Oct 2019: Tjis is the first time I have lived in an apartment and I am extremely happy that I choose The ICON. The staff are very friendly and assist me with any questions. I have had small areas that I needed assistance and the Maintenance department was here the same day to correct the situation. I have a dog and he enjoys walking around the community and loves to run in the dog park. Review from Google

I lived here a few years ago and still no apartment I've stayed in before or after has rivaled these. It was an actually something great that came from a bad situation. Initially I had signed to live at a place I won't name nearer to Tech, but after some horrific mismanagement that left me without a place to live days before I was set to move to Lubbock, I ended up finding an amazing deal at Icon last minute. And I'm glad I did!
I loved it because the atmosphere and location are amazing, the floor plans are SOOO spacious, there's tons of counter space in the kitchen, plenty of parking, it's immaculately clean, I felt safe there, it's a gorgeous property, and I just generally have super fond memories of the time I lived there.
Couple notes: I was worried about the electric bill in Lubbock since LPL is the only supplier and they have AWFUL reviews online lol, but it was always very reasonable and much cheaper than I've paid in other parts of TX Review from Google
Oct 2019: I've lived at the icon apartments for 6 months now and I've enjoyed it so far. They're quiet apartments and can rarely hear your neighbors. Everyone here is nice and friendly and the apartments are pretty nice! There are also 0 signs of bugs because they spray a few times a year which is so appreciated. The management has been great so far and are quick to help with whatever we need. The maintenance is also really fast to help out if anything weird happens in your apartment. definitely recommend this complex in Lubbock. Review from GoogleSep 2019: Pros:
Great property. They have garages very close for our convenience. Well maintained and very clean. Stainless steel appliances work great, and my fridge is huge! (so is my pantry). I love the tile flooring in the bathroom/kitchen. ALSO. Washer/Dryer hookups are in the bathroom and not the kitchen. Very nice touch! The apartments are spacious, and have no had any major issues so far. Love the pool, and gym too. Great amenities. Maintenance team is amazing. Very quick, and helpful.
Cons:
If you are noise sensitive, bottom floor may not be for you. I can hear my upstairs neighbor on some occasions. Although it doesn't bother me too much. When summer rolls around, everyone goes to the pool and it's very annoying when most of them do not live at the Icon. That's the only real con. Maybe wrist bands could fix that problem. Apr 2019: Best apt complex on the west. All staff here are the friendliest. I work early in the AM and maintenance staff never fails to have a smile and say good morning. Office staff is A+++++++. If you have an issue or need something fixed, they get to it same day or within 24hrs. Never fails. Love this place. I never mentioned im from AZ and they help me with my entire process with no hiccups from over 800 miles away to get me and my family an apt right here while no one else in the area would call me back. I have lived in student housing for 5 years and then rented a home and now currently renting a home after moving out from The Icon. The apartment themselves (the unit, as they refer to it) are clean on inside and constructed nicely. Shortly after moving in, we discovered the walls are paper thin, you can hear your neighbor blending a smoothy, hear them using the restroom and also can hear them showing their love. To accomodate the paper thin walls, they have quiet hours, which are in place from 10 pm to 7am. The apartments are built very cheap; it's something you don't notice when you first get a tour of the beautiful showroom. The insulation is horrible as well. Once the A/C comes on it gets real nice and cold, but upon the A/C turning off, the room is uncomfortably warm in less than 5 minutes. They try their hardest to get you to sign the lease however you realize afterwards that they weren't telling the whole truth. We were told our whole family of 6 could join us for a nice afternoon but later learned that wasn't true. The Manager Jessica is extremely rude as well. Do not believe the reviews and stars that are posted. I moved from Montana to the Icon in Lubbock almost at the beginning of their existence. The carpet was never stretched in properly and waves started to form. The tile in both bathrooms and kitchen have plenty of corners to catch from not being leveled. The kitchen cabinets were not hung level either. We haven't even gotten to their management policy's. I noticed that I was being charged a credit card fee when paying my rent online using a direct withdrawal or ACH. No credit card is used. When I asked about it I was told that it didn't matter that I wasn't using a credit card. Then the fee was miraculously changed to a convenience fee. Review from 12/4/16 on GoogleApr 2016: I have not lived in an apartment in years and did not know what to expect when I moved in earlier this year. So far the staff and apartment have been excellent. Would definitely recommend this place. The grounds are well kept , office staff is very friendly and I have not had any problems with timely service. The pool is well maintained and the workout facility is clean and has the machines I need. Very nice!
