Apr 2020: Management only cares about MONEY. During this COVID-19 outbreak, management sent out a letter stating that FUTURE residents can cancel their lease if school moves to online. However, they don't give a rats ass about their current residents. Management was EXTREMELY confrontational when asked about it and when told that other facilities are allowing residents to cancel their leases if they wish during this time. My job is on hold indefinitely. I have no way to pay until my job gets back to normal. I can make a payment plan... and be more in debt next semester - I would like to avoid that. Jamal (management) did not want to hear what I had to say and just kept repeating, "You signed a Lease, this conversation is over". It is CRAZY that they are willing to allow next Semester's students out of a lease if classes are online.. but not their current residents Aug 2019: Apartments themselves are spacious and nice. However, the way management handles day to day things is inconvenient and annoying. They have inconsistent cleaning checks, random fees throughout the year that they don't mention, they don't let you control AC/heating (even though its part of utilities you pay $60/month for), and there's horrible parking enforcement that they don't control and do nothing to fix. (I had a parking pass and got booted in the parking garage.) Honestly not a fan and wouldn't live here again lol Review from Google May 2019: Being completely honest, my experience here was pretty bad. don't live here. They advertise this great freshman experience, but it was far from great. I lived in the north tower in a deluxe apartment. Literally a month into living there 6/8 of us moved out because of two people. I had a shared room and my roommate vaped in our bedroom. It strictly says in our contract that no smoking is allowed not only inside but on the property at all. When I went to talk to the office, they didn't do anything. They just called the rest of roommates to verify that she was and then didn't do anything. They are friendly and make you think that they'll help your problems, but as soon as you leave the office they don't have any intention of helping. It's quite frustrating. All my roommates experienced the same thing. My roommate also would lock me out of our SHARED bedroom so she could be with her boyfriend Review from Google May 2019: The hot tub never worked. No tutoring, library, or freshman mentoring. The office staff was unhelpful. Read the fine print: it’s $280 to sell it transfer your contract. In 2019 they raised the rent 35%. We had a really bad experience here. On the flip side, they are nice new apartments. Review from Google Apr 2019: When Advertised, University Towers seems like a great place to live. But in actuality, University Towers is a terrible place to live. The “Hot tub†they talk so highly about in the advertisements is filled with green sludge, the clubhouse has been under construction for months with 0 progress, and the library is in a completely other building a mile away. The structural integrity of the building itself isn’t great, with things like counter tops being broken, to the “brand new†bed sets falling apart at the touch. The cost of rent is outrageous for the quality of apartment. The deluxe rooms come with a washer and dryer that do not work, and when an issue comes up, nothing gets done about it. The worst part of the whole thing is the staff. Issues were addressed to the staff multiple times, about both issues with the apartment itself, and issues with violent roommates, and the staff promising, on numerous occasions, to take care of the issues, both with the apartment complex and roommate, would brush it aside and ignorethe ongoing situation/state of the building Review from Google Apr 2019: Great place to live. Very nice management and super close to campus. Super nice facilities and it even has free Caprisuns. Review from Google Feb 2019: The apartments are clean and well maintained for the most part. Management is amazing and they are fun people. One downfall would be roommates but that isn’t something management can really control but they are always there to solve problems. Feb 2019: Was not cleaned when I moved in, not the nicest workers, rent is too high, rules make you feel like you are still living at home, cleaning checks are too strict, the only good thing about university towers is the fridges and counters. But, the fridge doesn't make ice. and the carpet is brown. Parking is a joke and a half, 8 people in a house is a no go for me. Biggest mistake was moving into university towers.(: Review from Google Feb 2019: I would give -5 stars if it were possible. I've never had such a bad experience. The management does not know what they are doing. I was never notified of what apartment I would be living in or when to come pick up my keys. On move in day I sent a inquiry to them on this matter, to which I was told that my lease didn't start until the next day (contrary to what was written in the contract) in which I could move in. My move in day was on a Saturday and they only take appointments. I was told to come to the office at 10 AM to pick up my keys and find out my room number, however when I arrived the office was closed and no one was there. This was frustrating as I had all my stuff packed and I drove 30 minutes to come pick up the keys. I ended up calling the after-hours line in which some lady told me that "they would put in my request and someone Review from Google Feb 2019: I was going to do two stars, to be nice. But only one will do.
Let's get the good things out of the way: the maintenance guy is cute. Married, but cute. He's also so VERY nice. That's it.
I was SO excited to move into University Towers, and then when I did... I regretted even leaving my house. I feel like I still live at home. You have cleaning checks every month, sure that's fine whatever. They will fail you if you don't even put your name on the paper. Am I in 3rd grade? I don't get it. They are super strict with them to the point where I might as well have my mother standing behind telling me exactly what I'm doing wrong. The parking garage, is the worst. The entrance to the underground parking is so small, that I have to sit and wait in traffic while being honked at because someone is sitting at the entrance also waiting to turn. The car Review from Google Dec 2018: The management is incredible! Lelia, Aubree, and Bailey really care about their tenants and make them feel welcome. Lelia and Aubree really help you with any concerns that you have and go above and beyond to help! They are very professional and knowledgeable and will help you with any questions you have. Overall, the management here is great and I would recommend this place to anyone! Review from Google Nov 2018: Remodeled spacious apartments were great! My daughter doesn't like to come home because she is loving her college life here. We signed the contract in February for her private room so we got a lower rate than those who sign up closer to semester start. Seemed fair compared to other places we looked at. I liked the flat utility rate. I had a miscommunication with the first month's payment because the desk girl didn't give me correct info. They are super nice and try to be helpful. But they still didn't waive the late fee even tho it was their fault. Super close to campus. Thank heaven for the elevator-slow, but functional. Birds poop on your car in the garage. Overall, it seems like a pretty good place to live during your college experience. Review from Google Nov 2018: I have loved my experiences here! The apartments are really nice and super spacious, definitely enough space to live with other people. The office management and staff are really nice and they always have snacks, drinks, and candy in the office that they hand out for Free! They also give away nice water bottles and pens. would recommend this place to any student. Review from Google Nov 2018: The university Towers is a great place to live. The management is great. They care about the residence living within the towers. Great place to move into! Review from Google Nov 2018: This place is newly renovated and looks just as nice as the updated pictures. Not to mention that they often do fun get togethers to get everyone socializing! The apartment is super spacious and management is nice! Review from Google Nov 2018: Lia and Aubree (The Office Girls) are awesome, I love living here! Theirs lots of cutes girls here, a lot of the athletes live on site which is super fun. The apartment towers hold a lot of fun activities including skydiving, snowboarding, and snowball fights! They also give out free pizza, chips, and soda. Review from Google Jun 2018: I have been here a year, and I have had many problems with the management and people working in the offices. For the start I was moved into the wrong complex (as they have a second property near by). Days were not prorated so if you move in on the last day of the month, be prepared to pay for both that month and the next. And most recently, they sold my room. Let me clarify: I had a year long lease, and the management started selling leases in February for the upcoming fall. And even though I currently reside here, my room, was leased for fall. No heads up was given except from an email that offered to renew a lease - IN JANUARY. When my lease was 45% of the way through, is when they expected me to resign. When I went to discuss renewing about two months before the end of my lease I found out my room has already been sold. The convenience o Review from Google Apr 2018: Whatever you do, DO NOT sign a lease at University Towers. Management is absolutely terrible. They really deserve 0 stars.
I have been ignored and lied to several times by the office staff, and I hadn't even moved in yet. Each person I talked to gave me a completely different story and nobody really seemed to know what they were doing. It got so bad that I decided I didn't even want to live there anymore, so I sold my contract.
I was told by Jessica that everything went through and was finalized, and that my deposit refund was in the mail. Over a month later, I still had not received my deposit check, so I called the office again. Bailey told me that my refund had never been sent out, but that she would make sure it got done today. About two hours later, I received a voicemail from University Towers saying that I owed them $172.
I called Review from Google Feb 2018: Recently we had a cleaning check and we all cleaned everything in our apartment but apparently I have to pay $30 just because we didn’t clean the oven good enough. I already have to pay $375 a month for a shared room and they want me to pay another $30 for not cleaning an oven right. Like it’s ridiculous. Do not recommend anyone living here. Unless you’re rich and can pay $475-$375 monthly for a shared room. Review from Google Nov 2017: I love living here! Coming straight from the farm, I was afraid to move to the city but University Towers has made it great! Since I've lived here we've gotten new counter tops, sinks with lights in them, new appliances, and they just finished putting in new flooring in the hall. Lia and Julia in the office are amazing! They really care about the residents and will do anything they can to make sure you're happy living here. Review from Google Oct 2017: University Towers is great! They give you an option if you want a private or a shared room. The benefits are amazing like having fixed utilities so you don't have to overpay for Internet and cable, or gas and water because they're all included in utilities! The yoga room and the gym are my faves!! Great place to live, especially if you're a college student and can’t commute! Review from Google Oct 2017: University Towers is an outstanding complex. It absolutely blows the competition out of the water. It's location is optimal being right next to UVU and the free UTA bus stop. Maintenance and the BRAND NEW staff has been outstanding, actually caring, and comes to help within the next day after putting in a maintenance request, they do their very best to fix things immediately and answer any questions anyone may have. Building a social life here has been super easy. I luckily started my freshman year college living here and from the second I moved in, Lia, the new property manager has been outstanding. Everything I needed was awesome, I was super worried about the old reviews that worried me to pull out but I’m glad I came here and I’ve been blessed to have such a clean and smoothly ran property. Overall, University Towers it the most well r Review from Google Oct 2017: University Towers was the first place I moved after moving out of my parents' place and I wouldn't change anything. Being from out of state, this is the perfect place for someone like me, someone who wants a calm place to come home to, yet I really wanted a great social life. It's super easy to make friends, the neighbors are awesome! There is a lot of potential here with the newly renovated units! The leasing office staff is amazing, they’re newly in, and super relatable. I couldn’t be more excited to stay here, and I still have never had an issue. Review from Google Oct 2017: I really like it here! I moved in in August and so far its gone very smoothly. The people in the office are really helpful, and under the new management a lot of good things are happening. All of the apartments are being renovated too. I just moved into one and they are AMAZING! They painted all the walls white instead of the brownish color they were before and it makes them so much brighter. We got new countertops and appliances too. I know the employees are also working on having super fun events to get people involved. So far we've had some pretty fun ones. I would recommend this place for sure! Review from Google Oct 2017: It’s a wonderful living space love all the office people super friendly an nice, it’s way better then before with the new management love this place.
