Looking for a roommate. My name is Alisa. I am a History PhD student.
You will get 2 rooms on the second floor. We will share the same bathroom (on the second floor) and kitchen (on the first floor) + part of the living room (also on the first floor). The house is located in the Milwaukee Avenue Historic District (its really quiet). All the neighbors are very ❤️lovely and friendly. Before the pandemic we even had neighborhood gatherings. The landlady is always willing to help and quick to respond. The rent is $ + utilities (~$). You should also be good with cats. My big, adorable and super friendly cat Laddy is also a tenant here.
I am looking for someone 🎇neat, responsible and respectful. My previous roommate... let me put it this way: our view of a shared space was completely different, and I just cant go through this again. Therefore, I am looking for someone who will treat this place well, e.g., although your 2 rooms is your business, we will have a bathroom 🎇cleaning schedule because we share it. Same about the kitchen and part of the living room. There is a chimney that I am looking forward to using this winter (I couldnt do it last winter because my roommate and I didnt really talk.)
I really hope that you and I will be much better roommates. I am mostly interested to hear from someone who is also a PhD student, but I know there are very responsible undergrads, so you, too, are welcome to email me.
If you feel it can be a great match for you, please email me some info about yourself (your occupation and your interests), what your schedule is like usually, and if you have any questions. Keep in mind that both me and my landlady would ❤️love to talk to you and get to know you better before signing the lease (its a one year lease). Let me know if you have any questions.
Discrimination is not nice and not lawful. Preferences can be made if you are sharing the same living space, but make sure you check the laws to see what applies to you.
