Jul 2019: Maintenance Is great! I never had to wait long to see my work order complete . The office employees are nice and sincere. It’s a great place to live in Gainesville Review from Google
Jul 2019: Conner did a fantastic job throughout our entire process of renting the apartment, he answers every question. Paid attention to details and has a great personality from anyone I’ve talked to. He really stands out and made me feel confident in renting at the laurels. He also helped us tour the unit for our potential roommate. Excellent service! Review from Google

May 2019: Raccoons spread everyone’s trash all across the apartment complex. They refuse to trim the trees that cover 80% of the complex. Unfortunately the berries they produce destroy your paint and being you have nowhere else to park it’s unavoidable. ANTS AND COCKROACHES EVERYWHERE not to mention Maintenance is extremely rude. Good place to live if rent was half of what they were charging Review from Google
Mar 2019: The Laurels are very nice apartment homes and the property management team is great. The area feels more like a traditional neighborhood rather than an apartment complex. The Laurels is an inclusive community with exclusive well kept amenities for renters. Review from Google
Mar 2019: I was really interested in the dogwood unit at the Laurels and filled out an application despite all the horrible reviews and what I had heard through others since I liked the overall community and unit. I had a few questions before committing to the Laurels and the management was not helpful AT ALL. It’s like they don’t want people to live here! I called and the agent I spoke with was SO clueless..she didn’t know anything and said someone would call me back which they never did. Later (from a different agent) I asked for specifics (how old are appliances in the non renovated units, what is the parking situation like, etc) and my questions were dodged left and right. I can see why management is awful now and I am not going to be renting from them for this reason alone. Review from Google
Feb 2019: Let me tell you about my experience with The Laurels. Over 10 years ago I did happen to sign a lease here but was told the apartment would not be ready for a week. I needed to find a place for my son, animals and myself to live. We were staying in a motel room after leaving an abusive, now, ex-husband. I ended up finding another apartment, the same day, so put $$ down and got my key. Now after over 10 years, I find out they put a judgement on me saying I resided in the apartment for over 200 days- even when they never received a dime for a deposit from me and I never got a key. Now I owe them, supposedly, over $52,000. If you want to get screwed royally by a seriously crooked complex, do stop by here and use their pens. It will cost you your car and whatever money they can get out of you.
Jan 2019: Never move here unless you enjoy killing 20-30 ants every day in your BATHROOM. We have put in several maintenance requests for pest control over the past couple months and they cannot solve the issue. You will find ants in your bathroom, ants in your bedroom, ants in your car, and the staff does not take the issue seriously. The thought of ants crawling around our clothes or on our bed as we sleep keeps us up at night. For nearly 1200 a month you think they could shell out for some decent pest control. I have lived in 6 or 7 different apartments over the last 11 years I've lived in gainesville and this is the worst experience of them all. Avoid the Laurels like the plague. Review from Google

Oct 2018: Has good staff at front office and prompt maintenance staff. Buildings are old and some are unrenovated so be careful going off the images on their site. Quick access to the 35 bus route for students. Review from Google
Oct 2018: We recently moved from this Apartment complex and it was thee most amazing, peaceful smooth sailing, most attentive and safest apartment complex in Gainesville. We couldn’t be more grateful for the front office staff and maintenance workers here. If you have a chance to live there do it! You would absolutely not go wrong with this place! Worth every penny. Review from Google
Aug 2018: This is a great apartment. I have been here for 2 years. Everything is perfect. Quiet and save place, great community service, and good fitness center. I love this place but I have to leave because of the graduation. Review from Google
Aug 2018: I’ve only been here for a few weeks but I really enjoy it. The grounds are well kept and the maintenance team is quick in responding to issues. There is a convenient trash pickup outside of each apartment once per morning. The gym is nice and there is a sauna as well! The pool was just redone and looks great. Although it is a bit old, it is definitely one of my favorite apartment complexes in Gainesville. Review from Google
Jun 2018: We've lived at the Laurels for about 6 months now, not too impressed. First with the positives. The general neighborhood is comfortable, mainly young adults. doesn't have much of the college vibe, which is what I prefer. Hard to find that around Gainesville. The gym is wonderfully equipped, plenty of weights and machines to use. Also the complex is in a good location with easy access to I-75. Our unit is a 3 bedroom, has a pretty good amount of space to it, although the kitchen could be a bit bigger. The maintenance staff are pretty responsive whenever we've put in a request. Now to the negatives. The pool has been out of service and getting renovations since the start of March. It is now the second week of June in Florida and still no pool. Our neighbors are extremely loud at all hours of the day/night. Music is almost constantly bumping thro Review from Google
May 2018: My husband and I have lived at the Laurel’s for 3 years. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the community. It is quiet, aesthetically pleasing, and our neighbors are friendly. The gym offers several different machines and is always kept clean. The apartments themselves are beautiful and spacious, with updated appliances. Lastly, Wade and Gary, who are the maintenance workers for the Laurels, are always eager to help, and have fixed any issues we’ve come across promptly. They are both professional, hard working, and friendly. My husband and I are moving soon to South Florida, and we will both miss living in this community. Review from Google
May 2018: I've been living in Gainesville apartments for a very long time, and this is the first time I've been impressed enough to write a review. I've lived here for 3 years (2 years in a 2/2, 1 year in a 1/1) and I've had nothing but good experiences. The management is not only helpful, but treat their residents like people. The apartments are well kept and well designed, and the times I did have issues, they were addressed quickly and professionally (bonus: the maintenance guys are some of the nicest people I've met!) I'm moving for job reasons, and I'm honestly a little sad to go. Thanks guys! Review from Google
Feb 2018: I have renewed my lease three times at The Laurels (and I will likely renew in the future), and have many positive things to say about the complex. Staff and maintenance: The office staff are always friendly and helpful. Whenever I have a need or question, they respond quickly and keep me informed. Maintenance issues are taken care of quickly (I haven't had any problems with appliances or anything major, just small repairs that needed fixing). The maintenance staff are very friendly and polite as well. Neighborhood/Complex: The complex is really quiet and I think the apartment walls are fairly thick (I never hear my neighbors). A new gate system at the front of the complex was just installed and restricts access to the complex at night. I feel completely safe in this neighborhood/complex. The valet trash pickup is a nice service. I would Review from Google
Dec 2017: Awesome job by Wade and the maintenance staff on fixing an appliance. The guys were fast and proficient. They did a thorough job. Review from Google
Dec 2017: This apartment is very good! Management people are very nice! They will help you as soon as possible if you meet some troubles. As your furniture has problem, you can ask them for help. The environment is also really good, full of greens. Big space between house and house. Review from Google
Nov 2017: Definitely one of the best in Gainesville. Nice staff, perfect maintenance and beautiful apartments. Rent is a bit higher than the average. I totally recommend this complex especially if you're looking for a quiet and friendly place. Review from Google
Nov 2017: It was nice experience living at the Laurel's for 3+ years. Drew was the Property Manager during the time we resided there and Ms. Shirley worked the Entry Gate in the evenings. Both of them always made us feel welcomed home anytime we encountered them. The apartments have good floor plans at good prices. The pool and gym facilities were great too! Review from Google
Sep 2017: Current resident. The management staff (specifically Susan) is very good at communicating with us. The maintenance staff is always kind and courteous and very great about going above to get whatever we need to have repaired done in a timely manner. Rent is pretty expensive, but they seem to be improving their amenities to justify it. Large windows lead to higher bills, but if you keep them covered during the day it's not too bad. We have issues with the internet going through the apartment. The neighborhood is relatively quiet with decent and respectful neighbors. The night staff is attentive to their jobs. My only real issue with the complex is the mandatory charge for COX TV with HBO (advertised). I've been here for over a YEAR and despite the service staff "attempting" to "fix" my issue (both COX and the Laurels) we have never recei Review from Google
Apr 2017: Me and my husband moved here on October, 2016. I was looking for a quiet place to live since I study at home most of the time. This was the first apartment we visited and after looking at the other options we decided to move here. We love everything about this place, the apartments are very nice, my parents loved the club house and the free coffee, they also have computers and a printer available at the leasing office. Anytime I need to have something done in the apartment they come right away. Wade is always super nice and the ladies at the leasing office too! I am very happy with the choice I made. Thank you and keep up the good work! Review from 4/8/17 on Google
Apr 2017: I have been living at The Laurels since December and it has been the best experience I've ever had living in an apartment complex. I've lived in three apartments located here in Gainesville, but never felt this welcomed or happy about the staff/management. When I moved into my apartment, (3/3 upgraded townhome), it was NEWLY upgraded with all new stainless steel appliances, new vinyl flooring, and I even got a new washer and dryer! Recently, they upgraded my AC unit because it's one of the oldest ones on site, and because it's better it's going to save me money in the long run. The maintenance staff is really nice and always does such a great job if I ever need anything. I've spoken to everyone who works up in the office and they are all so wonderful. Sep 2016: I absolutely love this community. I lived in a truly awful place before (Campus Club Apartments) and I've been living here going on a second year with very few complaints. The apartments are in good shape, it's an amazing value, and a quiet community that has beautiful trees. The only downside is the management is good, but they do occasionally forget things or fight you on little things, but nothing intolerable. For example, I asked twice for two more wheels for the bed posts (I only received two upon moving in for some reason) and they never ended up giving me four wheels. The manager is very nice and they are generally accommodating though. Review from 9/20/16 on Google
Jul 2016: I have lived in a few apartments in Gainesville and this is the best one yet! Ms. Shirley at the front gate is amazing, management is great and is readily available to help me.. Maintenance is quick and friendly. The service here all around is awesome. Location is ideal because we're just right away from the high traffic area but still close to everything. I would most definitely recommend this place to everyone. Review from 7/21/16 on Google
