Oct 2019: If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Worst decision I have ever made was deciding to live here. Management is AWFUL. They have lied to me and my roommates multiple times. We always have issues and they are rarely resolved. not worth the location. Save yourself, do not live here. Disregard all the good reviews, I have heard nothing but horror stories from other tenants. Also, construction is not completed even though this building was built a couple years back. Likely due to the horrible job they did. I would rather walk for an hour than be 28 steps from campus. Review from Google
Oct 2019: I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Horrible management and they never seem to be able to resolve any of our issues. They are constantly lying to you about everything they do and their lies never add up to what is promised to you. I regret signing here and I 100% recommend you do yourself a favor and do NOT sign here. They are constantly trying to steal money from you and their apartments aren't even constructed properly so they have maintenance constantly in your apartment, trying to fix all the issues there are which is a complete invasion of privacy 24/7. Sep 2019: Amazing! Everyone is so nice and helpful and the location is extremely close to campus making it ideal. The staff is great too and maintenance is helpful. Review from Google
Sep 2019: I love this place! The staff and location is fantastic. The only turndown is the price. Review from Google
Sep 2019: Everyone is nice and friendly. Walls are thicc. I enjoy a long lounge session at the pool. However, the televisions at the pool are completely shot and do not know when they will be fixed. Also, the elevators seem to not working more often than not. Review from Google
May 2019: Do not lease these apartments. The management and lease agreements are extremely restricting and unfair to the tenants. After 4 full years with two students renting, they imposed a $350 fee to sublet a 2 month lease. They are unable to assist with subleasing even though they tell you they can. There are so many better options. The quality of furniture, repairs are subpar. But the worst has to be the management. Demeaning. Uncaring. Want to know more? Just look at construction trucks, repair vehicles and workers taking up all the parking places EVERY SINGLE DAY. FOR 4 YEARS STRAIGHT. UPDATE: Considering I and both my daughters have been in that office more than a dozen times, read the response from management. Clueless. We brought two subleasers to them. #lipservice. May 2019: Do not live here if you want anything done correctly. Lease has sketchy terms and is expensive, rent is raised yearly. They will randomly come into your apartment to do “furniture inspections”. Many of the balconies are unsafe and have been closed down. One of my kitchen cabinets can’t open because there’s a vent on the Ceiling preventing it from moving. When you move in you better buy cleaning supplies do get rid of all the shower mold. The leasing office only owns 2-3% of the building so they don’t care if anything’s working or not. If you put in any preferences for building or floor it will be ignored. For some reason the maintenance guys only clean the carpet on the second floor on a regular basis. The printer in my building has been down for months despite me letting them know more than a few times. Also, they will tell you there’s no problem for them to get you a sublease, and at the last second they’ll tell you they have nobody Review from Google

May 2019: I'll start with the good qualities of Social 28. The location is unmatched, the kitchen appliances are nice, the staff at the front desk are also very welcoming and helpful, and maintenance typically fixes your issues quick. The amenities are nice and they always have events like free chick fil a or açai bowls. The complex has always made me feel safe which is a great plus. The downside of Social is that you pay $200 for a parking system that is extremely flawed; there were many occasions where I couldn't even get my car in order to make it to appointments. They said I could email management and they would reimburse me for the Ubers I had to take, but I was never contacted back. Our apartment always smelled weird despite cleaning it weekly and we even found mold on the walls behind paintings that we hung up. We brought this up to maintenance and they said that there was no mold, probably just dust (????) Review from Google

Apr 2019: Good location. Close to the university and the supermarket. Expensive compared to the rest of the the apartment complexes. Quality of the appliances bad. No isolation of the noise, either from inside nor outside. I wouldn't come back to live here. Review from Google

Mar 2019: Worst place I lived at during my time at UF. Horrible management, and for the price they’re charging you don’t get parking nor your own bathroom. They also moved residents in more than two years prior to finishing constructing the complex, which was extremely disturbing with not only regard to studying but also to everyday life and general safety. Sep 2018: My experience with Social 28 was horrible and I would give them zero stars if I could. They try to get every cent out of you that they can and I think they take advantage of college students who don't have a lot of experience handling leases and legal contracts. The leasing office also lied to me and my friends about our roommate situations on numerous occasions. The $160 a month for parking is ridiculous and I would definitely not recommend living here if you have a car. Yes, it is about as close to the main part of campus as you can get, but having classes in the microbio building, animal science buildings, or even the physics building cancels out the benefits of living so close to campus. Overall, the proximity to campus is not at all worth the cost of living here. The rooms aren't even nice enough to merit $700 a month to begin with. Defi Review from Google
Mar 2018: this place deserves negative stars. they are fining me $500 for taking care of my grandfather's cat while he was laying in his death bed. great management as you can see. and don't forget the years on construction to come. don't ever live here. Review from Google
Mar 2018: do not live here. the management is awful and they charged me $500 for watching my grandpa’s cat for him while he was on his death bed. great people as you can see lol. this place is the absolute worst. Review from Google
Nov 2017: I love how convenient this location is!! wouldn't trade it even for my own bathroom. also love how quick maintenance is, they come and fix everything we ask them too. The front desk people are also super friendly and make it easy to approach them. Review from Google
Oct 2017: This is my third year living here, and I love it. The location, price, and kind management really make it an enjoyable experience. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is the high price for parking which I understand is the cost of doing business and once in a while there will be fire alarm tests without an email warning. Oct 2017: Social28 is a great place to live if you like broken elevators, and broken promises. Construction noises wake you up every morning, even though Social28 informed residents that the "noisey" construction was delayed should be completed in December of 2016 (more than 10 months ago!). Beyond the construction, the office refused to allow me to get a scooter decal for my girlfriends scooter, even though they had previously given me a decal for the exact scooter, stating that their policy changed and that as a resident I am obliged to follow "any policy changes" they would like, regardless of what my lease states. The only upside to the apartment is the maintenance crew, which is going to come in handy the way things break down at this place. Review from Google
Sep 2017: If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Living here has been an absolute nightmare. The day I moved in, the AC broke and wasn't fixed for several days. The shower doors don't close completely because they were put in wrong so water gets all over the floor in the bathrooms. I put in a maintenance request the week I moved in, and two months later have not even heard back. During a hurricane, buckets worth of water leaked into my mine and roommate's rooms and ruined the carpets. After several maintenance requests and many trips to the office, one of the maintenance workers finally agreed to come look at our rooms. Upon inspection, it was determined that the leaks were caused by the fact that my roommate's sliding glass door was installed upside down and by faulty construction of the wall in my room. My roommate and I were told that Review from Google
Aug 2017: They need to tear down the building and start completely over. My apartment flooded 4 separate times. Summer 2016 there was a storm, my room flooded and it ruined my laptop, chargers, textbooks, and the management refused to reimburse me. The living room regularly flooded because the balconies are poorly made even though they have maintenance coming into your apartment literally every day for two weeks straight. Not to mention that these men are given permission to enter your apartment without letting you know first, several times my roommates and I have been sitting on the couch and watched the workers just enter our apartment, not even pretending to knock first. Kitchen and bathroom sinks all leak under the counter, make sure you check under there. The place reeks of dead fish for some reason (???) and there's an obvious mold smell in severa Review from Google
May 2017: I have lived here for 2 years now and I have very few good things to say about this apartment complex. One good thing is that the maintenance staff has been reliable and helpful for all of the mess ups, broken appliances, and inadequate living spaces that were provided to us upon move in. But aside from maintenance and location...It is completely over priced for what you're given, it has been under continuous construction since the building opened (being woken up every morning for months by power tools), and there are still unfinished common areas, with no access to some. The most recent event that occurred to my roommates and me was that one of our glass shower doors shattered out of nowhere. We were informed this was likely due to poor installation. Thankfully no one was hurt... Review from 4/12/2017 on Facebook
