Hi, Loading...

Apr 2018: If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have only lived here since August of 2017 and I cant wait to move. NO STUDENT SHOULD EVER SIGN A LEASE HERE. Let me start by saying this, when I first moved in the empty (supposed to be clean apartment) was absolutely filthy. My mom had to completely bleach almost everything and scrub everything down for a few hours. Secondly, the first night I slept here, I woke up with bug bites all over my body, I went to the doctor and they told me that I had slept in a flee-infested apartment. When I told the front office about it, they basically accused me of lying. I then had a stalker, he came into my apartment and tried to sexually assault me. When I told the front office, they brushed it off like it was nothing. A few nights later, I met a girl who had just been sexually assaulted by the same male.
Apr 2018: My daughter has lived here for a year and a half and the office staff is a joke. They lie and tell you one thing and then try and change things after the fact even after a lease has been signed. They beg and bribe students to give them good reviews that they do not deserve. The office staff is so unprofessional and never returns calls or emails. It takes forever to get anything fixed. The entry ways to the apartments are so dirty and disgusting and need to be power washed. The gate has worked for maybe 2 months that she has lived there so far. The car wash never works. This whole place is a joke and not at all worth the money. There are many other places in College Station!!! Keep looking you will be thankful that you did!!! Review from Google
Mar 2018: Wow, what a great place for young people! Where do i start?! The Z has so many great amenities and services to their tennants- gym, game rooms, basketball and volleyball court, swimming pool, massage chairs, spa rooms, computer labs, tutor sessions, and so much more! They never hesitate to go above and beyond for residents, offering treats in the office like smoothie king and breakfast tacos, or hosting social events like game nights and pool parties for a chance to get out and meet your neighbors. They were quick to fill any maintenance request and I was particularly pleased with Michael, the leasing manager, who was incredible friendly and always available to help meet my needs. Thanks Z Islander! Review from Google
Mar 2018: This team has been very helpful throughout my daughters moving process. They are able to answer any questions that I have and are quick to respond when necessary. The grounds are beautiful, the pool is amazing! That being said.. makes feel much better about my daughter living on her own for the first time. :( Review from Google
Mar 2018: Absolutely horrible experience living here. Many things were broken in my apartment and took months to fix or never even got fixed at all. Also the office will try and trick you with bonus gift cards but will ask you to sign a document showing that you received the gift card but really it’s a lease extension agreement. So watch out for that!! Office conducts misrepresentation on tenants which is illegal. If you are planning on visiting this place or living here I strongly suggest don’t! Many other places in college station area that are way better, nicer, and more affordable. If I could rate this place with negative stars I would! Absolutely horrible experience here. Mar 2018: Are a parent: we pay a lot of money for room and board for our children. We expect professionalism and respect. This place has the worse customer service ever. They don't call back. They don't return emails. And they do not make good on their promises. While they have a lot of amenities that our children may or may not use, there are other places with better people skills and cheaper. Review from Google
Feb 2018: I toured about 20 apartments in town before signing at Z Islander and you really can't beat the deal they give you. The rooms are spacious. My 4 bedroom is 1,900 sq. ft. I had a minor issue with one of my roommates and management fixed it that day. I have been here for 6 months and have already renewed my lease. Loving it here :) Review from Google
Feb 2018: DO NOT LIVE HERE! There are many reasons why you should not live here but I will list a couple. Firstly, they lie about almost everything. There is not car wash (they promised free car wash Wednesdays) since it does not work and they do not fix anything. no security, the gate has been broken since I moved and they put a new one in for a day and the pole fell on my windshield almost breaking it. There is a bug problem everywhere and birds were in my bathroom vent for quite a while. The dishwasher was broken for the first month of living here, it had to be completely replaced. The washer and dryer gave out and it took them 2 months, countless maintenance requests, and finally coming to the front off and not leaving until it was finally fixed. The AC/heater gave out in December and they have yet to replace it even though they claim to have "compl Review from Google

Jan 2018: I would never support nor live at a place that constantly sends the amount of spam mail that this complex does to student emails and houses. Especially when said student never gave them any such information themselves. So dissapointed in companies that do this. Review from Google
Jan 2018: The ZIslander apartments is a great place to be. Michael, one of the gentlemen at the front office is the type of person that would help you in anyway that he can to make your stay as comforting and easier. Work orders get a respond really fast and the job get done that same day. ZIslander, is a welcoming place along with all kinds of fun events that goes on through out the year. Again, thank you Michael for all that you have done to make my stay a better one. Review from Google
Nov 2017: Zislander is the best of the best. They have a super friendly staff and an awesome complex. They have the best amenities in town and I have not wanted to go anywhere else! The apartments come fully furnished with two TVs which makes it a simple move in! The gym and pool are a great place to relax after all those tests! 10/10 the best place to be in college. Review from Google
Oct 2017: Probably my worst experience living in an apartment complex. Heavy party area so expect a lot of shady people visiting from outside. You'll be lucky if people aren't full blasting music on a weeknight. If you're gonna live here, for the love of God either get a single unit or find a friend to live with. DO NOT let them match you with a roommate. When I moved in I specified no drinking and they matched me with someone who did. Not to mention their background check failed to find that my roommate had a criminal record. And he acted exactly like you would expect someone with a record to act, zero consideration, full blasting music nonstop, and of course a little drug dealing on the side. Yes the complex is nice and the location is amazing, but you have to consider the trade off you are making for those things. Review from Google
Oct 2017: Place is ok, Parents, please explore all options before selecting the Z Islander. Made payments through automatic credit card on a monthly basis, then three months after move out a collection agency contacts us saying we owe $160 for misc. items. Z Islander had all of our contact information but never reached out to us. The place was much cleaner when we moved out than when we moved in. Truly a money play for everyone involved, including turning it over to the collection agency for the final bogus amount owed. Now I get daily calls from the collection agency, thanks Z Islander... May 2017: I use to love z islander. The first year was great! They changed the management and since then nothing ever get done unless you call them non stop till they get annoyed with you to finally do the job. I had roommate issues that they were suppose to move her out in a week, it turned out to be 3 weeks and it was a roommate that was sexually harassing me so I wasnt even able to live at home for a month and had to crash at my boyfriends. Review from 5/27/17 on Google
Apr 2017: This place is a great place to live. The noise is never an issue, the walls don't swam to be thin. My only problem is that most of the amenities seam to broken or unusable. The 1 propane grill at the pool has had charcoal poured in it and haven't been fixed for a year. The pool cues for the pool tables in the game room have been broken for over 6 months. There has been no sand on the shuffle board for over 6 months. & the pool basketball goal has not had a rim for over 6 months. Review from 4/10/17 on Google

Jan 2017: Beautiful apartments with screened porches, nice amenities (I love the pool and 24 hour work out room), fast service with maintenance requests, friendly and helpful front desk staff Review from 1/4/17 on Google
Jan 2017: I have been living here for half a year now because it is my freshman year and the apartment complex makes me feel very welcomed. The staff are very helpful and always try to do what they can for you. They take the time to also socialize with you to get to know you better. Not only that, the bedrooms and living rooms are very neat to me. The only cons that I run into are people partying to loud either above or below me late at night, but that is not an issue because I always have my headphones on. Because I am also a gamer, the second issue is that the internet is not always the fastest. Review from 1/3/17 on Google
Dec 2016: I've lived here for a few months now and honestly enjoy it. I'm only writing this review because I was on the edge when choosing Z Islander due to previous negative reviews that I stumbled upon, and I feel that they do not apply to Z Islander currently. The amenities are great; water volleyball by the pool is always fun, and the gym is the best I've seen for an apartment gym (also 24-hours). Maintenance has always come in a timely manner and fixed whatever needed to be fixed (even some unorthodox requests). I interact with the staff frequently to pick up packages or for other reasons and have not once had a negative interaction, in fact they learned my name long before I knew any of theirs. Jun 2016: IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING LIVING HERE: I know it looks really cool and I know that you've heard it's fun or what not, but please please re-consider. It is very different than what it looks like and you can get a much better deal for your money at a better, nicer place. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I lived here my freshman year and it was hands down one of the worst experiences of my life. 1) The model that they show you does not look like any of the actual apartments. The model is clean and in good shape; the actual apartment you will live in is not. Things are breaking, it's extremely dirty, and just overall a terrible apartment. Review from 6/8/16 on Google
Jun 2016: I could give this place zero stars I totally would!! Parents/students please please don't live here. It has been the worst experience for my daughter from the time of move in to currently. As we excitedly arrived in August, as a freshman and her first time moving out on her own, we were in for a surprise. Although the apartment was "some what" clean and made ready it definitely was not completely ready for move in. The apartment was a joke. The counter top had burn marks, the microwave was dirty, the patio wasn't cleaned, etc....The previous tenant has a dog had urinated in her room and in the living room. The dishwasher was broken, etc. Review from 6/2/16 on Google
May 2016: Updated as of 5/14/2016 Do not live here. Parents - I'm not some psycho who obsesses over small things. These apartments are TERRIBLE, dangerous, and there are way better places for the price like Campus Village or The Reserve. I've been asked while going up the stairs to my apartment if I'd like to buy drugs multiple times, last week a naked guy high on acid/shrooms was running around banging on doors for at least 30 minutes before police/EMS arrived. As much as I'd like to make this up, I'm not (videos all over Twitter) The gates are constantly being damaged, which results in management thinking it's okay to just leave them open until they get fixed. Review from 5/14/16 on Google
Nov 2015: Z is a great place to live! The office staff always goes above and beyond to help. I've toured every other housing complex in cstat, Z is the best!! Maintenance requests are handled immediately. Z is the only apartments that seem to be able to keep the pool clean. Their study rooms are great. Prices are the most reasonable in all of cstat especially for the quality of living your receiving. Review from 11/26/15 on Google
Nov 2015: Really bad place to live... I can her my upstairs neighbor's alarm every single morning when don't have school and he doesn't wake up for it at all.. The walls are really thin. People do burn outs in the middle of the night, the train gets obnoxious, takes a LONG time for them to clean the pool so it gets green to the point where you can't see the bottom, the gates in the front are a pain whenever management shuts them, RIDICULOUSLY over priced for what it is. Review from 11/20/15 on Google
Oct 2015: No problems at all. Great place and great stuff to go along with it. Huge closet and good sized room and great bathroom! Review from 10/28/15 on Google
