Hi, Loading...

Feb 2018: To begin with, I thought the U Raleigh was great. However, living here for the past 7 months has been terrible. Maintenance comes and "fixes" things that go wrong, then the next day they are broken again. We have had problems with our dryer for the whole 7 months and they still have failed to just buy us a new one (they keep giving us 8 year old broken ones). The cockroaches are kind of bad and we are on the third floor.... but not many other bugs. Another thing that is ridiculous, is that the people on the basketball court can be as loud as they want at midnight during the week, but if we have friends over past midnight ON THE WEEKEND we get a warning then get fined. Supposedly, the basketball court closes at 11 and security will come tell them to leave, but no one is stopping them from coming back. The pool is also really dirty, seems like t Review from Google
Jan 2018: Let me first start by stating that I worked in student apartment housing for over 2 years. I understand the in's and out's of how properties like this work, and how management teams should operate and react as a result. I have never been more disappointed with a management team than I have been with the management team at The U. When I originally applied to live at this property, I was told that I would have the option of choosing either a 3rd floor or 1st floor apartment (aka what availability they had left in the style of apartment I preferred). I was also told that my monthly rate was NOT inclusive of any extra utilities and that there were no caps on utilities whatsoever. Come to find out, after I explicitly told the management team that I would need to live on the 3rd floor (due to the fact that my dog runs out of the door at the slightes Review from Google
Jan 2018: Free food Friday is amazing! A great time for struggling college students to get a free meal every week, and enjoy great food. Thank you! Review from Google
Dec 2017: This is a great apartment complex for a NC State or Meredith student! I have loved living here this year and I would renew my lease again if I wasn't looking for a backyard for my puppy. I live in a two-bedroom upgraded and furnished apartment. It is very spacious and comes with good quality furniture and appliances. I have friends that live in the non-upgraded apartments and their appliances still work well. The amenities are great and I have not had a single bad experience with them. Maintenance does take some time (max 3 days) to get done depending on how urgent it is, but there are a lot of buildings they have to tend to so it makes sense. The staff is wonderful, they always have smiles on their faces and are willing to work with you on just about everything! I will miss living here next year but I will definitely be recommending to anyone Review from Google
Dec 2017: Great size student apartments. Loved having your own bathroom and the gym is really nice. Kind of leave you screwed if you get stuck with bad roommates. It's student apartments so it can get real loud on the weekends because of parties and trying to find any parking for yourself or visitors is a nightmare. Make sure to get a parking sticker because they tow like crazy. Review from Google
Dec 2017: There are really only negative things to say about these apartments. They are overpriced, full of outdated appliances, the shuttle system is inconvenient and expensive, the door to the clubhouse was broken for months, there is barely any guest parking, and the water lines contain lead. They have refused to fix my water even though its comes out pink. The worst part is, however, is the cockroach problem. If you love cockroaches in your bedroom, your food, and all over your kitchen, then live here! They will even refuse to do anything about it! Please find somewhere else to live. I, sadly, had to choose this place last minute. Please do not make the same mistake as me. Update: It has been a month since I left this review and contacted the office at U Raleigh. They have continued to refuse to fix the cockroach problem. In fact, it has gotten wor Review from Google
Oct 2017: Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. The U Raleigh is overpriced for what you're getting. There are much nicer apartments (and houses you could rent) for the same price or cheaper. The U consistently has bugs (mostly roaches in my experience), endless maintenance issues (AC units frequently freeze and leak), there is not enough visitor parking, the kitchens are small and of poor quality. Even on weeknights it is frequently loud. The overall appearance of the community is trashy. Literally, there's just trash everywhere. I don't have many positive comments about the U and I would strongly recommend taking your money elsewhere. Review from Google
Sep 2017: Suits my requirements and close to work. Has individual leasing(private room in a 2, 3 and 4 bedroom) and all the utilities are included, if these are some things you are looking into, U Raleigh would be a nice choice. Maintenance is quick and does a great job! Review from Google

May 2017: Management is always quick to respond to my requests. The common areas of the complex are always clean and well landscaped. Bonus: the apartments have big open floor plan for a relatively low price...what's not to love! Review from 5/26/17 on Google
Apr 2017: I've liked living at the U Raleigh a lot - maintenance is quick and the office is really responsive. Great facilities and having your own room and bathroom at this price with everything else you get (utilities included, free parking, pool, clubhouse, fitness center, basketball courts, etc) is seriously hard to come by!! Would definitely recommend to all students.
Mar 2017: I have loved living here! I signed my renewal offer for next year already. The staff is always friendly and I have have hardly any issues. When I did, maintenance was super nice and helpful. would recommend living here if you are looking for an affordable place to live relatively close to campus. Review from 3/29/17 on Google
Mar 2017: Bugs and more bugs. Unit was very worn. Always doing repairs. Pool closed majority of the time. Tanning bed out of order. Not a good experience. Look elsewhere. Review from 3/15/17 on Apartment Ratings
Feb 2017: I have no complaints about The U, the new management has been very responsive and extremely helpful in all areas. They go out of their way to help fix problems and are very understanding. Maintenance is quick and complete the job every time. I recommend this place to everyone. It is close to campus, the price is all inclusive and its a lovely environment. Feb 2017: People are really hating on this place! This is my second year living here. They have changed management this second year and it is MUCH better. You receive all amenities (something I think college kids like myself take for granted) and I have never had any issues with internet or anything like that. The staff has gotten much better this year, especially with fixing things. They used to be awful at it, not fixing things and putting them off. But honestly, there is A MILLION things to fix. If its urgent you can call them or go to the office and tell them and they will fix it then or ASAP. Also, they now only take about 1 - 3 days to fix things. Things do break, which is why I put it down a star, but I have been to other college apartments and they are worse (even the ones near NCSU campus) and much more expensive. Dec 2016: I've lived here since August and aside from a few bugs here and there I can't really complain. Other apartments in the area that I've toured and know people that live there are the same quality for way more money. Maintenance may run slightly slow but you'll find that at every student apartment complex you go to. The staff has been very friendly and I've never had an issue with anyone! Overall I think it's a great place to live and have resigned already for next year. Review from 12/29/16 on Google
Dec 2016: DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!! WORST COMPLEX ON EARTH!!! The U of Raleigh is a terrible complex. The apartments are dirty and the management staff is terrible to their residents. although this specific complex was pit bull friendly for years and they are now trying to kick all residents out unexpectedly with a pit. Besides that the apartments are full of mold, holes in the walls, there is trash all over the complex, the compactor is always overflowing, is extremely overpriced for one room and is completely cockroach infested (even after pest control has sprayed multiple times), and even the pool is falling apart with cracks on the bottom, discolored water and is closed practically the whole summer. Review from 12/3/16 on Google
Dec 2016: This place genuinely sucks. The staff will just lie to get you to leave them alone and are very rude. Management doesn't care if your AC is broken or hot water is out, and won't fix it unless you pester them enough. Review from 12/01/16 on Apartment Ratings
Mar 2016: don't Move in to there , the worst staff EVER i have experienced in my whole entirely LIFE, Rude customer service and very disrespectful, besides were lot of BIG roaches, I regret being there for a short time of my life. Review from 3/15/16 on Google
Jan 2016: I have honestly loved living here. I like the spacious rooms and the new renovations on the outside look great! There are only a couple of problems I've had since I moved in: The rooms were not clean at all when I moved in, it was nasty. Also I am in an older building, so there was no light in my laundry room closet, I had to get one. In addition to that maintenance can be a little slow at the beginning of the year, but it's gotten much better. I would and have recommended this building to anyone, especially for the price of the rent it's a great place to live. Also I keep hearing about bugs in these reviews, I have seen only one cockroach since I started living here and that's it. Review from 1/18/16 on Google
Nov 2015: I have lived here for two years and I have loved it. The community is safe, and really convenient since I am an NC State Student. Every time I have had a maintenance request they have been completed in a timely manner and the staff are really nice. The apartment community hosts alot of fun events and giveaways, which make you feel like they really care about the people living here. Review from 11/10/15 on Apartment Ratings
Oct 2015: I have been living at the U for about 2 months and like it here. I live on the third floor and for the most part, things are quiet unless you have noisy neighbors. Quality of furniture and appliances is decent. Office staff is friendly but it is very hard to get maintenance requests filled. Unfortunately there is a very high pet fee and pet rent. The clubhouse is well kept and only recommendations would be to add color printer and updated computers to the lab, a hot-tub by the pool, and possibly a shuttle to campus. My biggest complaint would be maintenance staff or the lack of them. Otherwise I highly recommend. Review from 10/27/2015 on Apartment Ratings
Oct 2015: The complex has been a great place to live so far. The only issues have been the condition of the furniture that was provided in our place and the responsiveness or the maintenance staff when we've had issues with our unit. However, it is a good place to live overall with quality people. Review from 10/05/15 on Apartment Ratings
Feb 2015: Great maintenance staff!I enjoy living here, I have been living here for two years now would recommend this apartment complex to other students of North Carolina State University. Friendly neighbors and office staff. Pet friendly. Very nice place to live. Review from 2/18/15 on Apartment Ratings
Feb 2015: The U Raleigh has been a nice place to live in. I like the amount of space offered in the 3-bedroom complex I am in and the furniture that came with it is nice as well. The office and maintenance staff are both filled with great, hard-working people. The only problem I have with these apartments is the amount of noise that I hear from the parking lot. The walls are very thin and allow voices to penetrate my room very easily. The thin walls also let cold air in. Review from 2/17/15 on Apartment Ratings
Jan 2014: I love living here ! Great and Helpful Staff, Good Maintenance, Enough parking spots for everybody, and Overall Comfortable. Anonymous review from 1/26/2014 on Google
