Apr 2018: Apartment was great a year ago. Since the new company has taken over, it has become terrible.Maintenance people leave their job incomplete and in a hurry to run. Pest control service is permanently stopped. Front desk task is extremely rude. It has become difficult to talk with them regarding our issues as they just circle around the solution and don"t get the job done unless we visit them 5 or 6 times. And they are charging 25$ for gate key which is way too much as most of the people were fine with the numeric system. Review from Google
Apr 2018: I've been living here for two years, and overall it's been a fairly good experience for the price. My apartment is nice, we got lucky with brand new carpets when we moved in. The pools and gym are very nice as well. However, and especially with the new management, don't believe the hype. What I mean is, these apartments are old and have structural problems, no matter how many "renovations" they do. It's frustrating to see how they've spent a whole lot of money on making the leasing office look like an Ikea ad, but the apartments themselves still have many problems. My electricity and air conditioner have been off several times. The maintenance people are helpful, but it's hit or miss on whether they will come. Sometimes you have to harass the office several times before someone comes, and even then, I've had incidents where someone didn't come Review from Google
Apr 2018: The coustomer service was amazing. My tour guide was Ava Summers, she showed us every inch of the property and was amazing assisting us with the application process. The property was beautiful!!!! Review from Google
Apr 2018: You gotta have lived in Hell b4 if you like this place. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Paper thin walls & ceilings that there were MAJOR noise issues, car break-ins, TRASH piled up in open dumpsters & in front of compactors, residents who didn't keep the grounds clean, so many non-residents taking residential parking spaces, ROACHES, dirty crime-ridden neighborhood w/ sirens blasting daily & nightly, crappy maintenance dept, filthy ac/heating unit in the apt, water backed up in sink when upstairs neighbors ran their dishwasher, office SHORT STAFFED so phone calls not answered & long office waits just to ask a question, no ceiling fans, filthy windows, etc. don't have a weekend maintenance emergency-- you'll have to wait till Monday. Being a minority, I welcomed the diversity (although almost no whites), but I welcomed little else about this severely ov Review from Google
Apr 2018: Would give 0 stars if it was an option. I have to be honest and say that I am not a tenant of Sunstone Palms- but I just spent $75 and a few weeks of my time being mislead. I was told that I could move into an apartment that fit my budget on a certain day, and was then told to apply for the apartment (a $75 fee) if I wanted to secure it. I applied, and was approved that day to move in on a set day. Three weeks later, I am now getting an e-mail that the agreed upon day is not available, and if I want to move into the apartment on that day I will need to pay an additional $135 per month in rent. The apartment I applied for has a move-in day that I cannot feasibly manage, so I would have to pay an additional $305 in pro-rated fees. I spoke to an attorney in the family who reported that this is a classic scheme to get the application fee and then Review from Google
Apr 2018: Was told I was approved and will receive a call back for deposit and moving date. I missed my move date as I was going to start a new job in Tampa and am still waiting for a call. I have reached out the the apartments several times and they never answer. You guys have completely wasted my time and my money. Review from Google
Mar 2018: THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY don't RETURN CALLS WHEN THEY PROMISE TOO OR CARE ABOUT YOUR CONCERNS. I DO not recommend MOVING THERE IF YOU WANT A PEACE OF MIND. Review from Google
Feb 2018: I lived here for 5 months, in that time: - the two buildings next to mine burned to the ground a couple months apart in unrelated fires - my air conditioning unit broke 4 times. 4 times in 5 months. the last time, they didn't even bother fixing it. they gave me a tiny portable (which gave off a smell) and shoved it in the window. - had roaches all day every day despite maintaining a clean home and setting up my own roach traps when their pest control did nothing - had ants - someone left my porch closet unlocked and open without my knowledge or permission - witnessed SO. MANY. LOUD. FIGHTS. that my neighbors had outside our front doors, the best being a 4:30 AM argument that included the phrase "GIVE ME MY F---ING MONEY" shouted repeatedly - the walls are paper thin. I knew way more than I ever wanted to know about my neighbors. - the h Review from Google

Feb 2018: The only reason I’m giving one star is because it’s required. We only moved in last Saturday but so far this has been the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with an apartment. We are paying over $1200 a month for a two bedroom apartment that includes a washer and dryer. Since moving in, neither the washer or dryer has worked. I put in a ticket Monday, called the office and put another ticket in on Tuesday, sent an email on Wednesday, and still can’t use my washer and dryer. I requested that rent be adjusted for every day that the washer and dryer wasn’t fixed, only to be met with a nasty attitude, and was told that if I wanted to speak with someone else that I needed to walk over to the office and ask again. These people NEVER answer the phone, so don’t even bother. Worst customer service ever. And the apartments are not even Review from Google
Feb 2018: This place used to be a decent place but after this new company bought it. They fired the full time staff that were helpful, now all you get is disrespectful under the breath comments when an issue comes up. Like today, I wake up and go to walk my dog to find out that they are doing pavement work but didn’t inform any of the residents so they are towing everyone’s cars. I ho in the office and the blind #%^*+ starts giving me an attitude. This place is WAY over priced. I can not wait until my lease is up. I’ve lived here for 2 1/2 years and it has gone to #%^*. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else. Review from Google
Feb 2018: "Managers" who never answer the phone. A "maintenance staff" that never responds to calls while they drive their goofy, golf carts in circles all day. I've been calling for 3 weeks about a broken toilet and air conditioning! This place is a train wreck! Review from Google
Jan 2018: I have lived in the same apartment for the past three years. For the first two years (when the complex was called University Club and then Cordova) I didn't have any issues. If something needed fixed I could call the office (they would actually answer) and the problem would be fixed same day or the next at the very latest. If the complex needed to do work/turn off water/enter the apartment, they gave me plenty of notice to make other arrangements as I work nights and am generally asleep during their working hours. This past year with this complex under the management of Radco DBA Sunstone Palms I have had the worst customer service experience. Not only does the office NEVER answer the phone, but also I have had the upstairs apartment bathtub leaking into my tub for the past 4 months or so and have put in multiple work orders to get the issue Review from Google
Dec 2017: Update December 29, 2017 Everything worked out. Thanks to Roy and Melissa. Roy went above and beyond by finalizing the lease after hours. I drive in from Texas and he came in after hours to complete the lease and get me into the apartment. That's great customer service. Thank you Roy! December 20, 2018 As of right now I am disappointed. They just don't call back. Trying to get an apartment online from out of state is difficult and frustrating. Poor customer service does not help. (I will update on my experience.) December 21, 2017 I had to call their corporate office. After a bit of follow up of my own they finally answered. I got the apartment requested. They said they would have the paperwork to sign the lease online and all other pertinent documents. It's now 2 pm, nothing yet. don't make promises you can't keep. December 21, 2017 Review from Google
Dec 2017: Facilities are horrible.. They were only concerned about there outer beauty of the apartment, does not even care about the maintenance inside the house (Carpets, Air conditioner, liking water ,Refrigerator etc etc). I have complained so many times but no one has taken any action!!! The new staffs are horrible!!! Review from Google
Dec 2017: This place seems good for the price but I would not recommend this complex to anyone I care about. I moved into this apartment when it was still called University Club in 2016 and have seen very little improvement even though 2 different property management companies have attempted to salvage the place. If anything, I have suffered more inconveniences and damages since it became Sunstone Palms than ever before; the rent has raised since RADCO began managing the complex and the conditions have gotten worse. They say they are attempting to improve the complex but for months on end there has been construction, machinery, and garbage everywhere as well as industrial dumpsters blocking tons of parking spots. As far as the units, there are roaches everywhere - I get it, this is Florida and there are pests but we keep our apartment clean and discard Review from Google
Oct 2017: Been a resident for over 2 years. Never late on rent and I get treated like I am a begger. I have been tying to downsize my apartment for 2 months doing a transfer but getting the run around. Now they filled all the one bed rooms and trying to make me stay while charging me more and waiting for a transfer. Now during business and hours just got yelled at by the lady in the office because she locked the office during business hours because she was eating her lunch. I have 3 active maitence tickets I'm still waiting on for the past 2 months. This is no way to be treated. They still haven't called me back to figure out if I'm re singing my lease or not and I leave voice mails daily. Beware Review from Google
Sep 2017: Dominican wana be painters are predators, show no respect to female minors, or married women. The morning security guard also holds incoming residents at the gate while he chats with females. Very bad place.
Jul 2017: The staff is good. Elle is the sweetest of all. She is amazing. She genuinely cares for her residents. She make sure all our needs are met. Before I moved to Tampa I was not sure where to move and looked for apartments and called Cordova apartments(Now it is called Sunstone palms apartments), I was not sure about the location but Elle assisted me she gave me all the details and she was very helpful. The day I moved though she was not working on that day even then she came to the office to make ours proceedings done. She is always smiling and positive. She is truly the best leasing consultant there is. The community is gorgeous and its a quiet gated area. Maintenance is on time. There are roaches but living in a place like Florida it is quite common and on every Wednesday if you require there is a free pest control.A beautiful brand new gym Review from Google
May 2017: In general: 1- expensive monthly rent (a 525 ft costs 800$ / month without electricity). 2- unfriendly maintenance guys. 3- old buildings 4- residents smoke a lot. 5- too much noise. 6- most of apts do not have an installed washing machine and drier, you have to use the clothe care outside your apt. 7- very bad fitness center. However, there are working on new one. 7- near to USF bus stop. 8- free parking Review from 5/23/17 on Google
May 2017: My daughter has lived here for over a year. Typical maintenance issues. Good security. Clean, safe environment. My daughter loves the dog park which separates big from little dogs. Review from 5/15/17 on Google
May 2017: This complex does not deserve even one star (had to check one star so I could post my comment). It is horrible. Over expensive for the quality of apartments. The office staff are rude, in particularly a Hispanic female that just started working in the leasing office. She is sarcastic, unprofessional, and unhelpful; treats people like crap (that is why she will get treated like trash). Most residents smoke marijuana in public (complex alley ways, dog and children parks, pools, and on their apartment porches). The maintenance staff are also useless and unfriendly. Review from 5/12/17 on Google
Apr 2017: Place is pretty decent. I've lived her for over two years. In the beginning I had a horrible bug problem it since been fixed. The office staff is pretty good. I live Alex he's always friendly and works fast to help to resolve any I have. I'm not too fun of the gate or the nose from the surrounding area but if you're a student with no car, you'll be in a good location. The Bulls Runner has a stop spot right in front of the complex and there's plenty of food and stores and a mall right up the street. Review from 4/18/17 on Google
Apr 2017: I and my husband moved in almost 3 weeks ago. This is the second time we came to the US but the first time we have been in Tampa. Before renting the apartment, we had some concerns. The leasing office personnels are so friendly. Also, today we had a problem with our apartment. My husband told them and in 15 minutes maintenance came and fixed it. Thank you! Review from 4/3/17 on Google
Mar 2017: I went to visit my friend at Cordova Apartments during my visit there, I got a flat tire and called road side assistance. I parked my vehicle in front of the leasing office parking lot where over night parking is not allowed. I have approached the security officer (Paramount Security) and explained the situation where they given me permission to park the vehicle until the two truck is arrived. My roadside assistance arrived exactly in an hour and found my car was impounded. Review from 3/14/17 on Google
Dec 2016: Read all the negative reviews before moving in. People need to understand that pest problems usually reflect the tenants. Two months in and I have yet to see anything in my townhome. Townhomes are very very spacious but they don't have any photos of them online or models. I'm happy with my choice. Security constantly patrols the property and it has been pretty quiet. My car got hit about a week ago and the cameras did not catch my area. However, 2-3 of the guards checked cars for damage for me. can't blame the complex for some jerks who can't take responsibility for their mistake. I look forward to my time here.
