Jul 2019: ---- Edit: An important note, this complex does seem to be relatively free of pests in the apartments themselves, which is a challenge most complexes struggle with. Additionally, the pool has been open as well. ---- This complex has recently come under new ownership during this summer. With the change in ownership, there have been many ongoing renovations to the complex, including new paint and siding for the exterior, replacement of old windows, and renovations of the main office. For the improvements they are making, there still remains much that the complex simply has not addressed yet. It is mid July, and the pool remains unclean and locked. The owners have prioritised the most visible issues, like painting, and ignored the issues that affect the residents directly. There is so much dog feces on the grounds, the smell is unavoidable. The complex has also ignored any cleaning services for the facilities in it's entirety, including the stairwells and common laundry room, with many machines filled with insects, unused laundry soap, and other Out of Order machines Review from Google

Mar 2019: Smokehouse. don't deserve even single star. In last one year, I complained 4 time about smoking problems from some ppl. can't sit in my hall because poor construction and smoke smell. Management just put notice in front of building. don't bother to take any action. Instead on checking property, prefer to stay in office. No video surveillance and no facilities. U will see sewer problem in laundry room. There is free and unrestricted restroom for pets on the ground. Just give them rent on time and live with unsolved problem. No matter how u will live. Their duties are just for money not for clients. It's better not to select this property. There are many good options in Lubbock. Review from Google
Dec 2018: The rent is a bit too high (~$650/mo for 2bed 1.5 bath) for the quality of living - frequent water outages, half the laundry machines not working. Laundry Pains: Nearly half the washers and dryers are out of order and have been so for months. Washing clothes is a problem on week day mornings not to mention weekends. Under staffed maintenance: The maintenance staff are good and they work hard, but are understaffed. The mean time to complete a work orders is from weeks to months. Poor Plumbing: We have been getting a notice of water shut off at least twice a month. They used to schedule it off hours. But more recently, we have been surprised with increasingly unscheduled water outages. Security Concerns: My friend living in the same apartment complex had her car vandalized. It appeared that two of the cars had people jumping on the roofs. I Review from Google
Dec 2018: The rent is reasonable (~$600/mo for 2bed 1.5 bath). Usually peaceful. Laundry Pains: Nearly half the washers and dryers are out of order and have been so for months. The mean time to complete a work orders is from weeks to months. Poor Plumbing: We have been getting a notice of water shut off at least twice a month. They schedule it off hours, but once in a while, we are surprised by unscheduled water shutoffs. Aging construction: We get a draft of cold air from the cracks in the door and windows. Keeping the house at 65F-70F can rack up over $120 in electricity bills. As long as one does not need a serious work order taken care of it is a okay place to crash at nig Review from Google
Aug 2018: I stayed here for half a year, I was not satisfied. The internet is horrible which is provided by Suddenlink, which is also horrible. The service was slow. They take ages to respond to maintenance issues. However it is cheap and the bus stop is literally right next door. I would not stay here if I had an opportunity. Review from Google
Jul 2018: We recently moved out of college pointe. It's not a place where you can live peacefully. Not because of the environment, but you will have trouble with the management. About 3 managements changed over the period we stayed there and none of them were least concerned about your issues. We had many issues to share with you but these are some of the most irritating situations we faced. Very often, you will have a water shutdown. They hardly respond to mails regarding issues. They are not always available in office during their office hours. We had a water leakage problem from ceiling. We complained a lot for about 6 months and finally got that resolved. And finally when we moved out, the management inspected the apartment and they gave us a final statement saying no issues. A month later the new management came in and they charged us a $160 Review from Google
May 2018: These are suitable for international grad students because it is cheap and the bus service to TTU... Review from Google

Mar 2018: Great place to live. They handle maintainance issues efficiently. Chris at the office helps us out anytime we have something to be fixed. I love it for the atmosphere. Highly recommended. Review from Google
Mar 2018: Great place to live. I love it for the atmosphere. Never had any problems with anyone working here. The Staff here is great. Whenever wanted any help in anything Chris at the leasing office always help out. The manager here Gen are always willing to talk one on one to get to the end of any problem. Highly Recommended. Mar 2018: Hey don't let my lastname confuse you haha. This is a legit review. So I love this place, the apartments are perfect and close to campus, if you are like me and need a place to start with your wife, this is the place to go. It's not your honeymoon destination, but it's an affordable place to stay for a couple. The neighbors are pretty much all ingenius people from india and i feel pretty safe about that. The staff here try everything they can to Make this place Great Again! Review from Google
Feb 2018: Full of bugs and roaches. Very old apartments. No renovation. Leasing office staff are not available during office hours, fines without proper reasons and doesn't follow lease rules. Review from Google
Jan 2018: The apartment is quiet old but a good value for the money spent on rent, if you go to Texas Tech University. The property is close to TTU and TTUHSC. The apartment even has it's own laundry facility. There is a bus service to and from the university to this property, meaning you don't really have to drive to campus. This apartment is student friendly. Be reminded that the apartment is not a furnished apartment like other student living apartments in Lubbock. Review from Google
Dec 2017: We moved to College Pointe from New Mexico. We have been here 7 months now and there have been no problems to speak of. Property Manager Gen Dorn is Amazingly helpful and Chris the maintenace tech is constantly making sure the property is taken care of. We could of chosen any other property to move in to. We chose College Pointe for several reasons. Its location to Texas Tech , The property is clean, The residents and staff are friendly.. If you are looking for a place in Lubbock, stop by and talk to Gen first..Tell her Joey sent you... Review from Google
Aug 2017: I have lived here for a year now and had no major problems. The maintenance is understaffed and the mean time between a request and service could be between weeks to months. The place is mostly inhabited by foreign students. Review from Google
Jul 2017: I have lived at College Pointe for 3 years. I don't feel that any bad experiences happened here that weren't rectified. The buildings are a bit old, but anytime I had a problem, the maintenance staff was there either that day or the next to fix what he could and order parts if necessary. As far as bugs go, I didn't have a problem because I cleaned up after myself in my apartment. The only reason I left is because I moved into a house with my wife. The current manager, Gen, is a great person to work with. When I moved out, my entire deposit was returned to me. This apartment is a great place to stay for a student at Tech. It takes about 10 minutes to arrive to class on a bike, or just a few minutes driving. I feel that if you pay your rent on time and clean up after your mess, this apartment complex is a great place to stay. Review from Google
May 2017: Please Listen!!!! STAY AWAY!!! I lived here for 2 years!!! I was a faithful tenant who got screwed in the end. This complex would leave their sprinkler system on and the water would come into my apartment and leave Mildew on MY rug!!! They charged me $800 on move out!! They claimed I was responsible for the carpet!! And they kept my deposit as well. Also the dish washer had so many stains on move In. The tub was also filthy on move in. These people are money hungry and will scam you. Worst apartment complex hands down. Review from 5/2/17 on Google
Apr 2017: First, the pros: -Close to TTU campus, and very affordable -The internet connection speeds are higher than I am used to, about 30 Mbps download -Apartment (1bd/1ba) is quite spacious for the price, ~750 sq ft -Community is quiet, and common areas are generally clean. -Office personnel are friendly and eager to help you. -Tons of parking available for you and your guests. Cons: -Found a few roaches in apartment upon move in, but pest control is provided, you just have to talk to the office. Review from 4/15/17 on Google
Jan 2017: Be careful when you moved out...your final bill is NOT your final bill. I lived at College Pointe for over 3 years. When I moved out I didnt mind if I get my deposit back or not because I understand there will be wear and tear over the years that would need a little TLC. I had carpet shampoo...scrub bathroom and bleach everything...replace all light bulbs....Pretty much did my best to left the place with little to nothing to be move in ready. Yet somehow my final bill was $80 some...3 months later after I had moved out I received a call for the "new" final bill for $180 something????!!!! I was a faithful tenant. Sep 2016: I have lived here for years. At first it was good. Now it is horrible! Nothing gets repaired, things like air and hot water are not important to the company it seems. Lighting is a problem, it is not safe here. Cars are hit in the parking lot and people just drive off. Management is rude and unfriendly. They cannot even keep a maintenance man employed for any amount of time. Review from 9/6/16 on Apartment Ratings
Jul 2016: I'm a current resident of college pointe. The apartments are super bad. Roaches are crawling everywhere. It's by far the worst places I have ever lived in. The apartment manager is a middle-aged lady who is not courteous at all, and is super rude .There is no security . I have had random drunk guys bang my front door after midnight . There are puke stains in the corridor. You really wouldn't want to live here . If you see any good ratings for this apartment, it is probably from the staff . Review from 7/25/16 on Apartment Ratings
Jan 2016: Cheap and best Orton for Tech Students. It has roaches in some apartments, the maintenance is okay. You get what you pay for. Review from 1/26/16 on Google
