May 2019: If I could give zero stars I would. I honestly do not know where to start. This place is nightmare! It was our first place and it honestly taught us how a property should NEVER be ran. The first week there our heater was broken! When the maintenance came to fix it they broke our pantry door! Literally the door fell on me and no one left a note or anything saying it had been broken. So here we are with a broken door for the next 2 months because maintenance claimed they had to order a new door because it was unfixable. However one day I called extremely frustrated and someone was sent over to fix it and miraculously fixed the door in 5 minutes! So we went 2 months with a broken door for no reason! Next issue is our dishwasher was broken when we moved in as well along with my closet door not being able to shut all the way ever. Our AC never worked properly at all & As days went by All the “makeup” that PEGGY referred to when we were trying desperately to see our apartment before move in started to wear off! holes appeared EVERYWHERE on the ceilings Review from Google
May 2019: On our second year, we can honestly say, it's the empliyees that make the difference. ALL of them are worthy of honorable mention. We are very happy here. Review from Google
May 2019: To start off, This place was spraying paint fumes in our apartment while we had pets. They wanted to spray paint in our kitchen and bathroom while we were still living here. The only thing good is maintenance is responsive. They are attentive to the various problems we’ve had here with the shower and air conditioner not working. Now, Venue bought this place after the time our lease began and waited until six months to post a poorly written eviction letter stating if we didn’t change our interested party on our renters insurance we’d be evicted. They communicate with residents very poorly and don’t care about hospitality or customer service here. They waited until then to tell us this, Instead of proactively informing us in a timely manor. Mostly just poor management. I emphasize that this is a nice place and location, It’s the people who run this place that are the cause of the one star Review from Google
May 2019: So if this review can save a family or a single soul some emotion and financial grief, it would be time well spent writing it. MS.PIGGY is the most unprofessional human being I ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Her practices of getting a lease sale matches the LEAD soaked walls of the place (you sign a waiver in your lease). From non-stop issues (w/out ac for a week, and dysfunctional appliances)with our apartment since our move in to apartment 278 in August 2018, to taking nearly $400 from our overcharged deposit of $2400 short on my March 2019 move out. The management is never in corresponding reach which is left with people getting robbed of time and money from MS.PEGGY. When finally confronted about THEIR ERROR IN THEIR LEDGER, all you with get is a sorry attempt of belittlement from MARLINE the leasing management. Their narrative is always skewed, so be sure to DOCUMENT EVERYTHING if you attempt to do business with them Review from Google
Mar 2019: The old strawberry fields apartments in Winter Park. They have updated the common areas and made it a nice community and a very convenient location
Dec 2018: Never, EVER, under any circumstances live here. I was a resident from August 2017-November 2018, meaning I lived here when the new owners came in and changed it to Venue. First thing they did was repaint the apartments and tell residents that they would be remodeling apartments. No big deal, they were old, they could use some renovating. Then they spiked the rent up to a completely unreasonable price, considering all they did was repaint the cabinets and change out the kitchen appliances. This apartment complex wants nearly a thousand dollars a month to live in somewhere with no gate, a complete lack of security, nine public washers and nine public dryers that only accept card payments when they work properly, and that’s if you’re living in a one bedroom with no pets. Not to mention a pitiful maintenance response time. From June through Au Review from Google
Nov 2018: I'm disappointed that the gym was supposed to be up and running months ago and it's still "under renovations." We were told September, then mid October, then mid November, and now nothing. I wish you guys were a little more forthcoming. The communication on this sucks. What's going on with the gym?? Are we going to even have one (and are we being charged for an amenity we haven't even seen yet?) Where is it going to be? When will it finally be done? I would just like to know what's going on... Thank you! Review from Google

Nov 2018: I'm writing this review for Brenda, Peggy, Shana, and Kelly. They really work hard to make sure that tenants (like myself) are happy. I deal mostly with Peggy, who is a gem, but I've been assisted by Shana, and Kelly and they are always ready to help. Brenda who I am going to miss, was always on the ball, with anything I needed as well. This is a good group of people. They are the reason I signed another lease. Review from Google
Nov 2018: Kellie is Amazing!! She was so helpful in getting in our son settled in. She has even called me out here in California to let me know she saw him and that he seemed well. A blessing when he is so far away! Great place with renovations and new windows! Review from Google
Oct 2018: Just signed my lease...and is totally happy with my apartment. The leasing manager and employees are wonderful and understanding. My leasing consultant was Kelly she did a phenomenal job with getting me moved in and assuring that all my needs and problems were resolved. I am happy to call this home 🏡..... Review from Google
Jun 2018: I hate writing bad reviews, but even with the new management and renovations this is by far the worst place that I’ve ever lived. I am scared to take my poor dog to the bathroom at night, there are cops constantly here for domestic disputes, and when our fridge had to be replaced they gave me a rusted and yellow from smoke fridge that had rat poop and hair inside of it and told me “that’s all they got”. Renovations are always nice.. when they are installed correctly. The dish washer was not screwed down so it toppled over when I tried to open the door. Not fifteen minutes after that I turned on my sink and the head of it flew off and water was spraying everywhere. It’s been two weeks since I put in requests for these things to be fixed and they still have not come by. Review from Google
Jun 2018: I have lived here for about 5 years. This is my second apartment, at first I was fine but when it became Venue at Winter Park I became unhappy I move in 2 weeks. The upgrades are nice, but why not wait until I leave, I work from home and it has been extremely annoying. I have had to take time off because workers in my apartment all day making noise. This is my home and I feel I have zero privacy. Review from Google
May 2018: As indicated by several other tenants, communication is a major issue. Rather than phoning or emailing about an issue, the main means of communication is to post eviction notices. For example, they posted an eviction letter stating that if we didn't update our renters insurance to include their new company (Venue) we would be evicted. I called the eRenters and they assured us that the renters insurance had been automatically renewed and was in the proper name (Venue of Winter Park).. I would have appreciated a heads up email or phone call rather than the agressive and hostile approach of posting the notice. Training needs to be conducted on effective communication, customer service, and ways to avoid upsetting cusomters. I am very disappointed. Review from Google
May 2018: To start off, Maintenance is amazing. They are kind and attentive. Now, Venue bought this place a little over 6 months ago and waited until now to post a poorly written eviction letter stating if we don’t change our interested party on our renters insurance we’d be evicted. They communicate with residents very poorly and don’t care about hospitality or customer service here. They waited until now to tell us this, Instead of informing us 6 MONTHS AGO. Inexcusable. I emphasize that this is a nice place and location, It’s the people who run this place that are the cause of the one star. ______________________________________________ Review from Google
May 2018: Venue had the audacity to post an eviction letter on our door stating that if we didn't update out renters insurance to include their new company (Venue) that we'd be evicted, Complete disrespect for time and hospitality. They had six months to inform residents of this as we signed our lease in September with the original company. We don't appreciate being treated in a hostile manor that shows no respect towards the residents. When we brought the problem up at the leasing office we were told to "calm down". Great hospitality and customer service!! Yeah right, Avoid at all costs. Review from Google
May 2018: Would be great if they background checked the residents, had a drug dealer neighbor for a little over a year (albeit that was under previous management) and it's not uncommon to see crazies at night. Okay place to live 5 days a week, but after 8 PM and on weekends it's all screaming unattended kids or some guy blaring R&B with his car windows open for 4 hours. (Not exaggerating.) Nothing wrong with the unit, and the new upgrades are nice, but you get tired of having the cops on speed dial. Review from Google
Apr 2018: Only been here 6 days and wish i would of paid attention to the reviews. All it takes is one f up for me to not wanna deal with a place or company. You would think apartments would be move in ready with no problems and already have problems since move in. Bathroom tub is clogged and outlets in my room arent functioning properly and of course they set up a day for maintenance to come out and fix the issues but the problem is they come and dont fix the issue. Still clogged and constantly having to clean the tub due to it being clogged and water not draining and outlets still dont work. Not to mention the fans in the bathroom are so old and loud had ro remove cover to disconnect them. Ive never heard a fans rattle so loud in any apartment or home ive rented. Now i left my loaf of bread out and i wake up early today and find it torn apart, i have Review from Google
Apr 2018: Just moved out cleaned everything out of the apartment but they still want to charge me a 175$ trash fee for 2 small paintings left inside. Great management. Review from Google
Mar 2018: Resident for two years. We were lied to by all the employees here when we signed our initial lease a few months ago. The miscommunication is terrible and the management is poor and irresponsible. Things are constantly breaking in our “new” apartment and the neighbors are loud and inconsiderate. Be wary, This is one of the most poorly led communities I have ever rented from. They told us rent was due at the end of November then served us with a “Pay or get evicted” letter at the beginning of the month. How about not lying about when rent is actually due? We were told to pay ahead being we moved in after the 26th? Don’t even get me started on the prior year. We will be moving soon. UPDATE. Since the new management has taken over this place had improved immensely!!!!! Review from Google
Jan 2018: I don't know if I supposed to rates now cuz I just moved in today 8/20/16 and i found the place to be pretty impressed when I walk into my apartment the whole place was clean. The air and everything was on. When I walk in to get my keys the office was so nice. Management was professional. NEW UPDATE 9/2/16: It been a week since I move in and the apartment complex very quiet and clean. When I called in for service they comes in the next day. PLUS your need to understand that Winter Park Common is a old apartment complex. To me winter park common employees trying their best to keep it NEW. Everyday I see them up and down getting things done. NEW UPDATE 10/25/16, everything ease is good but your rent be going up like crazy out of know way, they be charging you all this unknown charges. Review from Google
Dec 2017: Do not rent here. They have increased costs to here. Increased our cost of water to $70 dollars, which isn't in our contract. Attempts to fix ongoing issues in our apt not fixed after several complaints. Other ongoing issues that still need to be fixed. We where told our rent would be one price and ended up paying way more. Trash left out way beyond the dumpster on a regular basis always smells. Extremely dissatisfied. Review from Google
Nov 2017: Been a resident for two years. There are constantly issues here. We had a leak under the slab in our apartment, which lead to us having an electric bill 5-6 times the normal amount. It took them almost 6 months to find the issue and get it resolved, costing us an additional $1500. There has yet to be any sort of reimbursement due to their management staff constantly changing. If you can afford a little extra for an apartment, I would highly suggest looking elsewhere in the area. This place is not worth the amount of rent that they charge. UPDATE: If it were possible to give 0 stars I would. All of a sudden, after moving out, I get a bill in the mail from a collection agency for $245. I have not received a bill from them in the amount and have received no communication on what the charges are for. Out of the blue there is just a big collection Review from Google
Sep 2017: When you first move in they are very nice and helpful. After they take your money staff is very rude. Very slow to fix problems. Appliances constantly break down. No one answers the phone or return emails. Extremely over price for what you receive. Trash area is always over flowing. Security is never around. Staff is not here to help tenants. I was asked to leave because there was nothing further she could do. Review from Google
Jun 2017: I lived here for almost a year... water came in our windows and they sent someone out w tape to cover it. There was black mold everywhere. They refused to replace broken appliances... like washer/dryer and stove etc. the conditions were unlivable and they refused to let us out of our lease. First month living here there was a shooting. Avoid at all costs. Review from 6/2/17 on Google
