Jul 2019: I really enjoyed living there. My room and roommate was great. They were super organized and understanding of student life. Not to mention, managing is phenomenal. Zach is excellent, and if I decide to live in an area, I know I would be happy to stay at Millennium. Review from GoogleJul 2019: I definitely recommend living in this complex. They are super accommodating to your needs and understand the life of a college student. My move in was flexible and they matched me with a great roommate! Maintenance is also extremely responsive and the apartment is very clean and spacious. I wish I would have chosen the Millennium when I first moved to San Marcos. Jul 2019: I've lived in San Marcos for 4 years and have moved complex to complex and dealt with numerous bad management. Millennium has by far been the best complex I've lived in. Jun 2019: Excellent living experience here. Rent was very affordable, the rooms are very spacious and roomy, full bathroom, and also a large walk in closet. The new management has been very attentive to make sure every resident is happy, even when it comes down to your last couple of weeks there. If you have a problem let them know and they’re very quick with fixing the issue. The complex is very close to a bus stop so you don’t need a parking pass for Texas state. The other residents are friendly, overall it’s a great environment/atmosphere. Highly recommended this place if you’re looking for a place to live in San Marcos. Since moving in on 8/15/18, there has been a horrible vibration and humming sound coming from multiple places in my floor. Given where they are, and that they are nearly always on, there isn't anything it could be except for the ceiling fans of the unit below me. It seriously sounds like there's a transformer or generator below my room. My own ceiling fan makes a similar sound but to a lesser degree.
So, I put in a work order within a few days. It is almost a month later now, and they are still so loud and strong that I can feel them in my bed, I can hear them through earplugs, and they prevent me from sleeping more than a few hours at a time. Okay I understand we signed an agreement but when we called to pay the fee they said it had to be in the form of a check. No one uses check these days. Get your act together! I have had many issues within the apartment since I moved in aug 2017 that continued on until now, a month before move out. The gates haven’t worked and neither has the hot tub, both were huge selling points for me when I chose this place. So my year was awful.
Although everything was so bad for almost my entirety of my lease, management did a very good job of finally getting everything I asked for fixed from electrical issues, to missing smoke alarms, to new blinds, and they finished them within 3 days, 100% on my schedule. Which was awesome!
The complex needs to work on upkeep and do more to enforce residents picking up their animals droppings because maintenance is who picks everything up and it’s just not right. Jonathan and his staff do such a wonderful job of making themselves available to the residents for their needs. He even helped me resolve a situation and move into apartment within the same complex.
All of the apartments are spacious with granite countertops and a lovely brown wood laminate flooring. The closets are huge, which was a huge selling point for me, and the rooms are a great size with large windows and true, high ceilings. The 2 bedrooms and 4 bedrooms are essentially the same size, the only difference being that the 4 bedroom has 2 awesome balconies, and 2 living rooms instead of one. My main problem is the management. They somehow misplaced mine and at least 4 others rents for about 4 months. They posted eviction letters, after submitting bank statements and check numbers you would think this would be fixed. But no, I had to resubmit my bank statements 3 times and now, after 5 months they have just cleared the charges on my account. But wait...they are now charging me $2.50 for renewing my lease a year ago? Yes. Two dollars and fifty cents. I’ve lived in several apartment complexes and never had any issues like this.
