Hi, Loading...

Oct 2019: I hate to complain but I would like to share my own experience with prospective residents or those who are applying for this apartment. I was the former resident of the apartment. To be fair, the quality of Campus Lodge is average or above average compared with other apartments. However, the reason I gave it a one star rate (the lowest) out of five is that it makes me feel once you move out, they no longer care about you. When I moved out, Campus Lodge charged me 25 bucks for the visual appearance of the carpet of my room. However, in the move-in checklist, I have noted down in the floor/carpet session that "some parts are sticky (floor)" (the quote is the exact wording I used). So, I wrote a dispute form to Campus Lodge. I did not get any reply from them until I called them again and again myself. I called them many time (at least 6 times as far as I remembered). They never replied to my concerns Review from Google
Oct 2019: I have a cat. I let the management know I had a cat. I was told there was a room available for immediate move in, no problems. AFTER I completed the application, I walked into the office because I had been waiting to receive the lease. It was only when I went into the office that they informed me that I would be moving in with someone who had a cat and dog. I refused to sign the lease as I was not given this information prior to the completion of the application. Now they are coming after me for money for the application fee - nearly $300. So, jokes on me because I was bamboozled, or misled out of money. Lesson learned. Additionally, the staff is not appropriately trained or kept appropriately informed. Three managers sit in the 3 offices and the staff have to go discuss everything with them before giving out any information. They run the office equivalent to that of a cheap, used car lot. Overall, sleazy management. Review from Google
Aug 2019: 1. When signing the lease, my roommates and I asked for specific buildings to be chosen for us to live in. None of our suggestions were taken and we were given the most bug infested unit ever. Literally, the day I moved in I found a wasp in my bedroom flying around. 2. When I moved in here in August of 2018, the gate worked for 1 month and then stopped working. It is almost September of 2019 now and the gate is still broken. The complex is cheap and doesn’t want to buy a new gate. 3. Circling back to the bug issue, the entire apartment building is heavily infested with roaches and wasp nest. Whenever I request a pest control to visit, it takes practically over a month before someone comes out to the building and they use a spray that doesn’t work each time. 4. Maintenance is slow. I requested that the kitchen light in our unit be fixed from early in august before people began to move in and it still hasn’t been fixed Review from Google
Jul 2019: So I cant give it 5 stars because I haven't lived here yet, but McKayla gave me an absolutely amazing tour. Very friendly informative and the place looks amazing. Review from Google
Jul 2019: I continued to sign here because of the price, but now they increased the rent way to high for the bad quality of apartment. The staff is very nice and friendly and I know it is not their fault the place is falling apart. But unless you are living in the luxury apartments which not everyone can afford, save yourself from signing here. My AC was broken for over two weeks and it was almost 90 degrees inside my apartment because it was during July. The portable AC I luckily got was louder than the washing machine so I couldn't even sleep nor cook because it was so ridiculously hot. I was not the only one in this position, my friend was without AC too for a long time. My washer machine broke every other month. The fridge was so dirty when I first moved in it took a whole day to clean it. Only half of the stove worked. All of the furniture is really old and scratched. The floors are very stained even if you try cleaning them with bleach which I did Review from Google
Jul 2019: Not a lot of people understand what it takes to run a property and keep the residents happy, but Campus Lodge is doing fine! You won't regret signing here. The location, amenities, and floor-plans are great, they have awesome new hires, and a great manager who is always willing to help. Review from Google
Jun 2019: Don’t live here. Takes advantage of residents. 50 dollars for a key replacement is ridiculous. Front desk personnel are extremely rude. They took away the light allowance so now you are responsible to pay for all the utilities, however, they increased the rental rates..: doesn’t make much sense to live here. Live somewhere closer to campus that is much more fair. Review from Google
Jun 2019: I've lived at campus lodge for 1 year now. Never had any problems with them. When I submit a service request, I usually get the service done withing 3 days. The repair men/women leaves a printed note of what was done. And what parts were replaced in their hand writing. Mail is dropped off at your front door or the main office depending on the carrier. And updates on building maintenance and apartment complex general updates are given with frequent to your account messages. 10/10 , I recommend this to anyone. Review from Google

Jun 2019: I've lived here for 3 years and originally continued to resign due to the affordable price but after having stayed here for so long, I am extremely disappointed. The new management is unprofessional and fails to get issues resolved in a timely manner, if at all. The front desk assistants are poorly trained and this comes from my personal experience of being a leasing specialist myself. I have had packages held in the office for months and have been told on numerous occasions they were not received by the office, only to reiterate they check again. To their surprise, my packages have been in their package room the entire time! The front gate has not been properly fixed since August of 2018, while the back gate is constantly under repair but the office has little to say about about the resident concerns. There are pool parties thrown almost every weekend on this property and loud music blaring from nonresidential cars at all hours of the night Review from Google
Apr 2019: Great pool, nice gym, decent sized rooms. Wish the buses came more often though. It would be nice if fixing the gate in this GATED complex didn't take an entire year. All other complaints are related to a lack of a feeling of security at night that an operational gate provides Review from Google

Apr 2019: When I first moved into campus lodge I was not pleased. HOWEVER, Darnell worked very closely with me to resolve any issues. He is a dedicated manager who listens to the residents. I would not recommend upgraded apartments are nice and worth it. Brittney and Emily always greet me with a smile. Review from Google

Apr 2019: Campus Lodge has been my home for going on three years. It is a lovely place to live. The community is in a wooded area which provides residents with an escape from the chaos of student life and downtown living. Darnnell Presley in the front office is a joy to work with. I didn’t choose the lodge life, the lodge life chose me. Review from Google

Mar 2019: Great place to live! Great pool! The staff in the front office help you out when ever you need! Brittney and Darnell helped me when my car broke down and went above and beyond to get me situated. They are great people and make the living experience at campus lodge that much better! Review from Google
Mar 2019: Resort-style living, great place to live. Amenities and activities are great. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Maintenance staff are the best! Highly recommend - 5 stars!!!! Review from Google
Mar 2019: EDIT: Be aware of 5 star reviews, since Management is giving people "Free T-Shirts" in return of people giving them a 5 star review on Google, this is clearly unethical as it does not reflect the reality of current service at Campus Lodge. BE AWARE of a "Senior Leasing Manager" by the name of Morgan Richardson, she can be VERY RUDE to residents and does not seem to know anything about customer service, I feel sorry for some of the people that work at the front desk for having to deal with such a disrespectful and unmannerly person. Ever since Campus Lodge switched management everything went downhill, management used to be really good, they always tried to help you if you had any issues. New management changed everything for worse, the gates to the complex do not work at all so anyone can literally get-in and out as they please so there's no safety factor in the community anymore, rent went up and honestly it is not worth it anymore to live in Campus Lodge, there are better places close by from Campus Lodge with better prices and better amenities (Try Lexington Crossing, Gainesville Place) that actually work and are kept functioning Review from Google
Mar 2019: Campus Lodge is the best apartment complex in Gainesville. It is clean and the amenities are unmatched! Darnnell and Emily in the front office are the best and are willing to help me with anything I need! 5 stars, I highly recommend living here. Review from Google
Feb 2019: Just in case anyone is wondering where the good reviews are coming from look at the picture I attached. I moved in here in August 2018. It took 3 months for repairs to the apartment after I moved in and had made initial maintenance requests. I wasn't roomed with 2 of my friends like I requested and I was also not on the floor or region of the complex that I said I preferred. The apartment reeked of mothballs when I moved in and the office refused to confront the girl in my apartment who was using them. The floors are downright filthy as well, no matter how hard you scrub them, the dirt will not come out (I believe they sealed the tile while it was dirty so now there is a coat of dirt trapped). If you have a dog, do not move here. The yards are infested with fleas and its nearly impossible to keep them out of the house and off of you. My dog wears a flea collar along with giving her flea baths once a month and still every time she goes for a walk she comes back with her legs covered in fleas Review from Google
Jan 2019: this place used to be good, not any more. I spent almost three years here, I was satisfied the first two years, not the last one after the management changed. I will mention one thing that happened with me. I had ants infestation in my shower area, first time I called it was Monday afternoon, they said the pesticide people comes only once a week so you will have to wait until next Monday!! like are you kidding me!! I had to use my disgusting shower for a whole week, I thought it will be one week and things will be better, sure enough they came next week and sprayed!! guess what nothing happened!! ants were everywhere in my shower and they started creeping to my room!! it took them at least three weeks to solve the issue. I asked them to change the shower lay out because if it is infested it will be very hard to get rid of the ants, they didn't Review from Google
Jan 2019: Campus lodge is a great place to live at. The staff is friendly and they look out for their residents as best as they can. Maintenance works quickly and well. Austin and Darnell ensured the lights that were blown in my hallway were fixed. Thank you! Review from Google
Jan 2019: I’ve been a resident at campus lodge for two years now and I love all the events the staff puts together! There are events all the time and giveaways as well. Darnnell, Morgan, and Emily Sellers are my favorite staff members. They always make sure all my needs are taken care of. Campus Lodge feels like my home away from home. Review from Google
