Oct 2016: I personally like it here! The rooms are spacious the bathrooms are a good size and it's pretty nice. Maintenance fixes stuff pretty quickly and the front office staff is nice I think they're really helpful. So far it's been a pretty good experience for me! Review from 10/6/16 on Google
Sep 2016: I can't even give them a star at this point. Today, at 5:17 pm, the maintenance staff came in after my roommates and I complained about the AC unit not working, we open the unit to find MOLD GROWING IN IT. One of my roommates decided to call corporate, and we're about to do it again. EJ, the main guy on staff, decided to spray paint over the mold instead of actually diagnosing the problem and carrying through with it in a professional manner. To newcomers and students of the East Orlando area, I urge you, DO NOT LIVE HERE unless you want to live somewhere where the management likes to cover the problems that residents have with the buildings/apts, instead of actually taking the time in a precise, punctual and prompt manner to get rid of each and every problem. May 2016: Off the main road so it's pretty quiet and just a laid back community. The staff is nice and willing to help you with whatever you need. Apartments are spacious and the amenities are good. Maintenance responds to requests in a timely manner and the valet trash service is great. Review from 5/6/16 on Google
May 2016: I love my experience here. Mercury is pretty quiet so there isn't much noise to worry about. The location is also really convenient since it's close to UCF and other stores too. The staff in the office are always really friendly and on top of things. Review from 5/3/16 on Google
Mar 2016: I do not recommend this student housing. I want to stress by saying you are responsible for your safety in your dorm room that you pay for. The staff is very rude and won't respond to your issues in time. If you dare to bring it up again they will treat you like crap. So do yourself a huge favor and do not consider moving there. Dec 2015: I think this place is alright, I'm not a very picky dude so I like this place given that it is relatively spacious and it's affordable. Now I do have a problem with the internet service that is given to the residents here. The internet service more often than not is terrible, I mean GARBAGE. I've lived in a third-world country for a while and I had better internet than here. Review from 12/6/15 on Google
Oct 2015: Pros: •Extremely spacious rooms (with a large bathroom and walk-in closet) •Never had an overages AT ALL and my 3 roommates and I use our electricity and water very very generously. •A full laundry ROOM •huge windows with a great view (at least my apartment has a good view of the forest. We see deer almost every night from out living room window). •management and those working in the front office have never given us problems. Everything is cleared quickly and sufficiently. Cons: •raccoons are everywhere. They have learned how to open the locks on the trash so definitely watch out for those. •Because of the raccoons, trash is littered throughout the hallways, but you never 'hangout" in the hallways, so it's not a big deal. Sep 2015: My daughter loves her 1st college apt experience at Alafaya. The price is great for the space, I toured other communities the area and Alafaya has more square footage. The transition and move in was smooth. Although maintenance has not fixed my cosmetic requests yet, they fixed the major things. Alafaya has different community activities on the weekends that makes them feel welcomed! Review from 9/7/15 on Google

Jul 2015: 4BD/4BA. Rate is a decent price. Room furniture is kind of old, and I feel should be more modernized. Maintenance takes like a week to complete work orders. Otherwise, not a bad place to live. Rooms, bathrooms, and closets are the biggest I've seen in Orlando. Definitely worth the price. Review from 7/29/2015 on Apartment Ratings
Jul 2015: Great and quiet neighborhood. Easy commute to UCF. Maintenance and customer service is great. Review from 7/1/2015 on Apartment Ratings
Jun 2015: The office is uncooperative most of the time and I've gotten attitude from the managers. When our washing machine broke in my first apartment they didn't consider it an "emergency" and it was left unfixed for over 2 weeks. When I switched apartments, the AC was broken and they took another 2 weeks to actually fix it. Then, because of the broken AC, mold began to build up in the wall and the carpet in front of the unit which they also failed to fix in a timely manner. Around the same time as the AC, something began leaking in our kitchen and it took over a month for them to even attempt to figure out what the problem was. I'll be glad to get out of here and I won't look back. Review from 6/19/2015 on Apartment Ratings
Aug 2014: My first year here I did not have many issues with the complex. The shuttle to UCF was convenient and my apartment was decent. In comparison to other student housing properties in the area, this one is old. The washer/dryers, dishwasher, and stoves are all outdated. The A.C. units are also outdated. Because of this, one could argue that higher utility overages are more likely here. My first month living here, my roommates and I received an overage of $30/each. We were shocked. We decided to that we would never set the A.C. below 76 (This made a huge difference). However, what made the BIGGEST difference in our overages was demanding managers/ maintenance for a DIGITAL THERMOSTAT. Our overages significantly decreased after this was installed, and we were happy. As a property, the standard of living has definitely gone up. Review from 8/1/14 on Google
Jul 2014: Me along with 2 of my roommates had issues with our 4th roommate. We did counseling and it didn't work. Our roommate is disgusting and nasty we have cockroaches everywhere in the kitchen because he doesn't clean up! We've told management several times and we were told that if the problem persists that he would get a cleanliness violation. Nothing at all. They are very accommodating to him though, when my other 2 roommates asked to have him transferred to a different apartment, they asked the bad roommate if he wanted to move, he said no, so now they have to move all of their stuff when it would have been much easier to just move him.
