May 2021: We lived at the Lodge at Crossroads for a little over 3 years. We saw at least 3 changes in staff while there, we didn't know anyone who worked there for long. They'd be nice for lease sign-up but were often unfriendly, unhelpful and unavailable after we became tenants. We were over-billed for our last rent payment (by approximately double of what we owed) and then when they reviewed what they were refunding us (even though I have photos showing the place was clean AND maintenance did a walk-thru telling us that all was well, we were declined a walk-thru appointment with the office when we went to their office to schedule anything with them) they charged for excessive, inaccurate amounts. Additional issues over the past 3+ years: See Google/Yelp about various mold issues.
Sep 2019: I've enjoyed living here for the last two months. The rent is reasonable, and the location is great. Target, Lowe's, and pretty much every store imaginable is only five minutes away. It's also pretty quiet for the most part. Although, sometimes, I can hear my neighbors upstairs. But that isn't too bad. The lease people working at The Lodge are also very friendly and quick to respond to emails.
The biggest downsides, however, are the constant smell of weed, the bugs, and the often, overflowing trash compactor.
Overall, it is a good place to live for people with a budget and those who don't want to drive far for groceries/errands. Review from Google
Jul 2019: When we moved in our master bedroom did not have a ceiling fan. After a few false starts I spoke to the Community Manager, Kerri. She and I had a long talk and she ordered the ceiling fan for us. Yesterday, Carlos the maintenance supervisor came and installed our new ceiling fan and it only took him about 15 minutes! Now we are all happy and the ceiling fan is being used all the time

Jun 2019: Absolutely love this place, Its been an year since my friend stays here in building 5200 and I visited her and stayed here for a month, since then I fell in love with the place and people here. May 2019: Disclaimer; I am not a resident at this property. My girlfriend and I visited The Lodge over the weekend and were immediately greeted with a smiling face from Phillip. We had no appointment and were just in the area for the day hoping to see what could be our future home.
Phillip was incredible. He was extremely knowledgable, polite, and witty. His customer service was unlike anything I have experienced - especially compared to other communities we toured that same day.
Then came the community. I’m actually quite shocked by some of the reviews. Again, I’m not a resident so I cannot speak on noise between apartments (even though you cannot have the unrealistic expectation that you’ll have complete silence in an apartment community), nor any issues with the trash compactor. Mar 2019: so noisy, i’m wondering when you’re going to finish the maintenance here ? the maintenance staff come every morning early using loudly equipments . it’s unbelievable to use the power blower daily. from january till now they work every day morning even the weekend no comfort. no consideration to sick people and infants!Oct 2018: Sent in an application for an apartment and literally had to call every day to get an update because I got no email of approval or next steps and every time I called they had no update for me. May 2018: My building is filthy, paint pealing, stained sidewalks and stairs, cloths dryers vent into hallways which are always filled with lint which then flies into the apartment. The building next to mine has small pine trees growing in the drains on the roof of the building! I can't imagine the mold problems in the ceilings. The Apartment is very noisey, I can hear every step as a pounding over my head, I am often jumping from my neighbors often drop belongings and slam draws amd doors. The carpets are worn and smell like dog, and the padding is flat and no longer creating a sound barrier. Dogs are everywhere and thry pee all over the grass in front of my building which has burned the grass and made mud puddles.

The list goes on: Terribly rude office staff, dog poop everywhere, deteriorating exteriors, paint chipping off, obnoxious behavior at the pool with no rules enforced, landscaping is non-existent (so you better like dead, bare bushes and exposed roots under trees), dirty breezeways with bugs, and a too-small trash compactor that overflows on weekends into the street.
If you want a great location with places to eat and drink within walkable distance or shopping and entertainment nearby, this is a great spot. Just know you'll be living in a deteriorating complex (I think there were almost 40 vacant units when I moved) when there are much nicer and maintained places elsewhere. Lots of broken down cars, boats, campers, trailers and junk all over the property. Dumpster always has furniture and mattresses laying next to it. There are these 20 year old charcoal grills on the property no one uses because they are so disgusting and rusted out. The stairwells entryways and windows have not been power washed in years. Management has been telling the residents they don't have the money to clean all the rust stains on the sides of all the buildings. However they do have enough money to hire more employees and buy up sister properties. Unprofessional. Disappointed. Residents are considering filing a class action with property owners. Dec 2016: This property is beautiful with the lake and walking area around the lake. There are spacious detached garages at a reasonable price and the apartments inside and outside are beautiful. The pool is also very nice and the people that work in the office and for maintenance truly care about residents. The dog park was awesome for our dog. I would definitely live here again if I were to move back to Cary NC. Only thing I would've changed was the location of our apt, we were on ground floor facing parking lot so people walking from their cars look in (kind of annoying) but other than that this was the nicest apartment and area I've ever lived in. I would definitely recommend.

I love my apartment and the location, it's so close to EVERYTHING. The dog park is great and the community is so dog friendly.
