Oct 2019: Good option for students. The only drawback is that short-term lease or lease transfer is very expensive. Review from Google
Aug 2019: Newly renovated, good facilities. I particularly liked the swimming pool, and free snacks and tea/coffee. It is in proximity to all the good stuff. Review from Google
Aug 2019: I only have good things to say about The Nook. The apartments are cozy and have everything you need to live comfortably. The location is also very convenient, as it is close to Butler Plaza, grocery stores, and not too far from campus. The complex is well maintained and it invites you to relax. But the best part about this place is probably its staff. Everyone is so helpful and friendly, and they really make their residents their first priority. They always try to make everyone feel welcome through their events and overall willingness to help if you need it. It is also very affordable, which is just another plus. 100% recommend this place if you are looking for a place to live in Gainesville. Review from Google
Mar 2019: If you're considering signing at The Nook, look somewhere else first, there are many more affordable options available. I have had negative experiences one after another while living here. Starting from being told to fix my broken closet myself, to being given attitude while picking up packages like it is a chore, to being insulted and disrespected by one of the workers. The customer service of the people hired is horrible, especially Brianna or Bre, however her name is spelled. With the exception of a few people, and that is Ian, Walter, and the maintenance, everyone that works or has worked has been rude and unhelpful. If you want to have a good experience, sign somewhere else. Review from Google
Feb 2019: I am moving into this complex in the fall and have spent time visiting friends here. From what I have seen the complex is beautiful and the leasing office staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Feb 2019: After living at the nook for almost 6 months I thought it was about time I left a fair and honest review. I will break it down for you in a list of pros and cons Pros The office staff are amazing! They are all really polite and kind and they learn your name and really try their best to take care of all of your needs. I can't give them enough credit for all their hard work. Free coffee in the clubhouse is my life The hot tub and pool are great, the grill area is pretty sweet too although I haven't had the pleasure of using it yet. The gym is pretty good too. The kitchen appliances are pretty great! Stainless steel and all updated, no complaints from me. The dual vanity in the 4x2s are absolutely amazing, they make sharing a bathroom effortless. The memory foam mattresses are very comfy although the bed frames themselves are very squeaky Review from Google
Jan 2019: My friend lives here and I've seen how impressive the managers really are. I've been at her apartment while maintenance has come in and the Russian dude is the nicest guy ever and he'll always make sure you're handled. Their events are the best in the area and the property manager will actually pick up the phone to talk to her residents. All in all, as a bystander, this place for sure deserves 5 stars. Review from Google
Jan 2019: Everyone who works here are some of the most friendly, helpful, people I’ve personally ever seen as an apartment complex staff. The vibe they’re creating amongst the community is awesome. It’s worth coming to take a tour! Review from Google

Jan 2019: Very amazing apartment with great management. They even hosts fun events ! Review from Google
Dec 2018: This review is being wrote by the parent of the apartment holder. On August 17 I went to move my daughter into her apartment at the Nook upon receiving the key there were many people there complaining about how dirty and trashy their apartment was. Once I got to the apartment I understood were the others that was moving in was from. The dishwasher was left with mildew water in it and the burners on the stove was not working. The covers to the light bulbs was full of insects and the washer and dryer was just nasty. It was so much wrong that I can't explain. After seeing all of this I went down to the office and requested the corporate number and was told by the assistant Mgr that he didn't know it. I waited for the Mgr for close to 45 minutes (I am guessing because there were so many complaints she was with other residents). When she finally a Review from Google
Nov 2018: If you are considering living at the nook reconsider and look elsewhere. On move in day you will not be helped. If they offer a promotion when you sign their lease don't expect to receive it till months later (I am still waiting). If you have issues in the apartment don't bother to call because they will tell you to "fix it yourself." The staff is rude, inconsiderate, and lazy. They will rather waste time and argue (before verifying if they are even correct) than do their job, simple tasks such as retrieving a package for a resident is almost too much for them. When I walk in I expect next to nothing in customer service yet every time I do they manage to outdo themselves and set the bar even lower. The cost of living here is cheap but your time is valuable and it will just go to waste living here. Review from Google
Nov 2018: Just to let everyone know, they are raising rent rates unless you renew by the end of November, and current residents are now being told that utilities are going to be charged separately for the next lease season. So not only did I have to move into a roach-infested apartment, have to take sure of them by myself, but now I have to pay even more to live here. There is no reason that the complex should raise rates on their current residents by keeping the same rent rate and charging for all utilities when we only had to pay electricity overages. I moved here partially bc the utilities were included, and this is absurd. Review from Google
Oct 2018: The Nook and The Niche are both great properties. They are sister properties so a lot of the events thay have are held as one. Both properties are nice and perfect for a college student. I’d recommend either to anyone looking for affordable off campus housing. Review from Google
Aug 2018: I recently moved into Nook. The leasing agent had approved my request for an early move in prior to signing the lease. On their request I did an advance payment of 1st month rent a month before my move in date. Couple of days before my requested move in date I mailed the Property Manager about my date and time of arrival at the apartment complex. Despite of informing the management repeatedly I was astonished to see the condition of the room they allotted to me on my move in date. The room was half painted, smoke detector was broken, wardrobe mirrors were not cleaned, certain bed screws were missing, carpets were not vacuumed. It seemed they forgot to do the maintenance work and just allotted me the room. Walter helped us all he could, but certain team members just seemed like they don’t care. He showed us a different unit the next day. Whil Review from Google
Jun 2018: The apartment was updated and renovated upon move in and maintenance is awesome! They always come the next day after placing a work order. Unfortunately, when we moved in the apartment had not been cleaned since the last people moved out. The fridge was dirty, there was food in the pantry, there was dust all over the floor from the renovations, and we found lots of bugs around the apartment. The office staff is not welcoming and has not taken initiative to make improvements to the complex. I live in an apartment overlooking the pool and while pool hours are posted, residents and non residents ‘party’ at the pool from 1-4am. Atleast twice per week since moving in, my roommates and I have had to yell out the window to turn down the music or to keep the noise down. We have emailed the office close to 6 times with no sympathy or attempt to cor Review from Google
May 2018: The Nook is one of the better complexes I've lived in. There are new stainless steel appliances and flooring with fully furnished rooms; which are convenient. However, maintenece needs work. The employees are friendly but my roommates and I have put in many work orders for a hole in the wall due to a pipe burst in February and it still isn't fixed. All in all, you get what you pay for and it's a cozy college apartment. Review from Google
May 2018: The new GM (Jasmine) is amazing and very helpful/understanding of all residents. The apartments are spacious with walk-in closets, which I personally love. There are also weekly challenges and food days that the Nook sponsors for all residents! Free food, free entertainment, a bbq patio, and a pool area that is always popping with jams! Book your nook if you wanna feel the love from the amazing staff and amenities. Review from Google
May 2018: Love the location. Not too far from campus and is super close to shopping and restaurants. Staff is really nice and maintenance is good about coming to fix things. Also there is always free coffee and tons of events with free food. Review from Google
May 2018: I’ve lived in multiple apartments in my collegiate career and never have I lived in such horrid conditions until now. From the moment I moved in, they made no effort to clean the mess that was left by the previous tenants. The cabinets were, and still are complete filth. There is dirt, rust and mold that keeps grow. The pipe under the kitchen has been leaking for months and they have yet to come fix it. The WORST of it all is the bug infestation. I have called the office countless times and each time they told me they would have it sprayed to fix it. Each time has been a lie, they’ve done nothing and the problem continues to grow. The kitchen has roaches on the counters, in the cabinets, in the back of the microwave- any little crevice you’ll be sure to find one. The icing on the cake has been my bedroom. I am a very cleanly person and I Review from Google
Mar 2018: Ive been a resident since Jan 2017. So I’ve seen this place before and after the renovations. It’s been a pretty good place to live since after the renovations. The houses are in good shape. The management has changed a few times since but The staff and maintenance have been good and really helpful throughout. The facilities provided are great. The location is really good and serviced by 4 buses on weekdays so getting to campus is easy. Plus it’s really close to archer rd which has a lot of usual day stores and food places you need. It’s a great place for the price and I’ve enjoyed living here. Review from Google
Mar 2018: I’ve been living here for almost a year now and it’s been great!!! The management team communicates well and will always get back to you quickly. They are lovable, great and has continually made my stay here amazing!!!!! Review from Google
Mar 2018: I love the community here. The staff is very friendly and most of the work is done in time. The price isn't too high and the amenities justify the price. Sometimes they have a few troubles here and there but which community doesn't. All in all I have been here since a year now and I like it. It feels like home! Review from Google
Feb 2018: Managers hide in their offices thinking they are the CEO of amazon. The little helpers ( receptionists) don't know how to do anything and are very rude. Packages are ALWAYS LATE!!! They hired a private company to pick up the packages from the post office. They sometimes deliver them to the nook a day or two days late, this is frustrating !!! There was a leak on the apartment below, maintenance guy barged into my room while I was naked and went into my bathroom Review from Google
Feb 2018: I made the mistake of signing on here another year after Peak took over. I had enjoyed my stay here back when it was Gateway at Glades and despite the hiked up price, thought it would still be worth it. I was so very wrong. First of all, my room is the only one in my apartment that was NOT renovated despite numerous calls to management, yet I'm paying considerably more than my roommates who all have nicer updated rooms. The maintenance and renovation staff are mostly aggressive and rude and I've caught one of them actually kicking my bedroom door to scare my dog when he thought I was not home. Maintenance really seems to enjoy bursting into your apartment/ bedroom with no prior warning so be careful doing literally anything as you don't really have any privacy. New furniture was chosen for looks, not comfort. The only good thing left here Review from Google
Dec 2017: I suppose it’s better than nothing and good for how much it is. The staff isn’t really the most helpful. I live in a 4/2 and The unit I was placed in was gross. Especially the bathroom. The toilet, bathtub and sinks were disgusting because apparently the tenants before me weren’t sanitary at all. It looks a lot better now considering I scrubbed everything as best I could. Needless to say, if you’re looking for something short term and inexpensive, this place isn’t too bad. It has a nice gym, pool, fast internet and a nice computer lab. Review from Google
