Hi, Loading...

Aug 2018: Overpriced and experience fell short of preview. Gym was a mess and had broken machinery. Punching bag was removed early in the year. Ridge towed residents parked in visitor spots. Parking is always limited for visitors. Furniture (dining room chairs and desk chairs) broke very easily. My garage door was opened by neighbor's garage door controller and my roommates and I were yelled at for barring the garage door with locks in place. Electronic numpad entry batteries died which left the door unlocked. Ridge staff came the same day to replace batteries. Lock codes are are not secure (4 digits 5 'numbers') Extremely aggressive in wanting us to resign. Review from Google
Jul 2018: Edit: I no longer reside here so use that fact as a testament to the owners knowledge and care for their own residents. Not sure why they don't do their own research but apparently they're too lazy. While there are plenty of one star reviews and a few 5 star, I must highly suggest not to look over the one star and ignore the 5 star with extreme prejudice. I could go into details but I believe all of the previous reviews have summed up what I would describe. I can say for a fact that every one of those one star reviews I can support from personal experience. Also keep in mind the one review about "incidents" and rowdy residents as those are just as true. If I may add to it, I witnessed on a daily basis numerous drug deals going on in the buildings (yes, plural) next door to where I lived. Management was made aware of this fact numerous times b Review from Google
Jul 2018: After switching to new management in January, the Ridge has become a horrible place to live at. Maintenance fails to complete my requests frequently. They will mark the problem as complete without actually fixing the issue. I informed maintenance about my dining room chairs that were breaking and they have not yet fixed the broken chair (I have been without a dining room chair for the past 5 months). In addition, new management is horrible. The new staff seems very clueless at the front desk, and the employees are either understaffed or very overly staffed. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: the ridge's new pricing for the 2018-2019 school year increased my monthly rent by about $50. I had countless members of the staff ensure me that this new rate (as opposed to my old rate of $629) would be the lowest deal they would offer. Now (as of July 12, 20 Review from Google
Jun 2018: The Ridge is awesome! I am honestly quite shocked at all of the negative reviews by people on here. I have had nothing but AMAZING experiences here. The apartments themselves are literally outstanding; the best you could possibly ask for a completely reasonable price especially considering all of the amenities you receive in return. They are upgrading a lot of the facilities which already far surpass what a college student could ever want or need in an apartment. Additionally, it’s extremely close to campus, Butler plaza, and an easy drive to anywhere you would need to go in Gainesville. Maintenance has always fixed my requests ASAP. The staff is amazing too: Charli, Holly, etc go above and beyond to try to help the residents and make sure you’re happy here! Also, there is literally a LAZY RIVER at this apartment (and a latte/coffee machin Review from Google
Feb 2018: If I could give this place a lower rating I would. The only reason I have stayed for almost two years has been because I got very cheap deals, much to the owner's dismay. The staff is now a bunch of college kids who live here and are surprisingly able to do a better job than any adult employee ever could. However, they are ill-equipped to deal with many BIG problems the place encounters. I've also had work orders placed here that are now in the multiple month long waiting period or have just been marked as 'done' without anyone actually coming to complete them. If you can look beyond the half-assed construction job they did when rushing the place together you probably will be turned off by the multiple "incidents" that have occurred in the complex in the first two years. Look them up online, if you read that multiple people have died here i Review from Google
Oct 2017: The Ridge has a lazy river, but that’s probably the only “good” thing about it. The walls are thin, the furniture is cheap, and the management is awful. Don’t be fooled by the “We Review from Google
Jul 2017: Even though it may seem like luxury apartments, the living is not as nice as you'd think. Let's start with when we moved in. First, NONE of the amenities promised were ready. The pool, gym, wifi, and cable were all down. Imagine moving in early to this nice expensive apartment, paying extra for all the luxuries, and for three weeks in the summer not having wifi, cable, or the pool. For some reason there was an awful smell in my roommates room when she moved in and after ripping off the plastic off her mattress she was shocked to see a dead rat in it. Absolutley disgusting. Our appliances were faulty when we first moved in and they needed constant repairs the whole year, especially the dishwasher. Once the pool was finally ready it was really nice to use but the jacuzzi was gross or broken a majority of the time. Not a huge deal but definitely Review from Google
Jul 2017: The Ridge may seem like a nice place to live from the outside, but it has so many things that make it one of the worst places to live. First of all, everything in the complex was extremely cheap. The townhouses had zero insulation, so from your room you could perfectly hear a conversation outside down the street. All of the furniture and appliances were also easily damaged. The headboards were so cheap that they only rested on top of the bed frame. The complex then attempted to charge me for the marks it made on the wall even though it was because they gave us such cheap furniture. All of our dining room chairs broke, one of them breaking while I was sitting in it. On top of the fact that it was cheaply built, there were countless times that maintenance would walk into our apartment unannounced! Being a 5'4" female, it was extremely terrifying to hear multi

May 2017: I toured this property today, and it was the worst experience I have ever had. The girl, who did not even introduce herself, walked us to some table and handed us some paper to fill out. OK? Are you going to introduce yourself? Ask us what we are looking for? Strike one. She then disappears. We sit there waiting and she comes back to start showing us a floor plan on a TV. She tells us nothing about amenities, tells us nothing about the office, area, proximity to campus. Nothing. After finally asking if we could see a unit, she tells us they only tour it on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. She disappears once again leaving us to wonder what next, literally standing around, wondering. After coming back she tells us they have one 2 bedroom left for fall, and ends the conversation... We still were shown no amenities, nothing. We asked "so, can we Review from Google
Apr 2017: The atmosphere and neighbors are awful. This is a place to live if your an absolute brain dead piece of trash who binge drinks Natty light until 6am on week days. All will blaring shitty music through the paper thin walls. It's not uncommon to hear music going on for 24 hrs here and it's enough to make a person f*king insane. Review from 4/28/17 on Google
Jan 2017: The only redeemable factor of this complex is the location. Besides the location this place has been very disappointing. Our apartment was the "show house" because construction was done on it before the other houses. Hundreds of people walked through our house throughout the entire summer making it very dirty and dusty. We were assured that our house would be cleaned well before we moved in and that we would be given the decorations that were used in the house to show. Upon moving in the floors looked atrocious and we never received the decorations we were promised. A couple of weeks later our A/C froze and melted causing major water damage in our house to the point where the ceiling looked like it would cave in. It took them weeks to resolve this issue and we were told that it happened to our entire building of town houses. Additionally, mess Review from Google
Dec 2016: I don't live here but I might as well be. These people party every weekend for nothing. The music is so loud and because the music is loud the people talk loud. They scream every lyric to every song. Just a mess! They just a club in the area with people living there 24/7 but weekends? Sleeping in? HA! No. You will NOT sleep in anywhere around the area on the weekend they party. Forget it. Unless you stay up till 11pm then you can sleep. It's a mess. I did a video on it just to show you how loud they are. Just look for my channel under my name and type in the apartment complex name. I can see if this was gator home coming and graduation and you know special events but nope. Review from 12/17/16 on Google
Dec 2016: Gainesville Ridge is my home away from home. I love how spacious and open the townhomes are. I feel like I'm living in luxury without paying an unreasonable amount! Not only are the amenities great, but so are my friends and the management. Review from 12/8/16 on Google
Nov 2016: This is a great place to live for any college student, grad or undergrad. The staff does outstanding job to always make sure everything is taken care of within hours, they're always happy to help and treat everyone like they're family. With all the great things the town homes offer alone, the staff plans parties, brunches and other activities so you feel right at home when you're away from your families! I do enjoy being able to float down the lazy river watching the football games on the Jumbotron! Review from 11/21/16 on Google
Oct 2016: Updating my review --- The complex was responsive and my daughter's apartment was cleaned by a cleaning service. Very happy with the quick response. She is very happy in her apartment and loves the pool area so hopefully this will be the only issue she has. Moved in my daughter yesterday and was sadly disappointed. I understand they were under the gun to get the place completed; however, they could have had it cleaned. The place is full of dust from wall work that was done and is very difficult to clean up without the proper cleaning supplies. We can in, assuming that we could just move her stuff in but had to spend an hour and a half cleaning all walls, baseboards and the floor -- and that was just her bedroom.
