Sep 2017: Extremely overpriced for the amount of space you receive. Management looks to nickel and dime you over fees. If you are looking for a space close to campus do not live at Sanctuary lofts. The vistas is a better option or perhaps even the Pointe. Pool is always freezing and the rooms have not been updated at all. Review from Google
Sep 2017: They nickle and dime you and overcharge for everything including the tiny space. Would not recommend to anyone unless you like to be charged with no standard fees Review from Google
May 2017: DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! I give zero stars if possible. Wayyy to overpriced. I was paying around $600 for a 4 bedroom apartment, and moved to a 2 bedroom apartment in another complex and I am paying the SAME PRICE!!! Rooms are small, and not worth it. All the appliances are extremely outdated. Staff can be difficult to work with, and does not keep your information confidential. The community assistants told my roommates lies on why I was moving out, and were extremely rude. Review from 5/18/17 on Google
Mar 2017: I am absolutely obsessed with Sanctuary Lofts. The location is great- right by Texas State University and downtown. My room is so comfy and just the perfect size for any college student. And the staff are amazing! They are so nice and fix any problem I have within a day or two. I can't say enough good things about this place. If I was planning on living in San Marcos another year, I definitely would have renewed my lease. Review from 3/2/17 on Google
Feb 2017: Overall, it's a great apartment. Since I have all my classes at MCCOY Business college, the location is awesome. The rooms are great and the staff is nice. The parking garage is closed off which is great, but the gate gets broken a lot and they take forever to fix it. Other then that it's a good apartment in a great part of town and I would recommend it to anybody. Review from 2/24/17 on Google
Feb 2017: Santuary Lofts has been a great experience for me. I love being so close to campus, free printing is wonderful, and there are a lot amenities. My biggest complaint would be the pricing. Rent is quite expensive, plus utilities on top of that. Also, next year rent is increasing and they are going to start charging for parking. Though Sanctuary has been good for me so far, I know price is a big reason more of my friends and classmates don't live here. Review from 2/22/17 on Google
Feb 2017: Only a minutes walk to campus, downtown and HEB so everything you'll need is only a step away. The apartments are always well maintained and maintenance responds VERY quickly. Anyone looking for an apartment close to campus should make this apartment complex their first choice. Review from 2/17/17 on Google
Feb 2017: Rent is a bit expensive, but reasonable compared to other apartment that is located close to campus. It takes me ten minutes to walk to my department which is the family and consumer science building. When I first moved in, I was disappointed the furniture had paint marks and smudges. They did a great job with roommate matching, I get along with two out of the three roommates I was assigned to. The apartment is located close to HEB. Review from 2/15/17 on Google

Feb 2017: Sanctuary Lofts is the perfect location between school, the square, and basically everything in San Marcos. The prices are affordable for the location you're getting. The amenities are also nice and I haven't had any issues with it. Staff are usually always friendly and I always see maintenance doing something around the complex. Overall a good area and good affordability. Review from 2/10/17 on Google
Feb 2017: friendly staff, great location, free waffles on Wednesdays! What more could you want?! I love living here- its close to campus and the square. They do a pretty decent job at keeping the halls clean and responding to work orders. parking can be a hassle at times but it's usually not too bad! I've never had any HUGE problems here. Jan 2017: If you're looking for a quaint, relatively quiet, and affordable place to live that is extremely close to Texas State University and the downtown portions of San Marcos, Sanctuary Lofts may just be the place for you. The property is clean and well-kept, and the management and office employees are attentive and respectful to residents and guests. In addition, the management staff does a great job communicating with residents via email, text alerts, and door flyers. The maintenance staff are extremely responsive and thorough, which can be hard to come by in apartment communities. Visitor parking can vary in availability throughout the week and time of day, but that comes with the territory of living at an apartment complex near downtown. Generally speaking, my friends and family have very few issues with snagging a spot. The only downside of liv Review from Google
Jan 2017: The location and affordability is absolutely amazing with this place. Right across the street from an HEB, a couple blocks from downtown and Texas State campus; you can't beat this location. Great amenities including covered parking, resort-style pool, and the largest apartment complex gym in town! The staff is incredibly friendly and extremely helpful. Maintenance responds very quickly to any problems you may occur. Great place to live for a great price! Review from Google
Nov 2016: great first apartment. the downsides are utilities are pretty high and me and my roommate try to be conservative but it seems like that wasn't enough, another downside which may not be bad to some but i personally don't like how far the walk is and i would rather ride the bus to campus honestly and having to ask for a parking pass for guest can get tiresome especially when you don't know people want to come over until the office is closed (which is where you get the passes from). rent is pretty expensive, you're really paying for location and depending on what side the complex your on the view is pretty nice and were super close to the HEB which is great if you didn't bring your car. Review from 11/5/16 on Google
May 2016: I lived at the Sanctuary Lofts from August 2015 through graduation. The management promptly takes care of issues and never lost a rent check. They immediately tell me if packages arrive. It's the best location in San Marcos. HEB is one block away and the Square is a short walk. You're right off the campus. You do not need a car but still have a parking garage. Excellent amenities. If you want to party then live elsewhere. My roommates and I were social. I could study without loud neighbors. Look here before renting further away from campus for more money.
Apr 2016: I've lived at Sanctuary Lofts since August 2014, and I honestly love living here. It's 99 steps from campus, you get free covered parking and tanning, gym and pool access, and you're just a short walk from the river, downtown, the grocery store, etc. etc. etc. The location is perfect for someone who wants to walk or ride their bike to class/around town. Rent is steep, but you get what you pay for - awesome amenities, quick maintenance and fully-furnished rooms. Review from 4/23/16 on Google
Apr 2016: Location is obviously great, and the apartment is comfortable and good to live in. With room mates, it's a breeze. Work orders are handled with hardly any waiting and always by nice people. The staff are always willing to help out. Great place to live, I always recommend it. Only problem is that it helps to have room mates already, but if you have that it's great. Review from 4/21/16 on Google
Apr 2016: The best part about this apartment complex is that I can roll out of bed and walk to class. Super close to campus, and I don't have to take a bus, which is the best. I signed again to live here next year because I like it here so much. Maintenance is awesome and super fast. They come the day you call, or the next. Everyone that works in the office is super nice and helpful, and the amenities here are great. Overall, I would suggest living here. I love it. Review from 4/16/16 on Google
Jun 2015: not worth the time or money living here unless the only thing you care about it being able to walk to campus. Roommate matching is terrible, almost as if they didn't even look at your profile and put you with people who obviously DO NOT match up. Rooms are literally so small that it feels like you are living in a dorm room. Management has lost my rent check and utilities checks and I almost had to re-pay the fee even thought it was their fault. One of my best friends lives here also (not in same apt) and she has had a great experience, so I guess you will either love it or hate it. Review from 6/29/15 on Google
May 2015: I live on the first floor in a 2 bedroom apartment. I have had zero issues with management as described in other reviews. The gym is great, parking on the first level garage is great other than the puddle of water but even then i just walk around it. There are times when the people upstairs get loud, but what do you expect, its college? Any packages I've received they send me an email to notify me. The hallways do look a little boring but other than that the apartment complex is great. Review from 5/3/15 on Google
Apr 2015: These reviews are ridiculous. I've been living here for about 2 years now leaving me with only minor complaints. The location is great and the apartment isn't nowhere near as bad as people make it sound. Management has always been prompt and professional. I will live here until I graduate. For the people wondering: this is definitely not a party apartment complex. Very quite and neat. Review from 4/28/15 on Google
