Hi, Loading...

Feb 2020: I do not recommend living here AT ALL. The pest "control" is a joke. there are cockroaches / centipede's everywhere to start and If you have a maintenance issue like a dryer that quit working they don't seem to care enough to fix they say they are too busy and promise money off your rent and by that i quote ( A couple dollars ) or they say they will fix it tomorrow and neither are true, and I'm currently still dealing with it while its been going on over a week now and I call or go to the office in person I get no where with them. Its more of a nuisance living here then it is pleasant. don't make the same mistake I did, you'll regret it. PS: My service request was put in over a week ago, Id like my dryer fixed as yall promised and my rent prorated as Yall promised. Review from Google
Feb 2020: The apartment does not look like the one they showed in touring, the floor plan is slightly different. The big problem is that the apartment is filled with cockroaches everywhere, we tried to spray them but it wasn't enough. We requested a pest control from maintenance since it is included in the rent, their response was vague and didn't mention when they'll come to do it. We are still waiting for them. I'm highly concerned about this cockroach situation. Review from Google
Sep 2019: I like to live at Summit Avent Ferry because of the facilites that have. So we can have a good lifestyle. The pool is the best thing in the community. And it’s close from Lake Johnson, you can take a walk or run if you want to exercise outdoor. The maintenance staff is attentive and prompt when you need some repair. It would be better to live there if the furnitures and home appliances were updated, but in overall it’s good to live at Summit. Review from Google
Aug 2019: Nice location and amenities, but can sometimes be loud. The staff are friendly and maintenance is pretty quick at resolving issues. Good price for everything you get. Review from Google
Jun 2019: This apartment complex is charging luxury prices for apartments that are sub par for the area. There are pests (cockroaches and mice), the "amenities" such as the gas grills require a payment, and the apartments themselves are outdated. The central A/C units need maintenance each year, and instead of fixing my unit this year, they installed a window unit that is noisy, takes up additional space in my small apartment, and does not even cool the entire space (i.e. - my bedroom is unlivable). On top of this, the management will do their best to make sure that you are treated poorly. Upon lease renewal, they will give you ten days to make a decision based on a lower quote. However, they will not return your phone calls in time for this 10 day period. Instead, they will never return your phone calls, even though you leave your name and number, and will proceed to not be willing to give you the original quoted price Review from Google

May 2019: The pool, which was scheduled to open in two days, has been postponed for at least two weeks due to “unforeseen repairs”. Plenty of competent apartment complexes in the area with pools already open, and makes no sense that they wouldn’t be aware of necessary repairs less than two days away from the opening date unless they of course made no effort to get the pool ready for their residents until the last possible minute. Would have been nice of them to offer the use of another pool in a complex the leasing company owns in the area at the least for the holiday weekend, however it’s possible this isn’t their only mismanaged property. Apr 2019: The day I moved in, many things in my apartment are in chaos. I have been dealing with the office for over few months. The day I moved out, I was unexpectedly charged for a fee of front door key. I do have got the first, but never actually got the second. It was simply because the management team changed and they have no idea what they are doing. Will not recommended anyone living here. Review from Google

Mar 2019: If I could leave zero stars I would. Worst place I have ever lived, and that includes bag NYC apartments. I wish that I could give a positive review about this property. It is close to Lake Johnson, the apartments are spacious, and the outdoor space is nice. However, the management and maintenance are deplorable. In my time there almost every appliance in my apartment has been broken. It took over a month for my dishwasher to be repaired. My washer (that I rent from them) broke. The window in my bedroom has been broken since October, and still has yet to be repaired. During all of this, I have received little communication from the office and no compensation what so ever. Do not rent here. Review from Google
Feb 2019: The service response is overall great. However, the community is outdated. Many facilities inside the house need to be fixed or replaced. Will not recommend living here.
Feb 2019: Our contract shows we can sublease to others. But when we asked, they just replied "don't KNOW HOW TO SUBLEASE". And they let us wait until… Alright , I guess the answer is the year 9102. Already moved out. Review from Google
Jan 2019: WARNING THIS PLACE IS A DISASTER. KRISTIE BUNTING AND HER ASSISTANT ARE TERRIBLE. The apartments are run down, they just are. They DONT provide monthly maintenance(even though they say they do), like lightbulbs, air filters etc) They contestantly come up with new rules(no string lights on porches, no flags etc) maintenance doesn’t do anything. They put paint the pig, so they can get the next tenant in as quickly as possible. The buildings DONT have fire suppression systems(sprinklers), they don’t have fire alarms. Maintenance leaves old fridges and ovens out in the Breezeways for WEEKS, Which is a FIRE CODE VIOLATION (marshal has told them multiple times to MOVE it out of the way) Overall this place is a disaster, an atrocity, a wreck. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES RENT HERE. $1000 more or less for a ONE BEDROOM. There are much better apa Review from Google
Sep 2018: This is completely a trash place. Outdated apartments, windows have no screens, windows can not be lifted up, door locks are getting loose, paint on door locks are nearly gone, missing light bulbs, disposal in the kitchen sink is not working......all these issues are completely not understandable Review from Google
Aug 2018: Do not rent from this place! I've had nothing but terrible experiences with the new management. I was out of town for little over a week and had my car towed. They put notifications up by the mailbox the day after I left about their need to move our cars but failed to send emails about it. I had no idea my car was towed until my neighbor told me about it. They also started charging a pest removal fee every month but no one ever comes to spray for bugs and my apartment is becoming infested with cockroaches. They started charging for water, but the pipes they installed caused the water to have an odd taste. I've had a hole in my ceiling festering with mold that was caused by water damage but no one has come to fix it. All this, and they've increased rent by almost $200 since last year. I've rented apartments in many other areas and this one by Review from Google
Jul 2018: !!!***DO NOT LEASE HERE***!!!The worst apartment complex in all of North Carolina. Management does not care. Upper management for greystar does not care. Landscaping is a wreck, glass everywhere. Apartments are outdated. All updates that have been done are done cheaply and are already rusting away. Pool is dirty, pump doesn’t appear to be working as it’s dirty and there is no current in the water. Gym has been a mess for some time now. The office is beautiful though...They have nice wood floors, great lighting and a new kitchen along with a flatscreen. Don’t let this place steal $1000 a month for a one bedroom from you. It will be the worst decision you make. I’ll say it once more !!!***DO NOT LEASE HERE***!!! Review from Google
Jun 2018: Very bad apartment complex in general. Negatives about the updated units: —They have faux granite counter tops —Electrical outlets were poorly installed and stick out from the walls some, and it’s difficult to plug in anything—you have to use excessive force. —Parts of A/C units are still old — plumbing is bad, the toilets get clogged easily. —you might get spiders and roaches coming out of your fireplace — spiders may come out of attic if your in a upstairs unit. Positives about the updated units: —color scheme is excellent — the carpet is very nice —Its difficult to find another apartment complex with a screened porch and a fireplace. — very big floor plan Negatives about community: — there is no fire suppression system, someone DIED here because A: there isn’t a smoke detector in the bedrooms (code Review from Google
Apr 2018: This apartment complex and current management is loaded with problems. The new grills...require a $100 deposit (that you will get back) to use it, EACH TIME! NO ONE IS GOING TO USE THEM. Most of us don’t have $100 to give them because of how much we’re paying on rent. $1000 is seriously pushing it for what you get. A non updated apartment with old carpets, broken windows that don’t lock, broken door, old nasty lights and no pressure on the water faucets, old crusty under cabinets in the kitchen AND bathroom, old dirty rusted cabinets in the bathroom...$1000! Some major changes, NOT JUST to the exterior, NEED ago be undertaken. Review from Google
Feb 2018: I have lived in this complex since January 2016 and it is a quiet, serene neighborhood with lots to do nearby. Lake Johnson is beautiful and has a ton of wild life to sit and admire from a hammock. The staff is friendly and most maintenance requests are completed by the next day. It's been an awesome experience living here overall and will be sad when I have to move. Review from Google
Feb 2018: The change in management companies was key. Greystar had put awesome people in their places. The ladies in the office are extremely friendly and happy to help- they recognize and call me by name. The community amenities are cool, too. The pool and gym are not the nicest but the basketball court is a big bonus. My favorite part is the access to Lake Johnson. It's a 5 minutes walk from my door. The actual apartments are undoubtedly older units. But they seem to be well taken care of. The cost of rent is reflective of the non-luxury style. don't get me wrong, I have plenty of room and pay way less than I did downtown. You do have to get your own washer dryer, but even with that cost, I'm saving money. Lastly, parking is abundant. You'll never fight for a place near your building. That's a big bonus. And guests don't have to jump through any h Review from Google
Jan 2018: This place is great! I enjoy staying here. It has a convenient location and the new management is doing soo much to make it better. I love my fireplace and I can't wait to enjoy the warmer weather on my updated patio. It is screened in and lovely. I'm not quite sure why everyone else had bad things to say. But I highly recommend coming out and seeing it for yourself! I'm happy to call this place home. Review from Google
Jan 2018: Poorly managed since being bought out by Greystar. Apartments are old and look to be getting the cheap updates. Stove and refrigerator don't work right. I gave up having them looked at. Not energy efficient at all. Cold or hot moths you can see your electric jump up. Just received a 31% renewal notification after living here two years. My rent increase is HIGHER than what they have posted for the same apartment on their website. So be careful of the bait and switch when you visit. Would not recommend moving to this apartment complex. Review from Google
