Hi, Loading...

Mar 2018: 1. Utilities are not anywhere near the “estimated total” they tell you the units usually are. 2. The gate doesn’t do anything because they leave it open all the time. 3. Front office staff are horribly rude. Every time I’ve called with questions it’s been because staff will tell me one thing, then another. Communication is obviously lacking among the staff. Then when you call to try and figure out correct information they tell you your pretty much stupid for not knowing then proceed to argue with you about how your wrong. Literally told by a woman named Stephanie, “no nobody told you that”.... So I’m lying? why would I lie about something I’m trying to figure out?? Sorry for being a tenant that pays money! 4. Horrible mailing system 5. Trash doesn’t come every night and for paying a boat load for trash valet, they better c Review from Google
Feb 2018: I would give this place negative stars if that were an option. From the first month I moved in I was greeted with several problems including a never ending cockroach infestation. It was disgusting and the "pest control" didn't help whatsoever and the problem was only fixed when we ourselves bug bombed the apartment. Next, our electric bill was OVER $200 the first month. I have lived in other apartment complexes and never had a bill over $90 (even in the summer). When I approached the office staff that suggest that we turned off our ceiling fans (idiots). When I insisted that it must be the air conditioning unit they said they would look into it and never did. The next month when we didn't run the AC our bill was $70. Next, one evening after work I come home to probably a 1000 ants swarming the window in the kitchen and I realized that the wind Review from Google
Jan 2018: The individual in building 1306 apt# 522 is a prostitute, which is too close for comfort. I'm tired of the foot traffic and disgusting male moaning sporadically throughout the night. There are times in the middle of the night/early morning "her guys" knock at my door thinking it's hers. I wont even mention the domestic violence I hear. Police were just here 01/13/2018, yes that recent! Just a sincerely aggrevated tenant! Review from Google
Dec 2017: RENTERS BEWARE! This apartment complex is not what it advertises it to be. The complex advertises itself as a gated community, ensuring the safety of it's residents and their property. As the other many reviewers have stated, the gate has not been working for over a year. Anyone can come in and do anything because even the cameras are not reliable. There has been numerous car break-ins, and how does the office staff respond? They tell you that it is your responsibility. They don't apologize nor do they tell you what they're going to do to stop these incidents from happening. The only times I have seen the gates to be "operational" was during peak seasons to sign new leasers. After a week or so, the gates are back to staying open for any non-resident members to come on through. This has false advertisement written all over it. The pro Review from Google
Oct 2017: I recently moved into the apartments at Piedmont at Ivy Meadow and I have to say, I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience thus far. Stephanie was the staff member that assisted me ans she did an exceptional job. I came in to view the apartments on a busy Saturday. I was looking to apply for the apartments but I was a little unsure. Stephanie was very professional as she assisted me and others. The service, along with the beautiful community, was all I needed to know that I had to apply for this to be my new home. I applied and I was approved! Living in the community has been very nice. It is conveniently located to all of my favorite places in the university area and it is over all very welcoming from staff to residents! I am satisfied with my new home! Review from Google
Oct 2017: I gave three stars because I’ve only lived here for a few months. It’s easy to write a review when things don’t go well than it is when things DO go well. My experience was and has been a very pleasant one. From the moment I called on the phone to schedule an appointment to the staff remembering my name on the day of the appointment just by me saying “Hi, I have an appointment today”, to the help and accommodations they made for me. My situation was peculiar because I was moving here from another state and didn’t have much time to do anything. They were able to get my application going and approved and communicated with me throughout my drive back to Ohio, just to make sure I had everything I needed. Living here has been great for me. I have had no complaints whatsoever. I have an extensive background in customer service, so wh Review from Google
Oct 2017: I have recently moved out of the Piedmont at Ivy Meadow, and I've had a less than exceptional experience here. While my first few months living here were relatively pleasant, things slowly lowered in quality as my roommate and myself's lease went on. My biggest issue was with how we were treated after moving out. There was some damage to the apartment, which I will take full responsibility for, and the Piedmont had every right to charge me for repairs. However, rather than notifying me or my roommate about these charges, they hired a bill collector to go after us, who continued to harass us for several months. We first got the charge from the bill collector with no sort of explanation of what we were being charged for, other than they were sent by the Piedmont at Ivy Meadow. I went into the office to request an itemized receipt to make s Review from Google
Mar 2017: I absolutely love this complex. The staff is very friendly, the maintenance crew is very diligent and responsive in terms of time frame to get back to you, the complex is neat and clean. I'm absolutely grateful to the staff and hope to be here for sometime! Review from 3/13/17 on Google

Jan 2017: Front entrance gates NEVER 're always broken and open. Actual apartments are beautiful (one of the major things keeping us). Office staff typically seems bothered when asked for help, seems like you never know if you'll be greeted in a friendly way or as if you're bothering them. Review from 1/2/17 on Apartment Ratings
Dec 2016: My son and friend were roommates, students at UNCC. They didn't experience many problems but my complaint is AFTERWARDS, "I" personally made sure my son and friend cleaned the apt well to recover their security deposit back. Once done, "I" personally inspected the place (I managed apt/condo complexes in Los Angeles for many years) and did a complete walk-thru. Everything was left as received. I was told the boys would receive their security deposit back within 2 months. They did, indeed, for only $11.45! You bet this Mom is furious!! 2 guys cleaning as well as they did to then get insulted and demeaned for their effort for $11.45 is horrible! My mistake...not doing a "walk-thru" with the complex due to my busy schedule! Make sure to walk-thru and document with them getting their signature once completed so they can not STEAL your money legally.
Dec 2016: It had been a great environment so far allot peace and quietness. My unit is quiet but did get reported by someone a noise ordinance in which i was disappointed with because I do not bother no one and allot of emergency situation of maintenance call to my unit in the past month with my air condition unit water heater and damage from upstairs unit . But overall a good community. Review from 12/28/16 on Apartment Ratings
Dec 2016: Great experience at the Piedmont at Ivy Meadow, I have lived here for two years. Any service needs I've had have been dealt with promptly. The staff are always friendly and many remember my name when I come in the office. Great place to live, I would recommend! Review from 12/9/16 on Apartment Ratings
May 2016: omplex will do whatever they can to squeeze money out of you. I have been here for almost 3 years and I will NOT be renewing. For the price I'd go elsewhere (and I am). I have never felt appreciated as a resident here and it's sad. The complex looks welcoming and like home, but that is the opposite of how it is to truly live here. Sink holes that are throughout the complex and have not been fixed (been like this for about a month), my neighbors smoke marijuana on their patio and it smells disgusting, stinky trash being left out by neighbors (we pay $15 a month trash), forced to pay an administrative fee for new billing company (they changed without consent ofhe residents), staff is rude and it always seems like a burden for them to do anything for you. Review from 5/3/16 on Google
Apr 2016: Long time ago it was at least a little bit decent, every year is worst, the staff gets upset if you bring out a problem that your old apartment has because they only painted them but that are old. I would not recommend this complex to anybody. Review from 4/25/16 on Google
Apr 2016: This place looks nice on the outside, has a nice pool and club house, but there are so many problems. The staff is knowledgeable, there are two growing sink holes in the parking areas that have not been fixed for weeks, and the maintenance staff spends more time smoking than actually working. The property is under new management so I am hopeful for some changes but I'm ready to move out. This place rips off college students and I would not recommend it. Review from 4/2/16 on Google
Dec 2015: I have lived at the Peidmont for almost 2 years and it is by far one of the bestbolaces to live in University. I have been at other good places but i love it here the best. The staff leaves you be and lets you live but are always there to help when needed. The community is clean and friendly and i rarely hear any neighbors. They always have communtiy events and its just a lot of fun and safe at the same time. It would be very hard to ever leave period! They even credited me some towards rent when i was patient with new software and i didnt even ask! Love this place!
Apr 2015: Do not. I repeat DO NOT stay here. Worst experience ever. I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy. They good reviews on here are done by the staff themselves. They go around asking residents to come on here to leave good reviews for them- and when all else fails they take it into their own hands. Why? Because they want people to believe this place isn't as bad as what the real residents are saying - they need the money from naive students and young adults.... or how else would they get paid? I have had the worst experience here. They are good at being fake and persuading you this isn't a bad place to live. Not bad (as in ghetto bad) but not good (definitely not worth what they charge.) Feb 2015: I may be biased because I came from the true hell that is The Edge, but I've loved my stay here at Piedmont. The staff doesn't bother me unless I submit a service request, I never hear ruckus outside like most other complexes and most importantly I always feel safe here. The prices for a one bedroom are also pretty great considering other apartments. I wish I could stay here another year, but I have to move somewhere closer to downtown because traffic is so horrible. I'd love to just pick up the complex and move it with me. Review from 2/12/15 on Apartment Ratings
Nov 2014: The good reviews on this site for this place is done by the staff that work there personally. It's sad. I hate to see people who work hard for their money and expect a decent place to come home to at the end of the day, fall into this trap. When I first toured, I thought- wow, what a nice place, and the staff even seemed nice. Not long after, only to find out I was about to start living a living nightmare! don't believe any of the good bs on this site. It's all fake. I have been through hell with this place, charging me for any and everything and the apartments are very cheaply made. Review from 11/7/14 on Apartment Ratings
