Nov 2018: I sub-leased my apartment, however 3 years after I moved out I had a collection agency call me and request money that The Holly said still owed. Unfortunately, I didn't save a copy of the sub let agreement, so I had to pay the 6 months of rent. Very unprofessional! Keep records of everything for this complex. They are dishonest.
Nov 2018: I have been living here for 3 years now and honestly it has been a great experience for me. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. Anytime I’ve had to request a work order it is addressed the same day. Everyone here is so committed to making your stay at the holly as comfortable and stress free as possible. Nov 2018: Going on my third year living at The Holly and well... I LOVE IT! The staff is super friendly and very professional at all times. Very spacious and clean complex with all the amenities you need! Two beautiful pools, a recently renovated club house, a very nice pond (which my dogs absolutely love), and a dog park on site! I have never had a bad experience here due to great management! If there is ever a problem with my unit I can count on the maintenance staff to fix it quickly, usually within the same day! Jun 2018: I’ve lived at the holly for a year now and I haven’t had any major problems with this place. In fact, I resigned my lease. I live in a 4 bedroom apartment and for what you’re paying, it’s GREAT! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I think there are still a few things they need to do in order to become even better! You can tell they’re constantly working to make these apartments the best place to live but I feel that they’re priorities are off.
They recently replaced flooring and that was amazing because it made the apartment look 10x better! I would suggest that they replace the kitchen countertops/bathroom counter tops next because they’re not really granite- just painted. They’re very hard to clean and don’t look nice at all. Jun 2018: The Holly is very nice with good prices and location to the school. They have a bus service that will pick you up and bring you home. Mostly i just want to point out Ms. Ashley. She was so sweet and very professional.She was super knowledgeable and so so helpful, was able to answer all my questions and took me on a very thorough tour. May 2018: I honestly did not like living at the Holly. The walls were paper thin. Every single night I could hear the girl above me coughing, and the person next to me had a dog that howled nonstop. When i moved in, it was horrendously dirty. And I had to find a place to stay for a week so they could clean it properly. MAINTENANCE IS TERRIBLE!!! They never come when asked. I had an incident where I had an emergency and I called three times within an hour, and they never came. I, again, had to find somewhere else to stay for the night because of that. The construction on Erskine has only been a mild inconvenience, but now it’s getting outright ridiculous! Students at the Holly are unable to use their own designated bus stop because they are closed off and instead have to walk over to the Republic to get to campus. The construction workers should be given three months to finish or be fired. Seriously, they’ve been working on that street throughout my entire year of living at the Holly. Its a place not only you can call home, but a great place to play as well. There are 2 huge pools one on either side of the property to make your days off fun and relaxing. There's even a beach front area to go fishing, a weight room to keep your body well toned and free coffee for those sluggish days. People here are always friendly, polite and very quiet.
But above all the Staff at The Holly are always fantastic. Never a problem they can't solve and always go the extramile if you ever need anything. Mar 2018: I’ve lived here for about 6 months and have had no issues at all. The Holly is just as nice(if not nicer)than many of student apartments around Tech and the price is unbeatable. The office staff is great, they put on nice events with free food very often and the maintenance staff always come within a couple of hours after your request. Not sure why there are so many bad reviews, have had nothing but a good experience so far. Review from GoogleFeb 2018: This place is absolute trash. I lived there for 3 years. The first 2 years were okay, but during that time, none of the amenities that they promised were actually available. Their clubhouse was terrible, the gym had broken equipment, and that was only if it was even open. Most of the time it wasn't. The gate was always broken or not in use, so it wasn't a "gated" community. In addition the "theater" was used to store their mail. They would lose some packages, you name it. During the third year (2016), a new company took over. Woodlark, I think. They started renovating things and I had some optimism. However, when I moved out that May, they were prompt to add a community addendum which you were bound to accept by the contract as part of the contract. Feb 2018: I've lived here for almost a year and have never had any complaints. The management has always been helpful along with awesome maintenance. It's also pretty nice because they put on free events like pool parties, casino night, or just free food days and sometimes do raffles, it's a fun environment to live at! Review from Google
Jan 2018: I’ve come to visit my friends here many times and I’m always quite impressed! The layout is simply beautiful, along with everyone having their own bathroom-nice perk! VERY pet friendly and you see the residents always cleaning up after their pets(people don’t always do that, so it’s nice to know you’re not gonna walk outside and step in any p**p) This place keeps everything very clean as well. We’ve gone swimming many times and I’ve never seen the pool look dirty. Oh, and I went to one of their movie nights this past summer! We got to sit out by the pool and watch Logan. They offered us complementary drinks and snacks and I thought that was amazing! The staff was very nice and polite as well. I could go on and on!
