Aug 2019: For the price you really can't do much better. There's definitely some issues but if you're not utterly spoiled you can deal with them. It's really close to campus and the staff is usually pretty helpful, if a bit overwhelmed at times. The laundry is nothing to rave about, but that's not Eastgate's fault, it's the machines' company. But honestly I've enjoyed my time here and I'll keep recommending it for those who want a decent place for a decent price and who can deal with the few issues there are. Review from Google

I felt like I had an overwhelmingly stressful time here and wish I had paid a little more to live somewhere else first. When I moved in the previous owners had a few dogs, I had to re-clean the carpet when I moved in because I found excessive dog hair still in the carpet. I also had to repaint the walls because there were stains.
For 8 months during my stay I had a leaking window, that every time there was rain my bedroom would be soaking wet, the first time this happened alot of my belongings (TV and clothes that were in the bedroom were damaged). I notified the apartment management over and over again. They would send someone over who would essentially try to block this up with glue and it would never work Review from Google

Oct 2017: Its a good place for the price its cheap and has some flaws, but what should you expect for the price? It's close to campus, has a bus stop right outside, and is maintained fairly well.
I rented one of the 'renovated' apartments which means I got newer appliances and maybe a new coat of paint on the walls. The apartments itself was in 'ok' shape. There were paint specs on the floor in multiple rooms from careless painters, the cabinets were scuffed up a bit, and the bathroom left some to be desired in terms of repairs. With that said however, the price and location easily made up for these shortfalls.
The few times I needed maintenance were all due to issues with the A/C. The requests were handled quickly and professionally and I always had the issue resolved in less than 24 hours, often less than 12 hours from Review from Google

Aug 2016: Take a second thought before you signed the lease!! This place gave me a little quiet home at the first impression. However, even before I move in, I felt like they are short of staff. They seldom replied my emails and phone calls. I have to call several times to get answered. How could you expect someone to help you if they didn't communicate with you?

Dec 2015: I lived in Eastgate from 2009-2015 and even though the buildings are really old, the management always maintained them really well. Things especially became better after the new manager XXXX started working at Eastgate. She is responsible and has the best interpersonal skills. After I moved out, I did not receive my security deposit refund that was due to me. But all I had to do was to contact XXXX once who then took ownership and promptly followed up with me to see that things were on track.

The place is quiet and I feel safe here. The manager is very nice. Maintenance is very friendly and has always helped me with the work orders I have put in quickly. Feb 2015: I moved here in June and really love this place. The floor plan that I have is awesome and the price is really affordable. Very convenient location and on the shuttle route. Anytime I need something it is taken care of right away.

Feb 2015: I was very impressed with my initial first visit. I feel I made the right choice to rent here. So far I have no complaints. Location wise, this is the best place to be! And my rent fits my budget as a student which was hard to find when I was looking because other properties seem very proud for amenities I don't find useful (tanning gives you cancer and I could care less about basketball or volleyball). I used to live at one of the larger, brand new apartments and it ended up being party central and I had a hard time focusing on my studies. This is a small, QUIET, older complex but it's clean and reasonable and that's what I was looking for when I was apartment hunting. I plan on staying put until I'm done with school.
