Oct 2019: The office was never open. The maintenance staff was excellent. The apartment itself was spacious considering how much the rent was. Our old apartment did not have central air, so that was a bummer. But seriously...the office was never open. If you ever needed to get in touch with the office, they were bad at returning calls and the office was never open. I am glad to say I have not lived here for a couple years now, hopefully things have gotten better. The amenities are excellent, sitting areas, dog park, pool, etc. everything you’d want or need.
And I can’t say enough about the staff, if I need anything, maintenance, copies of paperwork, anything, they could not be more helpful.
As someone who dreaded the thought of apartment living, this complex has completely changed my mind.

Apr 2019: I had an awesome experience living at Colonial Parke. Everyone was very friendly. The Maintenance crew always helped at a timely manner. Dec 2018: This is a place that I have called home for 5 years. I lived here the first time for 2 years, moved away from NC, then came back and moved here again. The staff is friendly and they seem to be getting more people working in the office so you can contact someone if you need to. The groundskeepers keep this place beautiful and they are always working on improving it. I love seeing flowers and roses all year long. The pool is nice and well kept. It isn't monitored so half the time there are people smoking and drinking there. Really, the only negatives are the other people here. I wish more people in the world had respect and love for their neighbors. All in all, this is the best value you can find in this area. Period. Dec 2018: Older apartments built in the 70's, so there's no Central air - wall unit for heat and AC and baseboard heating. Management is friendly, maintenance requests are efficiently handled. Neighborhood is safe and quiet.
We occasionally hear trains or planes at night.
Close to main streets but set back in the trees a bit.

Feb 2018: It's been a great home. The staff has always been very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The size of the apartment that you get for your money.is a great value. A good place to stay with probably the best apartment I ever had. apartments are updated with cool new cupboards at a nice budgeted price. maintenance provides expedient service and peaceful surroundings. One negative is that the laundry room has open doors 24 7 so anyone can walk in and there is no A/C only ceiling fans. Overall I am happy with the apartment, you will not find a 2 bedroom elsewhere in Wilmington for the price they are here. They thoroughly review the applicants as they did with me and I think it helps to create a more friendly and respectable environment. I had to add to this post to reaffirm what I said before. I recently had an issue with my toilet. I called and had to leave a voicemail about this issue. I must say that I was pleased that maintenance was at my door within the hour to fix my problem. This just goes to show you that there is a place where you can live where the staff will make you a priority. I recommend Colonial Parke to anyone in the Wilmington area. Nov 2017: Office staff is just awful. You never see the property manager just office assistant and she is the rudest person who works for the complex. All they care about is their paycheck not the renters. No heat in bathrooms, paint inside sucks, the laundry room is always out of service, the office is hardly ever open, and the water pressure isn’t the best. I’ve lived here for almost 2 years and I don’t recommend it. Don’t be fooled by the complex staff writing 4-5 star reviews. For the upgrades and the location the rent was very reasonable. It was quiet, and the grounds were kept pretty. Everyone was very friendly.
