Oct 2019: I love living at Country Oaks! It’s been a true blessing moving here after living at another place with poor management and even worse maintenance. The entire office staff at Country Oaks are welcoming, kind, and helpful, while always going above and beyond to resolve any concerns in a super timely manner. The maintenance has been on top of every request very quickly and even helped with things not included on our requests when they noticed. Don’t hesitate to apply here, I can assure you nowhere else in San Marcos compares when it comes to service, this team is awesome! Review from Google
Jul 2019: I lived here for about three years. The terrible reviews are pretty outdated. I enjoyed living here, and I did feel like it was home. I felt safe, and the ground were pretty well kept. They did go through a lot of maintenance workers. However, I was never disappointed with any of the maintenance teams while living here. They fixed the problems that arose in a timely manner. Apr 2019: The 1-3 star reviews are outdated. They worried us when we first moved in last summer, and they seemed to be true for the most part, but management has changed since then. We've had zero complains since the new management team took over. They've been nothing but helpful! Review from Google
Jan 2019: So thankful for this place of what I can call "great family home living". Sincerely a place where even when having A HARD DAY when life throws difficulties in my own daily living, and I want to go home here at Country Oaks I am truly blessed to find home living care pleasant, I always hear the birds singing and whether it be a neighbor, friendly office staff Jessica and Sadie, even the maintenance crew Andrew and John they are always smiling oh and there is an atmosphere of great respect. Oct 2018: Be very careful with this complex. I helped my daughter and her roommate clean for hours. As a business owner and nurse, I'm very meticulous and OCD. The apartment was spotless, fridge, drawers, laundry room, window sills etc. There was one room not done that was occupied by one of the other roommates. I attempted to clean the bathroom but the grout was moldy and needed to be stripped and replace. The manager Jessica, falsely stated that she was there the next day and it was dirty. It's really disappointing that a manager could lie and purposely charge college students on false pretenses. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE OR TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES WHEN YOU MOVE OUT!!!!! Feb 2018: Moved in Country Oaks about a month ago. The office staff and management was very helpful in the application process. The move in was great and on time. Nice, clean and roomy well maintained 2 BR apt. Every call to maintenance is prompt and repairs fixed immediately. Review from GoogleFeb 2018: I LOVE this place! Nov 2016: XXXX and XXXX are wonderful!! I have lived here for 6 months and they have done anything and everything to make our stay here very comfortable and friendly. Joseph, Jason, and Lawrence have been a spectacular maintenance team and always fix things promptly and correctly. The whole staff is amazing and very personable. Our time here was rough at first with the management shift but the current team has made everything worth it and more.

I've read other comments on here, and it sounds to me like some of these people just need to pay their rent or follow the rules and they won't have any issues with management. We stay to ourselves, go to school and work and come home, and relax. We do know our neighbors in our building and meet up for BBQ's at the park here in the complex. I love being able to have company over and entertain without driving far.

Sep 2015: Great place to live. Large open living areas, walk in closets, laundry room with full size washer and dryers. Friendly staff and prompt response to any maintenance issues. Bus pick up for Texas State University just across the street from apartment!

Post moving in ran in 2 serious issue that was not our fault, handled immaturely on their part. Im sure they deal w/ a lot of BS in past, but doesn't mean they should act rude to rest of residents. Now almost feel uncomfortable going in to talk about issues because of the way it was handled, & felt staff was unprofessional & kind of shady about situation.
