Jun 2019: I have lived here for 2 years, and I can honestly say I regret having to leave. The only reason I am not resigning at this property is because I am moving to a different city. Cathy is by far the best manager you could ask for at a complex. She not only genuinely cares about her residents but she does whatever she can to make sure you are happy. Once my A/C froze up. I fixed it by turning it off and back on, but she told me that I shouldn't have to deal with that and got the awesome maintenance staff to stop what he was doing to look at it. Maintenance is fantastic and the walking trails are awesome, especially if you have dogs. Bryce is the assistant here and he has a fantastic personality to the point that you are excited to pick up your mail. I would recommend this place to anyone in the San Marcos area. I am said to leave this gem behind. Review from Google

Jan 2018: Overall, I liked the size and plainness of the facility. It's a no frills apartment (and with a washer dryer!) I did however have a massive rat problem while living at this complex. Manager, Kathy, seemed unresponsive to the problem and I had to catch and dispose of all of the rats on my own for weeks. It made me feel very uncomfortable living in the space. I considered moving (and was advised to do so by the campus attorney) but was very busy in the middle of the semester. Review from Google

Jul 2016: I lived there for at least four years..it's quiet, the town homes are very modern and spacious, and the complex sits on top of the highest hill in town. Additionally, management is very helpful, polite, and acommodating. Maintenance issues are fixed quickly and done right the first time. Recommend for single families or students that are looking for a safe and quiet apartment/town home for the kids or roommate between work and semesters at local colleges. Mar 2015: I lived at Highcrest for a year and I loved it. I never had any problems with the management and the maintenance staff was always on top of things. The property grounds were always clean and the community is very well lit. I definitely recommend this place.
