Feb 2020: it is pretty good except you don’t get your money worth on two big issues:
1. It isn’t really a gated or secure community. The gates are open night and day at least half the time, and you rarely see any security patrols.
2. The pool isn’t heated and it’s freezing even in the summer. If you complain they say the heater is “brokenâ€. Well, it has been “broken†the whole two years I lived here. I just learned that if you tell them that you want the heat on for some event, they will do it. For example if you are having two friends come over and you want to swim on a Saturday tell them a few days ahead of that and they will warm it up. Of course they don’t tell residents this. I learned it by talking to former manager at Lodges who had left the place for a better job. So make them turn the heat on and get the amenity they sold you.
Jun 2019: I took a tour and found the apartments and amenities to be surprisingly good. The prices seemed a little high but the apartments were spacious and clean. The amenities included a theatre room, massive pool, large lake, dog park, gym and lounge area. Review from GoogleMay 2019: I lived at The Lodge for 3 years and loved everything about it. May 2019: I'm moving out after living here for 3 years. This is the best place I've lived. Safe community. I could go to the gym after midnight or run around the lake at night with no issues. Walls are THICK! Bush Gardens is right across and in the summer they pop fireworks sometimes. I have a small pup and was concerned about the noise. It wasn't an even issue. It was a relaxing 3 years. Apr 2019: I moved here last year. It is a really safe and beautiful apartment and has very nice fitting facilities. Officers are always helpful and the room facility maintenance is very quick. We worked with Dianne and she made the posses very easy. She was beyond helpful moving into our new home! We just got out of a horrid experience with another complex nearby and I can say the professionalism shown by the staff is excellent. The path around the lake is great for walking dogs. Super clean property and phenomenal dog park! I 10/10 recommended moving here. I hope to stay with the lodge at lake crest for as long as possible! We have received two notice from the leasing office, but the office didn't survey the whole thing then they sent the letter to us easily. So if anyone complaint us, then you can confirm that is my fault without any survey?? Someone thought we have loud stomping and heavy walking at the midnight. At the first time, someone complained that we held a party at night, but we didn't. And the report showed that is a mistake. This is the second time we still received a letter from the leasing office without any survey and apologize!!!!! I feel very disappointed and sad!!!Jan 2019: They have good amenities and facilities but unfortunately the management could be much better, the community gate is broke for more than 2 months which mean no security and the area around the complex is not that safe and the complex has no surveillance cameras many thefts of cars and bicycles were stolen although the rent is very high we expect better service and more secure community. I moved into this apartment unseen because of a quick work relocation but when I moved in there was a start up kit for me like toilet paper, dish soap and things like that to get me started . Also not to mention the helpfulness of the staff. You may read other posts that say they had horrible service while staying here. I dont see how because with the 6 months that I lived there the ladies at the front desk were nothing but helpful. The reason for moving was due to work not because of the complex. Also the maintenance team was very responsive with after hour calls and scheduled work orders. The complex is safe and close to down town Greenville, uber rides are relatively cheap. I do not know what the price of the apartment is at this time but when I stayed it was fair priced based on other apartment complexes. People mostly keep to themselves but are friendly and the community events they hold are fun. They are dog friendly and love our big dog. The pool is beautiful and the gym, though small, has pretty much all you'd need and is open 24 hours. The grounds are well-maintained and we love having a lake to walk around and seeing the birds. It's a little more expensive than the neighboring communities but we feel it's worth it for the amenities and security. Review from Google
Apr 2018: My boyfriend and I just renewed my lease at Lodge last week, we really love it here! We moved from out of state from NY, and really liked the grounds and buildings right from our first visit. On our apartment search this complex was by far the cleanest.
They have great management and maintenance staff that are extremely attentive. The maintenance staff is fast to fix any issues you're having, and you can use an app to submit any requests.
There are young students that live in here so sometimes people can create a mess but the staff is very quick to clean up, which is much appreciated. Despite the generally younger demographic I am rarely if ever disturbed by noise.

The apartment was beautiful when I moved in and every maintenance request I have submitted has been taken care of quickly and efficiently. The grounds are beautifully kept and there is a great pool and club house area with gym for all residents to use, I also appreciate that it is a gated community as well. My lease renewal process was very smooth. I moved to Tampa from out of state and did not have the opportunity to review the apartment before I moved in and I could not be more pleased with The Lodge at Lakecrest. Review from Google
Jan 2018: Living at The Lodge has been a wonderful experience! The community feels like a little neighborhood and reminds me of my home in Chicago, in regards to the townhomes. It’s very peaceful here, enough to enjoy your morning coffee sitting on your front porch before work. The events hosted by the office go the extra mile to make it feel like a real family here. The gift wrapping station at Christmastime in particular was my favorite. It felt really special getting to decorate my family’s presents with ribbons and bows that I usually don’t think to use. The staff have all been extremely kind and welcoming, and I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else in this area. The online maintenance request system is very convenient and management responds promptly to any issues and have delivered exceptional service to date.
