is otherwise quiet and management has proven to be reliable. They also have an option to pay online directly from your bank with automatic payments, which is amazing. Review from 2/29/16 on Apartment Ratings
Oct 2013: I have been living here for over a month now and haven't found any major issues. The utilities are all electric, this is something to consider but at least for now I got my first electric bill and didn't find any surprises. The price is fair given the quality of the place. Definitely the quality is well above other apartment communities that I visited. Yes, I already found a note on my door about inspection on a same-day notice so what another person is saying here is true. I can only hope this is for the good of everybody living here though.
