May 2019: My father has lived here for 10 years and has a new neighbor who disturbs my now ill father daily. He has went to Tammy the property manager on numerous occasions and she has yet to say anything to him. I myself have sat here and listened to the noise for well over 8 mos the male neighbor makes walking across the floor. Nothing is pleasant about it. I will be contacting corporate, because this has been going on way to long. Review from Google

I will greatly miss living in a what I now know was a very reasonably priced 2 bedroom 900 sq ft apartment. The manager is strict but I think fair about how she wants the place. I was given some leeway about a few things which normally would have been frowned on but I had decent reasons and kept my nose clean. I didnt really have any problems with other tenants other than fair complaints about noise or vehicles in the wrong spot and they mostly kept to themselves. If I didnt have to leave Ga for job opportunities I would have stayed on. Review from Google

They also do short term leases that are affordable, so that was perfect for us. Tammy in the office is so nice and helpful! She really does a great job and made our move in and move out smooth. The property is kept tidy, is gated, never heard our neighbors, and we felt safe living there. It is close to downtown as well! We would definitely recommend living at Athens Highlands. I've lived in other apartment complexes where management was terrible or there was a lot of crime etc., but Athens Highlands was perfect. Tammy was always at the office when she was supposed to be. She was always extremely nice. Maintenance always showed up within hours of us asking for them, and they always fixed the problem on their first try. She didn't take anything from our security deposit when she could have (and I've had other apartments take from my security deposit when they had 0 right to do so). The gates meant that I never had to worry about my car being broken into. The apartment layouts are great and the location is ideal if you are a UGA student. Tammy is a perfect apartment manager. The property is newly renovated, quiet and secluded. (Which is amazing, since it's right off of North Avenue). There are also lots of trees and greenery on the property and they do weekly upkeep on the grounds here to keep it nice.
We're under a mile outside of UGA campus and about 3 from the nearest Kroger. And Trail Creek Park is down the block, for all who have kids or like to hike or mountain bike.
Our neighbors are also great! Plus, it's pet friendly! Athens Highlands is the BEST apartment I lived in while in college if we exempt the fact that I lived with a psychopath whom I went to the court to try to get a restraining order against after she threatened to strangle and kill me.
As opposed to what Brittany said that Tammy allowed me to deduct my security deposit, Tammy did not let me deduct my deposit. Mar 2018: I just moved into this complex and I LOVE IT!!! Tammy, the property manager, is amazing!! She is personable, funny, and a lover of dogs. She worked with us on a move in date, she respects the residents, and she was an open book- answered all of our questions, was very patient and very kind. The apartment has lots of closet space, peace and quiet, residents are super friendly, and it is the best kept secret of Athens. can't say enough great things about this place, by far the best experience with a property manager and an apartment complex. I would give this place more stars if I could. Review from GoogleDec 2017: I moved here with a roommate. During the last month the property manager, Tammy, allowed my roommate to deduct the amount of half of our security deposit from my roommate’s rental payment although I was not granted this concession. Most of my security deposit was and is still available to cover any cleaning or trash out fees that my roommate might accrue after moving out.
I moved out early and could not do a walk-through because my roommate did not cooperate (she no longer had any money on the line). I expressed my concerns, at length, with Tammy because I believe this is unfair. Tammy grew upset when I told her that I would post online about my experience and told me to get out of her office and that she was only listening to my concerns to “be niceâ€.
